I like word games, so I thought we could get another one started. The idea with this one is that you can only change one letter of a given word to make a different word. For example: the first word: watch changing one letter: batch Make sense? The Rules: 1- You can only change ONE LETTER per turn! 2- You can add a letter, take away a letter, or change a letter. Yeah, everyone says you shouldn't, but c'mon... you can tell a lot about a book by it's cover, right??? Here, what does this cover tell you? OK, ignore the fact that you might've already read it... never mind that Harrison Ford is in the movie... What does the COVER tell you?

So, this title is pretty self-explanatory, I think. We're going to tell a story on sentence at a time. You can only post one sentence at a time and someone else has to post before you can post again. So, yeah.. .let's do this! The first line:

I have books! I love them! I want to share them with you! Come on in and play with me! This exchange is pretty simple, I think. You have books on your shelves, other people want to read books. Let's get together and pool our resources! This is a GREEN/RECYCLING way of handling books, after all! It gives you something new to read, gets books you have already read off your shelves, keeps them out of the trash bins.... it's WIN-WIN-WIN! So, who's with me? Anyone can play this one, you don't have to consider yourself a "writer" or even write anything other than a standard response. Alright, so we're going to tell a story, but the fun part is that you write 1 paragraph and then give the first line of the next paragraph to the person who posts behind you. Here's how it works: We start off with a 5 sentence paragraph (that I will graciously supply) and then I will write the first line of the next paragraph. Whoever posts after me will start their paragraph with the sentence I wrote, then add 5 more sentences and the first line of the next paragraph. I want to try working on descriptions with this one, rather than a writing topic that you respond to. This means anyone can play along. Our goal is 1,000 descriptive words about a single picture. Here's how it works: 1- I post a picture. 2- EVERYONE tries to think of a word to describe something in the picture (or the picture as a whole) without duplicating anything the others have used. 3- When we hit 1,000 words, we start over! Ready??

For those that don't know what an anagram is, enter my friend, Wikipedia: So, basically, I put a word out and we try to find as many words as possible using the letters of that word. :) I will make this easier by using the following rules: 1- You don't have to use every letter in the original word. 2- You can use a variant of the same word, as long as you're supported by the letters (ie, in Orchestra, you can list chat and chats as two different words). Nanofiction" is a word used by game designer Andrew Looney to describe very short stories -- 55 words or less. All stories have at least four elements: character(s), setting, conflict, and resolution. Here is how we're going to play this online. I will give you a numbered list for each of the first three elements (I'll let you figure out your own resolution!). You hit a random number generator that will select each element for you.
