It's my winter addiction. I've become more addicted now that everyone's adding peppermint. I made my usual home recipe and added some peppermint and it made me think... How do YOU make hot chocolate? If you don't make your own, what do you get when you go out?

So, something I've started doing since Tadpole came along is really working on collecting coupons. In September, I saved $100, just in coupons. That was without me trying very hard, either. I've stepped it up a little since then, though my husband refuses to let me loose to building a stockpile and, until I finally get a paycheck again, I'm a little short on funds (which is the reason I started this to begin with...). I was just wondering, if anyone here was interested in my finds (I got a free Transformer Action Figure from Target for Peanut last month, for example). I can stop in and post, but if I'm talking to myself, it seems kind of silly. So, anyone else i…

So, I had a particularly rough day at school, yesterday and it made me wonder... What's the worst part of your job? And, yes, I do consider staying home with kids a job. Especially when you factor husbands in. LOL I'm an elementary school teacher. For me, dealing with the parents is the worst part. Some of them really don't know their kid, so when I call them, I am the one who gets yelled at for not doing stuff (even though I usually did...).

So, since there are a few crafty folks around and we're talking about snow, snowflakes and other cold stuff, I thought this would be a good thread to start! So, if you have an idea, or a link to an idea... post away! Maybe, if time and your wallet permits, you can try one of these and post pics! :D

The temps here in sunny Savannah, GA are dropping into the low 20's tonight, which makes me pretty darned miserable. I am NOT a cold weather person. Don't look at me like that. Anything under 60 means I'm unhappy! LOL But it made me think... What is the lowest temp you've ever experienced? Where were you? When did it happen? I need to know so u know where to avoid when I start traveling. :)

I was talking to Twinny the other day and in the discussion mentioned Tadpole's heart rate as an indicator of (his/her) gender. She threw out a few other wacky theories and so I thought this would be a fun way to predict the gender of my 18 week old fetus! I have my gender-hunting ultrasound on April 12th, so that gives us 12 days to play. *smirks* So, if you've heard that something will predict the gender of a baby in mommy's belly, SHARE! We'll test it! :D The list so far: Heart rate- The research: If the heart rate is below 140 bpm, it's a boy. Above 140 and it's a girl. The Experiment/Data collection: hart rate at 6 weeks was 126 bpm, at 13 week…

Cookies are probably the most dangerous dessert possible. They're cheap, easy to make and you have the ingredients, if not a cookie mix, right there in your cabinet! You also make them a dozen at a time and usually don't need a fork to eat them! In my book... That makes them very, very dangerous! So, when bake cookies day comes around, I can't resist! I threw a dozen peanut butter and chocolate chip Otis Spunkmeyer cookies in the oven with the help of my nimble fingered assistants, Peanut and Tadpole! On that note, if you didn't have to worry about anything like money, space or time, what kind of cookie would you want to tackle?
