Hello all my fellow members of the White Tower! I just wanted to let you all know that the Front Page Theory Blog--"WoT If?"--has kicked off a complete series reread! Last week, we read "Ravens"--the prologue's prologue--which was released in the YA version, From the Two Rivers. Tomorrow will be the real prologue "Dragonmount." After that, each week will cover only a few chapters (probably 3-5). If you feel like joining in, please do so. Even if you aren't rereading, please stop by and discuss with us!

I wrote this almost four years ago for an assignment. It's one of my best, and most original. What do you think? Supressed Twilight The bitter twilight of love unprofessed if not let go with malice and death will forge the mind and soul. Despair will rear its ugly head and smile its oily smile for it will have gained the prized black thread of a life that is no longer worthwhile. The bitter twilight of love kept pent up will scour the golden beauty of life and pour from evil's hated cup the black taint of spite. If the immeasurable warmth of love is kept hidden away in eternal darkness the path of your life shall lay.

Greetings! Fellow travellers and Tar Valon Witches! This is my first time here at Dragonmount and/or The White Tower, so I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. I’ve read most of the introductory posts on the forums but there are still a few queries I was hoping someone might clear up. First and fore-most, could someone explain how the White Tower society in this thread actually works? I know Elgee…errr I mean Mother, said that there were to be minimum role playing in these sections, but also goes on to talk about things like ‘channelling’, ‘bonding’ etc. What I am curious about is how these things actually work, if you’re not RP-ing, and to what…

So the DR:RP seems pretty straightforward to me but the social group thing just has me confused. I mean it looks like a place to just hang out and talk... but I see you do have some form of structure and role-play system implemented as well. What is happening in here?! I'm so very confused!!!

I want to come up with a system for generating character abilities at random that can be used both here and the DR:RP section. Explanation The way this would work is when someone creates a new character they find someone to roll a bunch of dice for them. Each roll is determining what abilities they have / how strongly they have them. Once the rolls are done the person who rolled them keeps them secret, only letting they person know they have them where relevant. For instance they might start makings strange things happen around you when you are in need if you can channel, tell you that you can sense scents and images coming from a wolf, or you see pictures flo…
