I found this in another board and since I figured not everyone cruises DM in their spare time, like I do *ggls*, I'd repost the test and you all can see where you end up. The test http://vitatornet.se/role-playing/ajah-test/ I got the Green Ajah and unsurprisingly I got Brown as my second option. Probably why Raena see's me in the Browns all the time. *ggls*

For those who don't know, November is National Novel Writing Month. I'm going to try this for the first time ever, and would love some writing buddies and/or moral support as I try to hit 50K words. I've started my planning over in the ACW guild, here is the thread with my novel's synopsis and details so far. I'd love some feedback, as I really have no clue what I'm doing. ^^ If anybody else has done NaNo before, I'd appreciate any tips and tricks you have!

  7. Hello, and welcome to this Introduction to Roleplay class! I decided to write this class as a help to those out there who might be curious about Roleplay but are too confused by it to try, people who want to Roleplay but are not confident in their abilities yet, and people who already RP but still have questions about it or would like to improve their abilities. I would like to start out by telling you all a little bit about myself. My name is Claire, and I have been a member of DM since 2001 or so. I have roleplayed as various characters over the years, mostly as Aes Sedai, but also as a wolfkin, a damane, a Black Tower soldier, and a trolloc. Writing is one of th…

Hello, everyone! The Mother, Tyn and Heart have graciously allowed me to host a round of my Introduction to Roleplay class. I used to rotate this class around from Group to Group, and it is great fun. 10. It's everybody's favorite thing! A wordfind! Ideal for attaining that manner of serving harmonically. Watch them parallel fifths, though. If you can find every word, including the fiendishly difficult word "Bathtowels", you will be awarded a pretty blue and grey siggy. Please PM me your answers.

These are the items being donated to a women's shelter. Please PM the correct answers to me and then I will provide you with a nice siggy for this event.

  14. The Brown Ajah is observing Banned Books Week on our Ajah board. All are invited to take part in an event that marks the freedom to read, and discussing the controversy some works tend to generate. In the 30 years since it began, it has expanded internationally to call attention to people in countries with bad human rights records who are persecuted for works they write, read, or circulate. For those who aren't familiar with it, Banned Books Week is an annual event started here in the States celebrating freedom to read and drawing attention to banned or challenged works. Here's a link to the Wikipedia entry. http://en.wikipedia....nned_Books_Week Here are some li…

  15. As we all know, the Aes Sedai of Rand Land considered themselves to be “Servants of All.” We won’t get into how they served others “in their own way” - through manipulation and bullying at times – but what we will do is look at how we, in our world, can serve others. Granted, we don’t have the One Power with which we can do great and wondrous things; we do, however, have the power – and by that, I mean the ability – to change one little part of the world. Whether for one person, a local community, or a community on the other side of the globe, we can make a difference in the lives of others. In this topic, we will be discussing ways, both small and large, in wh…

  16. Welcome, everyone to the Wheel of Time Discussion for the Harmony Through Service Blue/Gray Event! We often call ourselves Aes Sedai here. And, as Aes Sedai, we fit into our Ajahs with a purpose. It is pointed out, occasionally, what Aes Sedai means in the old tongue : Servant of All. The questions I lay before all of you, with those words in mind, are these: Do the Aes Sedai in the books uphold this concept? Have they always upheld this idea of being a Servant of all? If they are not servants of all, then what could they do differently, to be these servants? Are some Ajahs more likely to be servants than others? …

So, I was watching the telly today... and I saw a commercial that literally had me double-take. It was a commercial for BIC pens (not sure if this is just a US thing, but BIC is a really popular brand of pens and pencils). A young female (probably about 15 years old) walked through the hallway of her school and asked to borrow a pen. Boys from all around reach out to give her an assortment of blue and black pens. She declines and frowns and then the BIC mascot man hands her a pink pen and she grabs it and is all happy again. They are dubbed "BIC for her." I'm sorry... when did men take over blue and black ink pens? When did the standard pen become a "male…

I've seen some awesome ads on here, and some that make me giggle, and then there's some that make me go WTF?? I know we don't all get the same ads, because some are very local area specific (I doubt you all will get ads for Cape Town, South Africa). So what interesting/funny/WTF ads have you spotted? Here's one I can't quite decide about ... lol

  25. If you have been around for a while you know that the Brown Ajah hosts an event each year for Banned Books Week. What is Banned Books Week, you might ask? From the American Library Association's website: This year marks the 30th anniversary of Banned Books Week, and the celebration will be held from September 30 through October 6. Here on Dragonmount, we will have a celebration of the week at the Brown Ajah boards. Among other things, we will have a discussion about The Hunger Games The trilogy, written by Suzanne Collins, was the third most challenged* book in the United States in 2011, for the following reasons: anti-ethnic; anti-family; insensit…

Or writing, or fantasy. I am currently painting (well, staining) the bookshelf that goes on top of my desk. I have this beautiful silvery paint that I want to write a quote on the bookshelf with. The problem is... I can't come up with anything good. So, I'm asking you guys for help. The bookshelf won't be ready for that layer until tomorrow morning, so you have a dash of time. I'm going to post this at Shayol Ghul and the Wolfkin as well, and I'm up for offering points or whatever. This means a lot to me, and I will love you forever if you come up with something awesome. Ideas so far: "Either write something worth reading or do something wo…

    1) Do we have a graphologist in the building? That'd be cool 2) I was talking about this with a few people somewhere else and thought it'd be a fun conversation/showcase thing here too So, I have the handwriting of a 13 year old boy no matter which hand I use. I'm actually ambidextrous but I prefer using my left hand when writing. A lot of things like throwing an American football and using a computer mouse I can do with both hands about equally, then I actually tend to Sign with my right hand far more than my left. Soooo here's cursive and print with my left and right hands. Right is lighter and shakier and takes a tad longer, but the end res…
