One of two new broadcast hourlongs set in 1963 (the other being ABC’s “Pan Am”), NBC’s “The Playboy Club” is decidedly the lesser of the two not very good “Mad Men” wannabes. It’s about the employees and customers of pornographer Hugh Hefner’s flagship Chicago hot spot. The new series is the brainchild of Chad Hodge, who created the family-of-fugitives drams “Runaway” for the CW back in 2006. It stars piping hot 25-year-old big-screen actress Amber Heard (“Pineapple Express,” “Zombieland,” “Drive Hard”) as the lead bunny, 38—year-old primetime fixture Eddie Cibrian (“Third Watch,” “CSI Miami”) as a mob lawyer and the ageless David Krumholtz (“Numbers”) as the club man…

  8. The OnLive gaming service went online in the UK yesterday. It's been running already for a few months in the USA and has been surprisingly low-key in its marketing, despite the fact that it is - potentially, at least - one of the most revolutionary steps forward in PC gaming history. Up until now, the ability to run a game on your PC has been determined by the specifications of its components: how much memory it has, how much hard disk space and, most importantly, how powerful and capable your graphics card is. Playing games on PC has traditionally been an expensive proposition, requiring a reasonably heavy outlay to start with (usually around £500 at a minimum in the…

When are people going to stop saying he's not good enough "YET," and just say he's not good? hes a top grade back up, a stop gap kinda guy you put in when your starter is hurt for half a game and you plan on running the ball for the majority of the game. HE IS NOT A STARTING CALIBER QB!!!! And never will be. Career - 54.5% Passing/35 TD/38 INT/25 Fumbles/71.0 QB Rating= Overwhelmingly bland/blah/sigh/meh/*belch*

Just to get to know some of you guys, what online games(and when) have you played. I played Ultima Online from 1997 to 2001/2002. (Sonoma Server mostly) Left it for Dark Age of Camelot the day it went live. (Percival Server/ Albion) Left DAoC for WoW the day it went live. (Gorefiend then to RPPvP Server Emerald Dream) Havent played WoW(or anything) much this year. WoW FINALLY got old/boring. I'd just like to say that no online gaming experience compares to Ultima Online back in 1998 1999(Yes im old) The game was only 2D, but so far ahead of its time. The mage vs mage PvP is still the best PvP of any game EVER imo.(Macros and Scripts ruined it, but that took awh…

An article I read in the NY Times on September 25: I for one am a huge fan of Amazon and am extremely interested (from a sideline standpoint) to see how their tablet does against the rest of the market. I'm confident it will do very well and I think we'll see a polarization occur between Apple and Amazon (causing other tablet makers to see severe reductions in sales). This was definitely one of the best articles I've seen in the Times in a long time (and the rest of the paper was actually really, really good too) and the David Streitfeld brings up a very interesting point when he says this: "The competition will be asymmetrical. Apple s…

In the current fall preview issue of TV Guide (the one with the new Two and a Half Men on the cover, on sale now), longtime critic Matt Roush appears to dis, or at least dismiss, 17 of 25 new network shows. What Roush says: 1) CHARLIE’S ANGELS (ABC): “noisy misfire” 2) FREE AGENTS (NBC): “toxic” 3) A GIFTED MAN (CBS): “schmaltzy” 4) GRIMM (NBC): “muddled, mopey” 5) H8R (CW): “insipid” 6) HART OF DIXIE (CW): “patronizingly phony” 7) HOW TO BE A GENTLEMAN (CBS): “cringeworthy” 8) I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER (Fox): “shrill” 9) LAST MAN STANDING (ABC): “hammy retread” 10) MAN UP! (ABC): “charmless” 11) ONCE UPON A TIME (ABC): “convoluted and campy” 12) THE PLAYB…

So list your top 10 ten favorite TV shows of all time. Lists like this are great to see if you are missing shows that you could netflix or see how other's taste differ from yours. Feel free to comment on each other's lists. I am sure I will have to update my list often if I forget a golden oldie that should have been included.

So, with the CL final tomorrow, we are almost done with the season. Which means the time of madness is about to begin, where crazy transfers and even crazier rumours will entertain us till september. And with a World Cup this summer, it will of course be sillier than usual. So far we have David Villa, Valencia to Barcelona. Done deal, assuming Villa passes his medical, which he of course will. Marouane Chamakh, Bordeaux to Arsenal. Goes on free transfer, and it is a done deal. Ben Foster, Manchester United to Birmingham. Done deal. Laurent Blanc, Bordeaux to French national team. It is official that he will leave, but he will most likely be official…

OK people suspend your serious for a few moments and regard this tongue-in-cheek report done for MyndJack Radio last evening for what it is... A really pathetic attempt at humour. But I'm not proud so I'll paste the dang text of the audio here anyway. Disregard any factual errors. Hell, I certainly disregarded the facts. If anyone feels slighted ... GEEEEZ.. Get a grip!

Big moves today Bears get DE Julius Peppers - 6 years 90+ million dollars and RB Chester Taylor, who is actually decent. Cardinals traded Boldin to the Ravens Giants get S Antrell Rolle Miami has signed LB Karlos Dansby, and for some reason also signed injury prone and elite average QB Chad Pennington again. And the other busy team was the Lions, they signed DE Kyle Vanden Bosch and WR Nate Burleson to play opposite of Calvin Johnson. CB Dunta Robinson will be playing in Atlanta. Notable moves that may happen in near Future: RB Lendale White of the Titans is asking for a trade. WR Brandon Marshall is supposed to be visiting the…

Ok, I usually does not care very much about hockey, other than during the Olympics. But this years WC...what the hell? Denmark, ranked 13, beat Finland and the US and secured a place in the Qualifying round. Where they are currently beating the crap out of Slovakia, 6-0 in the first period... And Denmarks success sent the US to the relegation group... ;D
