The Kin

You ever collect a book series that changes publishers, or changes format, or size, etc, so then half the series looks different, and then you have to re-buy the first half so it all matches? Well stargate switched to a "Thin Pack" starting in season 9, so I have 2-8 boldy sitting on my bookcase, and 9 unnoticed next to them! So today, I took 2-8 to an eBay store, and I turned in some coins at a coin counter for an amazon.com gift certificate, and between the two and a little extra money I will be buying 1-8 in the thin pack so it all matches. Hehe I am so weird sometimes! My floor can be a big mess, but heaven forbit my bookcase isn't PERFECT!

Hey guys I just joined the Kin. Could someone please tell me what exactly you guys are all about? I think I might have picked up a little bit from looking at other threads and Orgs but I wanted to make sure I knew what exactly went on here before I started posting random stuff.

For those who don't know, Twinny had surgery yesterday morning for a lot of different things. I sufficiently bullied her and her husband until he called me once they got her settled in recovery. She came through the surgery just fine and she's resting in her room. She should be released to go home (with lots of meds) on Monday, so ya'll keep her in your prayers! :)

Hi everyone! I recognize many of you from other Orgs and other sites (it's definitely good to see so many familiar faces)! I've been toying with the idea for awhile, but I have finally decide to post and join the Kin. I was especially inclined once I saw a thread about gardening. OK, so last week when I got bored, I watched a few episodes of "Top Chef" on Bravo. The inspiration for the elimination challenge was intriguing. You see, they had a 7 course meal to prepare (one course per chef) around the topic: The 7 Deadly Sins. They were each assigned a sin and got to choose which of the 7 courses they'd like to create using their sin as a guide. Hi guys, I started a new job today, and will probably not be around much for the next couple of weeks. I will be an Insurance Rep for 21st Century Insurance, after I pass the California Insurance Exam in about 3 weeks. I will be studying a lot when I am not at work training. Yipee for paychecks!
