Tagless clothes. They've been around for awhile, but they are starting to become more common. The last tees and camis I bought at The GAP were all tagless, so are all of my husband's Hanes menswear. I'm fairly sensitive to the way clothes feel on body. Not as much as I used to be when I was a kid, but I still cut tags out of many of my clothes, especially undies. I just hate the way they rub against me. So for me, tagless clothes are completely awesome. Which invention has revolutionized your life?

Empty posts - what are we typing for? Abandoned threads - I guess the posters are poor.. On and on! Does anybody know what we are reading for? Another thread - another mindless post. Behind the forum, in the board. Hold the line! Does anybody want to read it anymore? The threads must go on! The threads must go on! Inside my heart is breaking, My nails may be flaking, But my smile, still, stays on! I was bored.

Let's talk Snape and Malfoy! Does Malfoy have the Dark Mark? Is he Death Eater? His birthday is June 4th (according to JK Rowling's webpage), so technically he would have been of age at the battle of Hogwarts at the end of the book, which means that he was no longer just a junior Death Eater (if one at all) but a full-fledged one. Also, what's going to happen to Draco now? And really, is Harry's obsession with him merely platonic?? (:P) And of course Snape. The guy who has me awake at night pondering his allegiances. Is he evil? Is he not? If not then you do realize that would make him a triple agent or something? So, let's discuss it, and let's back it up wit…

Well, seeing as how I was informed at my doctor's appointment yesterday that baby #2 will be joining the family sometime next week (*gasp*) it's occurred to me that we should just maybe have a name for the kiddo. :D The last name is set (Lott) so that's taken care of, and the first name was easy (Alexander), but middle names... ugh. Hubbie's super picky, but some names he hasn't hated were Thomas, Martin, Seth, Nathan, and Trevor. Any of those sound better than any others? Initials have also been a pain to deal with, since A_L can spell a variety of things/common abbreviations, which my family will make merciless fun of. :) Any other suggestions that I can wave …

I'm sorry this last thread has taken so long but I've been a little busy. I thought about dropping it alltogether, but I figured we needed a proper ending. So, I figured a good way to end this was by talking about the next book. We don't yet know when it'll be out (though my money is on next summer), nor do we know the title or.. well.. we don't know anything at all, really. But, let's take some time to talk about it, discuss theories, and then I officially declare this second Harry Potter Week (month? :P) to be over!

For the past few months, I've been craving green tea ice cream. Rich and creamy with just a little tang to it. Yum. Anybody else have food cravings?

If you could design a ter'angreal to use not in Randland, but in our world, what kind of ter'angreal would you make? I would make a weight loss ter'angreal. All you would have to do is hold it while you do just one workout, and you can lose as much weight as you desire during that time. Just think, if you want to lose 20 pounds before your class reunion, you only have to use the ter'angreal the night before to accomplish what you want. No diets or anything! :)

Yes, I've updated the list with the newbies in my inbox. No, I haven't updated points, yet. Due to connectivity issues and an insane real life hounding me at the moment, I'm going as much as I can in chunks. I'll hit the point thread *clears her throat and points all the newbies to the Activity thread in the Great Hall forum* after this weekend (most likely, hopefully earlier, but I'm not making promises). Sorry I'm being a bit slow with this at the moment. Once I get settled in my new job and convince my husband that wireless routers really do suck...badly... I'll get back on top of it the way I normally am. My J personality is screaming louder than ya'll a…

*grins* That's right, as of 11:30 EST this morning, I am finally a teacher again! :D I have battled off the @#$%& principle and WON! *dances around and sings off key at the top of her lungs* Aren't you glad I'm a 4th grade teacher instead of a music teacher? LOL I know I am!

In Remembrance, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. Jo Rowling herself confirmed Dumbledore's death, and it is now time for us to pay our respects. Light your candles here, and if anyone wants to say anything, feel free to say so. Dumbledore was the greatest wizard of all time, and now he is no more. This really makes me want to cry.

One day late, but here it is at last, the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince discussion. I thought we should start off with the basics. How do we feel about this book? It's been a year, have we finally managed to look at it as canon, or do we still think of it as one giant fanfic? Give me your options, your yays and nays and let's talk about what it is we like or don't like about this book.

Because it makes them feel smart. That probably bothers some of you. You know who you are. Let me guess, you hold a college degree and you read novels for pleasure. You are not other people I have no idea why we expect the entire world to share our preferences. We justify it by saying "Well, every I know does it this way..." We choose our friends because they reinforce us. They drive the same cars we do, eat the same kinds of food, make the same kind of money. Its the same reason so many people were horrified that George Bush won reelection. You don't know anyone who voted for him, because you don't hang out with those kind of people. But I digress. Around …

Well I just finished the script for the Sword Form Demonstration for DragonCon I have five scripted fights, two actual sword form demos, and a 45 minute (I hope) script now we just have to learn our lines, block and set pacing. On top of that I still have to make the playlist for the Evening at the Winespring Inn and I still haven't got anyone to sign up for the Gleeman's Competition. Arrrrrrgh! I love doing this and I know I'm ahead of schedule but I still stress a bit if things don't happen perfectly the first time.

I have three hundred dollars to spend this weekend! The govenor is up for re-election this fall, so he is giving each teacher a hundred dollar gift card to spend on classroom supplies. My school also gave me a bonus this year, in the form of a two hundred dollar VISA gift card. So I have three hundred dollars I can spend AND this weekend is tax-free in my state. So I'm going to blow it all on my classroom. I'm planning to buy myself an organizational system so my desk doesn't look like a tornado hit it all the time. I think I need to buy some shelves too. I need clothes too. Oooh...And books! I can't decide what I need!

For those who don't know, that's a silly Australian thing to say, though for all I know it could be British in origin. Most Aus things seem to be ;) *hides from militant fellow Aussies* ANYWAY...!!!! I spose it's fitting I'm rambling on about my countryfolk, because we have an Aussie Greenie of the Month this time around!! Congrats to Ell Sedai on her achievements for the Green Ajah and for this recognition of her awesomeness! :) Check out the Green Ajah homepage here to see the interview with Ell!!! And all the other cool things we have on our website, for that matter ;)

A few weeks ago, Joss Whedon received an award from Equality Now, a women's rights organization. At his acceptance speech, he spoke a little bit about his inspirations for his most memorablr characters. I highly recommend watching this, even if you aren't a fan.

I know technically the Harry Potter discussion doesn't start until tomorrow (just finished rereading last night), but today is Harry's birthday (and incidentally also Jo Rowling's ;)), and I thought this needed a celebration. Also, 10 house points for *insert the House of your choice* to the first person who can tell me how old Harry is today. Mia Head of Hufflepuff

In two days, namely July 16th, it is one year since the last Harry Potter book - Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - was published in large parts of the world. For those of you who were here last year you'll remember that the Blue Ajah held a Harry Potter week to celebrate this event. Well, this year we thought it would be appropriate to do a "what do we think now?"-project. So, we'll be starting with a reread of this most amazing book, and we'll start, of course, on the 16th, as that was The Big Day. Then we'll read until the end of the month, and on August 1st we'll start discussing. The details are yet to be worked out, but we have a lot in store, that I can t…

I was updating mine yesterday, taking off things that I now own and adding things that I want, and I got curious. What kinds of things do other people put on their wishlists? Here's mine: http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/230OOIECYR5T7
