So, who do you think will the Super Bowl, the Patriots or the Giants? I guess the real question is can the Giants beat the Patriots? :P I'm not really in the know, cus I've only been watching the NFL for a couple of months, but the Patriots are quite impressive. Anyone wanna bet what the score will be? Loser has to watch the newest Uwe Boll film? Funny unrelated anecdote. A friend of mine was in the U.S. recently and I dared him to go around the streets alone in some of the more dangerous neighbourhoods of Washington, D.C. wearing a Giants cap. He never turns down a dare, and he said he'd never been as afraid before. It probably wasn't dangerous but h…

This was in my Netflix queue, I never seen it before, and its supposed to be a comedy, and given the disaster that was Rush Hour 3, or is it 4? I've lost count of those movies... Anyways, as far as comedy movies go, I'd probably give it about a C-, by comparison, Animal House would be about an A-, and Vanwilder about a B+. Now, their are a few funny scenes, but they don't make up the bulk of the movie by an means. However, probably the funniest scene in the movie, would be the last 5 minutes of the movie. It ties in on some past 'jokes' they had in the beginning/end of the movie, for an awesome conclusion. If anything, see the movie for last 5 minutes of the mo…

2005's Oscar-winning best film "Crash" is being turned into a thirteen-episode, one-hour original drama series for the Starz cable network. Director/Writer Paul Haggis along with producers Bobby Moresco, Bob Yari, Don Cheadle, Mark R. Harris and Tom Nunan who all worked on the 2005 film are involved in the series co-produced by Lionsgate and debuting exclusively on Starz in 2008. This marks only the second time a Best Picture Oscar-winner has been turned into a series, the first being "In the Heat of the Night". Production on the drama is scheduled to begin in the Spring.

Empy has now completed his quest to see the movies nominated for best picture this year and bring back his thoughts. Lets begin with how Empy ranks the films: How much I enjoyed the films: No Country for Old Men Juno Michael Clayton There Will Be Blood Atonement (really think something else should have been nominated, like Into the Wild) How likely the film will win the category: No Country For Old Men There Will Be Blood Atonement Juno Michael Clayton Synopsis: Michael Clayton (George Clooney) is a “fixer” for a major Manhattan law firm. He is called in to deal with a bizarre case once his close friend, Arthur (Tom Wilkinson), apparen…

Thanks to a waiver from the WGA, the Screen Actors Guild Awards went ahead last night with all the stars turning out to celebrate their craft. "No Country for Old Men," "The Sopranos" and "30 Rock" proved multiple award winners. Day-Lewis, Christie and Bardem scored expected wins for acting, though "American Gangster" actress Ruby Dee beat out favourite Cate Blanchett for supporting actress. Here's the complete list of this year's winners: Best Ensemble: "No Country for Old Men" Best Actor: Daniel Day-Lewis, "There Will Be Blood" Best Actress: Julie Christie, "Away From Her" Best Supporting Actor: Javier Bardem, "No Country for Old Men" Best Supp…

I just about wet my pants when I saw the website was actually up. After flirting with development hell the Lost Video game is really just around the corner. http://lostgame.us.ubi.com/ Featuring 7 "episodes" scripted by the show's producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. Much pleasure.

  18. I saw a trailer for this before Juno, and I laughed a lot. Starring Ralph Fiennes, Colin Farrel, and Brendan Gleeson, it's the story of two criminals trying to hide out in Bruges, Belgium, and making a mess of it. It seems to be a comedic action movie, but they may just have chosen lots of funny lines for the trailer, and it's actually more serious. A little hard to tell, but I really want to see it if it is released around here. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0780536/ Trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/focus_features/inbruges/trailer1/

  23. I saw the pilot episode on Sunday, but missed the new episode on Monday. WARNING SPOILERS The plot surrounds Sarah and John approximately 2 years after the second movie ended. They are being pursued by the FBI in connection with the death of Miles Dyson and the destruction of Cyberdyne. There is a new Lock-Jaw type Terminator hunting them and a sexy high school student Terminator defending them. Neither were identified as a particular model, but the defender has a personality in the beginning. I was intrigued enough by the pilot to continue for a few more episodes. I was however disappointed with the final piece of the plot lin…

Has anyone experienced the three flashing red lights? I was playing NCAA 2007 and the screen froze. I rebooted and got the bloody three flashing read lights. I have submitted a work order to have it fixed, but I wonder if it would be easier just to take it back to Best Buy since I have that 4 year warranty on it.

A class-action lawsuit has been filed against Microsoft in a U.S. District Court in Texas on behalf of gamers affected by Xbox Live crashes over the holidays. The suit alleges breach of contract, breach of warranty, and negligent misrepresentation stating the stakes somewhere over $5 million. So, do you think Microsoft should pay out such a huge amount in exchange for periodic outages? Maybe more than just the crappy Live game they shlocked up as a peace offering would have sated users. Now they’ve got somewhat of a problem on their hands.
