  1. It's time for another "Tune or No Tune" thread. All you need to do is decide whether the chosen song is a TUNE (i.e. you love it) or a NO TUNE (i.e. you hate it). Quite simple! "You Can Call Me Al" was the first single released from Paul Simon's album Graceland. The song originally charted in the U.S. at #44 in October, 1986 but it was reissued with greater promotion in March, 1987 and hit #23. In the UK it peaked at #4. The lyrics describe a man experiencing an identity crisis ("Where's my wife and family? What if I die here? Who'll be my role model?") which is ultimately resolved when he takes a trip to "the Third World". The song features an unusual bass…

Pack enough water-skins and spears, it's not gonna be an easy walk! On the way there, two Clans will lose another member. Welcome to the GOING TO RHUIDEAN IMMUNITY CHALLENGE!!! The Rules: The game begins with the traveling down the road. A member from each clan must call out the previous poster by saying "On my way to Rhuidien, I saw Mynd and guess what he was eating?" Anyone can answer that, but if you answer you are the next person seen on the road. You can be as detailed or as little …

:( :( :( Hey, it was wonderful being a raw recruit and I enjoyed my stay alot, but right now with stresses at work being very high and not having access to DM anywhere else, I cannot give the time I would like to be in the band. I will stay on DM in various places and hopefully when (and if) things settle down at work, I would like to try again to be a band member. Thank you to all that helped me and making my stay wonderful. I don't feel like it is worth it to you, if I can't be here enough to participate in all I would want. Have a Bandy on me! ;D Sorry, to have to go! :(

I don't know whether this is my bad luck of June continuing, or Royal Mail (the UK postal service) being inept and incompetent. Before I went home to Wales early in June, I bought something off eBay. I had expected one of my housemates to be in the house when it arrived at my house in London. That didn't happen, as I got a "Sorry, you were out" card. I picked that up when I returned to London 10 days ago. I re-arranged delivery on the website, and specified it to be Monday 23rd June, as I would be in the house. Nothing appeared on that Monday. I arranged that day as I would be out early in the morning for the rest of the week as I travelled up to Rickmansworth for w…

June is fast turning into Muppet Month for me. Following on from deleting my music from iPod at the beginning of the month, the Muppet Curse struck again yesterday. While on the bus home from work, my mobile phone somehow slipped out of my pocket and onto the seat. I did not realise until several hours later. Thankfully, the bus company found my phone, and we are trying to arrange a time to pick it up. I am now beginning to fear what else might go wrong in June, and we aren't even half way through the month yet!

  29. Whether as part of Eurythmics or as a solo artist, there's no denying Annie Lennox's incredible vocals. I'm personally a huge fan of just about everything she's ever done. All you need to do is decide if it is a TUNE (i.e. you love it) or NO TUNE (i.e. you hate it). "No More "I Love You's"" is the song I've picked this week and it was the first single from her second studio album Medusa. The song was written by Joseph Hughes and David Freeman and was first released by their band, The Lover Speaks in the 1980s. This single became the highest charting solo single for Lennox in the UK, entering the chart and peaking at #2 (spending 12 weeks on the charts and al…

Sorry this is late, but here we go. So, Coldplay was picked as the Artist of the Month for June. This is a group that is quite close to me in more ways than one, considering that Coldplay come from University College, London - and that is where I studied my degree. Also the frontman, Chris Martin, happened to study in the same department as me, which was the Greek and Latin Department. Sadly, he did a inferior degree, since he did Ancient World Studies, and not Classics! 8) Formed in September 1996 by Chris Martin and guitarist Jonny Buckland, most of their first year was spent putting the Band together. The first name chosen by the two was Pectoralz, before "C…
