I woke to watch The Tournament of Roses Parade. Nothing cheers me more than Marching Bands and Equestrian Groups.. One Band was new to the Rose Parade. They were The Liberty High School Grenadier Band from Bethlehem PA. These kids are amazing! Have a listen to Scotland The Brave Black Bear. The only high school in America with PIPES! I had tears in my eyes... There was The Salvation Army Rose Parade Band and this year for the first time they visited from Wales! The US Marine Band was there too of course and as a Marine brat (admittedly many years ago) my heart was in my throat. When i woke up today, bf tells me i've got a package i need to pick up at the post office. So I go pick it up, come home, open it.... and its two round lamps... that changes color... which is awesome of course!! My bf loves them, and they are now standing on either side of the tv, making pretty lights in my livingroom. but its got NO card, NO name, NO returnadress... Kellan believes I have a very odd secret admirer, but I'm guessing its a gift from someone... Anyone care for a guess? Can it be Ursula? ;D

So, given I just read all about Kelly and Myst's parcels I'm figuring you'll guess I just had one too!! :D There is nothing quite like Twinnie mail to cheer you up hehe. Mine was a birthday, golden needle and Christmas all rolled into one and it kept me bouncing right through the weekend!! I got a beautiful angel with my birthstone (topaz) in her dress, all in lovely earthy colours... and a quilled bookmark... and a quilled notebook + pen too... and TWO pairs of socks, one set was red and fluffy and the other set had pandas on!! hehe... and ohh cheesecake kisses ... and a whole 24 day box calendar which is soooo sweet and each drawer has a charm in to go on the…

OMG I got the most awesome birthday package from Twinnie today!!! *SUPERSNUGGLES* :D My Mom was tooo impressed with her knitting skills on a pair of red knitted socks, and I am so loving them. They're so warm and snuggly! She made me a crocheted angel that is so beautiful! Her dress is in autumn colors with beautiful jewels on it.
