Because I am presently trying to work my way through the movies leading up to the Avengers. Which was your favorite? Did it live up to the super hero you knew and loved before this wave of movies? The movies I'm talking about: IronMan/IronMan2 Captain America The Hulk Thor I've seen them all but Thor and IronMan2. So, try not to spoil it for me! ;)

I thought we'd do this a little different this year. I want to see if you can find 30 things to be happy about, but reality is that you're probably not going to get one posted every day. It's great to be thankful for something. It's even better to voice that thankfulness in public places. But what are you doing about it? This year, with all the tragedy around us these days, I want to challenge you to do something about the things you're thankful for. "What in the heck are you talking about, Lor? Did your meds fry your brain?" you might ask. Um, no. I just want to start a tradition, among those of us here at the Kin, to do more than just be thankful. This spam is brought to you by the fact that I have unearthed my desktop. I have rescued it from the peril of the clutches of the Peanut! (aka, I have finally cleaned out all the crap that has accumulated on my desk in my office/Peanut's Toy Room in the last year as I moved the last of her stuff out of here in preparation of making this room Tadpole's bedroom). Yes, you should applaud now. ;)

Well, I had an MRI yesterday. I need surgery. I'm waiting on the neurosurgeon. I have spinal stenosis..... It's narrowing of the spine. If nothing is done, I would be eventually be paralyzed. I also have a disc that need to be removed. Good news, is that it's not a difficult surgery and the pain will be gone and yes, I will still be able to walk. The doctor took me off work tomorrow until whenever I am healed. While I love my job, it's very stressful and it was difficult for me to cover three counties. I should also be around here more!

This is just a little note to let you know that I'm not ignoring you. My migraines are being triggered by my sinuses the last few days and it's all I can do to not put myself to bed as soon as I get the girls to bed. :( Throw in some bad news from the friend I told you about that has PML and it's just rough all the way around, lately. :( How's everyone else doing?

Yes, the taintiest theme week of DM is back. This year we have a lot of fun games, competitions and discussions. In true BT spirit there will be a Spam War and a One Power Tournament. One Power Battles are usually held in one of our private boards so if you want to try it out, now is the perfect time. So, it's my 2nd favorite month of the year! I bet you can't guess why... *grins*

This is an entry level course here at Kin U, so there is no pressure. Our goal in this class is to have some fun and get some great crafts, too! It's about 3 months until the last WoT book. I'm excited for the book but very sad as well. I came to the series late, a little over a year ago. I missed out on all the anticipation, excitement and discussions of each book as they came out. How will this change Dragonmount? I plan to stay here and still want in inhabit Randland with all of the people here. Will we be here?

So, what do you read when you're not doing a yearly reread of WoT books??? Depending my mood, I read anything from epic fantasy, urban fantasy, children's books, romance, historical fiction, teaching blogs, magazines... I'm not terribly picky apparently. LOL

....complete the crossword on the main WT & Warders Board? I'm hosting and and there have been no takers as of yet. :-(
