FROM AICN A SciFi Channel adventure based on the classic comic strip, “Flash Gordon” depicts an athlete who finds himself contending with otherworldly menace. When SciFi needed a showrunner for its update of “Battlestar Galactica,” it hired Ron Moore, who co-wrote “Star Trek: First Contact” and had a hand in some of the best episodes of “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” and “Carnivale.” When SciFi needed a showrunner for “Flash,” it hired Peter Hume, who has written for “Charmed,” “Relic Hunter,” and Jennifer Lopez’ “South Beach.” Did SciFi choose wisely this time around? “Flash” apparently got the greenlight over Moore’s “…

http://www.fox.com/kitchennightmares/ It was listed in Empy's Premiere dates list for this fall. Now I have seen not only a preview, but also a sneak peek. Wow. I've worked in food service before. Quite a bit actually. And yeah, if people who have never worked in food service walked back to the kitchen, it would be a Bit surprising. But, wow, these restaurants sound like they should be shut down by the health department. I can't imagine why a chef would agree to BE on this show. I'll probably check it out as I can deal with this jerk of a chef screaming at people who truely deserve it. I just never even attempted to watch Hell's Kitchen because I'm not i…

Update: Bungie has supplied us with details on their site. The online co-op mode is set up in a lobby, similar to the matchmaking system found in Halo 2 and Halo 3 beta. You can join others in their game, or simply start your own session. To stay true to the game, Bungie decided to implement unique character models in online co-op: Player one will be Master Chief, player two as the Arbiter and the other two will play as two new Elite characters. Plus, as it was first featured in the Halo 3 Beta, you can record all the glory in online co-op (screenshots or video) via the Saved Films feature to relive all the touching moments. Bungie also recommends we serve the Cove…

The wife and I watched the season premiere last night and thought the show was actually quite good. So much so, we created a series taping on the DVR. Anyone else catch this? Are we late to the party because it is airing on BBC america?

  10. New Regency is close to a deal with the Mark Gordon Co. to adapt popular 1980s Japanese animated TV series "Voltron: Defender of the Universe" into a live-action film reports Variety. Justin Marks is penning the script, described as a post-apocalyptic tale set in New York City and Mexico. Five ragtag survivors of an alien attack band together and end up piloting the five lion-shaped robots that combine and form the massive sword-wielding Voltron that helps battle Earth's invaders. Marks is also adapting "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" for Joel Silver at Warner Bros., "Street Fighter" at Fox and the Green Arrow pic "Supermax" for Warners.

The original thread, in its entirety can be found <a href="http://www.dragonmount.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16836&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0">here.</a> But for a quick recap of the questions, here's they are: Q1: Was the movie made after December 31st, 1979? YES Q2: Is the movie currently on the IMDB top 250 movies of all time? NO Q3:Was the Film Made after december 31st 1995? NO Q4:Is it a comedy? NO Q5:Is it an action movie? (Action being anything that involves shoot outs, fire fights, high octa…

Don't know if this is the correct place for this post or not... My favorite all time movie is Forrest Gump. It's hard for me to pick a particular scene as favorite...I liked the whole thing. The one that comes to mind is when he's telling Jenny that she was with him in VietNam when the stars came out if it quit raining...and running by the mountain lake...and out in the desert...and on the shrimp boat. I think he really did care about her. Any body out there enjoy the movie too?

I was watching ST: Voyager today and Janeway commented about Naomi Wildman's holo-novel and how she did the same one when she is six years old. Correct me if I am wrong, because I am not 100% sure, but in the first season of Next Gen, wasn't Picard so excited about the Enterprise's new holodeck because it was fairly new technology? I was under the impression it had only been developed a few years back? From Janeway's comment, at the age of six, as a commoner, she had regular access to technology that was probably not invented yet, or at best, was not available to the public yet!

The adorable kitten below is up for trade. You send the owner a PSP or a Nintendo DS, and he/she sends you a kitty. According to the ad on Craigslist's "barter" section, the cat is an "award winning prestige calico kitten" in "Mint condition." We know you can't ignore an offer this amazing.

http://abc.go.com/specials/mastersofscifi.html This is apparently going to be a short run series of 4 Sci-Fi stories. I didn't know anything about it, but watched it on a lark because of the names attached to it. And I didn't have anything else to watch. Anyways, I was Very pleasantly surprised. I like to read, but I'm a slow reader so I don't read a lot. And I Much prefer fantasy/Sci-Fi to straight up Science Fiction. In fact, I usually just don't bother with straight up science fiction. But tonight's episode may change my mind. Especially for short stories, which are Perfect for me. Tonight's episode was a dramatization of John Kessel's short story…

I just thought it would be interesting to post. I remember my ex's brother used to be flown and chauffered to lots of gaming cons and sent free games all the time because he did really competent reviews of console games. It was like a second job where he didn't get paid, but got awesome kickbacks. Anyways, I guess now it's gone a step farther. I mean, Jeez, if a company gave my kid $100,000 just for wearing their headphones during a gaming competition, I'd pimp him out and start a Gaming Busi…

So this show finally started on the BBC yesterday evening. It's been aired on the Sci-Fi channel over here but this is it finally making it out to a "wider" audience, which after all the hype, is kind of nice. They did a double episode showing. And WOW! I *loved* both episodes. It was seriously exciting. I am already desperate to know what is going on but have the feeling we'll be kept in the dark for a while. Did anyone else catch it last night? I'm very happy. It took over from Rome but I'm sure it'll keep my Wednesday Nights, just as compelling! I'm just sad they're not doing it on a "Wednesday/Sunday" showing again!

Superman, Batman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and the Green Lantern are all tipped to be teaming up for the big-budget action spectacle. According to Collider, the "Justice League" film is more of a priority for WB than the sequel to "Superman". Kiernan and Michele Mulroney were hired to pen the script back in February.
