As a Boston Bruins fan, I feel compelled to start this thread. It's nice to see four of the Original Six in this year's playoffs, with 3 of them already advancing to the second round (and possibly a 4th if Montreal wins Game 7 tonight). So who's your team? And why do you think they'll win (or lose)?

And get his shit together. You know, the same way we send NHL players to the minors for a few weeks when they suck for them to get their shit together.

I just took a look at the lines for next week at my book, and I'm seeing Detroit -3.5 against Minnesota next week. Is there any reason why I shouldn't be pounding this right now? I fear if I wait it will shoot up. Any advice?

Greetings and salutations. WEEK 1 MATCHUPS JD and Company faced off against the Warders and Tom Brady gave JD the upper hand with his 44+ points. JD strolled to a convincing victory 129.05-83.83 over the Warders. Boyo's Soy Bombers faced off against the Two Rivers Longbows. The Longbows had a good week with 97+ points, how ever the Bombers scored a disheartening (for the Longbows) 125+. Bombers defeat the Longbows 125.61-97.18 In this weeks closest match, and therefore dubbed the MATCH OF THE WEEK, Fists of Heaven faced off against Pandamonium. Both teams scored over 100 points, and the difference in points came from their tight ends. Pandamonium's Aaron H…

What was the most shocking draft pick this year? To me, either Teabow(?) or Clausen... Maybe McCoy falling into 3rd round.

So Rally Sweden's on this weekend! Sordo looks like he's fast, and he had good pre-season experience on snow and ice in the Artic rally. However, rally Sweden looks to be more snow and/or frozen gravel this year, which is different. Raikkonen, also from the Artic rally, will probably struggle with the relatively unfamiliar conditions and having to manage his snow tyres on the gravel. I pick Loeb to win, since I think he's best at tyre management. Marcus I expect to be fast but to go off, as in Portugal last year, Kimi I expect to be relatively slow and maybe to go off. Hirvonen has a good shot at winning, but I don't see him being so good at Loeb with tyres. Sordo's…

Well I think we got this working now.... *knock on wood* Dragonmount is now running on (2) servers working together. The "saidar" server is our old DM server from DM7. It's running Apache, which is the actual web server. This means that when you go to any page on DM, this is the server you hit, and this is the one which serves you the actual web page. But every single one of our web pages need to access a database. It needs to know if you're logged in, who you are, what you have access to, etc. It also needs to know which banner ad to report back whether or not you clicked it. All of this data is stored in our database. And our database is now stored on the second…

Two ex NFL coaches are heading to the UFL. If there is no football for part of the year... or all of this year... will you watch UFL games? Do you think players sign short term contracts with teams?

Since the 6 Nations tournament begins over here in the Northern Hemisphere, it is probably time we had a thread started. England play Wales in Cardiff tonight. I'm usually pretty useless at predictions, but I am going for an England win by 7 points. It will be a close game, and probably with lots of errors. As for who will win the tournament, I think France, as long as they can play away from home. But it should be close, with England, Wales and Ireland in the mix. Scotland and Italy might produce some shock results as well. Roll on tonight!

Three of the biggest names in the NBA have all gone to Miami, and are likely going to all be signing long term contracts meaning Miami could be dominant for a long time to come. LeBron James, Dwanye Wade, Chris Bosh have all committed to the heat. Personally I wish LeBron would have gone to Chicago. I have a soft spot for them because me and my grandpa (lived in Illinois for 70+ years) used to watch their games on TV, however that's not the case. The only problem I see is that there may be TO much talent on this team. Ego clashing, players not feeling like they're getting enough minutes/points... it will be interesting.

What a crazy fight last night, have never seen anything like that in my years watching boxing. To me though it's funny everyone is saying Mayweather cheated. In fact Ortiz was the only one who did something illegal and then made a rookie mistake that cost him. What do you all think?

Right now I'm thinking David Lean. Lawrence of Arabia, Bridge on the River Kwai, Doctor Zhivago, A Passage to India, Oliver Twist. He might not be the most prolific director, but his movies are astounding both in scope and tale. He's one of my favorite directors and I'm throwing his name out there for best of all time. Some obvious choices: Spielberg, Scorsese, Hitchcock, Kubrick, DeMille, Lynch, Wilder, Wyler, Fellini.

Just interested in what you guys thought of Heath Ledger, and his passing. I know its been a whlie, but asking everyday people and asking people with common interests are two very different things. I for one LOVED Heath Ledger. Even before his Joker role, he was brilliant. Had he lived he would of been the next (insert major star). I thought he was great in A Knights Tale, which is a very good movie. But nothing could have prepared me for his Joker role. IMO best villain portrayel EVER. The best scene doesnt even involve him saying a word. Its all summed up the scene were hes escaped from jail and is hanging his head out of the police car, and the movie sort of slows down…

Anyone see the Guy Ritchie movie Rock N Rolla? Its one of my fav movies ever. And he was suppose to do the sequel, but when his Sherlock Holmes film did so well, he moved his efforts into making that sequel instead. Had it been any other movie, Id be mad. Sherlock Holmes(Guy Ritchie) is another great, great movie, but I was SO looking forward to Rock N Rolla 2. Johnny Quid character is entertaining. He's no Mickey(Brad Pitt in Snatch), but still a cool char. Snatch Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels Rock N Rolla Boondock Saints I like those type of Euro Gangsta films.

I do not know what to say about the opener. Fairly land was dumb. I dislike about half the main characters including Sookie, Bill, Tara and Marlene. Eric and Pam were awesome per usual. I think this may the season that sinks the series to be honest.

Did anyone else like the original Spartacus series on Starz? I thought it was beyond amazing. Characters and storyline were captivating. It's EXTREMELY sad that Andy Whitfield died. Who could seem more impervious to death? He was so strong, and seemed so healthy. Its quite scary. He made the series. Im hoping this new guy can come across with the same passion. Im looking forward to the next season of Spartacus, and I loved the prequel mini series they did as well. But his death is truely sad. Top three saddest celebrity deaths for me. Id say Heath Ledger was number one, Robert Jordan number two, and Andy Whitfield number three. At least Jordan got to live a longer, fulfil…

So I was going through what you are all taking about with sports and noticed that you don't have a discussion for the hockey season this year. (I guess you just needed a Canadian to start it that's all)(this comment is not meant to be rude) So...Who you think will make it to playoffs? Your favorite team? Your favorite players? Impressed with anyone yet? Oh! Your fantasy team?(If you have one, cause I don't:tongue:) Personally, I'm not sure who will make it to the playoffs, because in the past i have been far off so I won't even try. My team is the Calgray Flames. (go ahead and laugh, I'm use to it) I look forward to see what the rookies do this year, especially Taylor H…

on finally winning a playoff series after 50 years of existence. :) I'm not in the business of making predictions and I'm not a rah rah rah Rangers fan, but it was nice to see them get over that hump. My personal thought is the Yankees in 6 or 7, but Texas DID win the season series with them, so who knows.
