WELCOME TRAVELLER! A New Beginnings is set in an Alternate Universe and is not associated with the characters from the books. Since we're in a small flux as we change over to a new timeline, it seems pertinent that I share where all the updates are happening so no one has to chance them down. Let's say we abandon the m'Hael/Amyrlin titles. Or, they become leadership titles under the Head of Council title. The idea is even a non-channeler can be higher than the Amyrlin/M'Hael making their role more diminished. It is Highly possible that the channelers could separate again, but for the time being we are assuming they merge and balance with the non-channelers. Suggestion about WS May be worth transitioning to the old WS 20 system. Refer to Weapon Scores & Blademasters post for character creation. The current system is good in that it doesn't do the old AD&D style of one weapon only, so you are great with a longsword but curiously have no proficiency with short sword. However, the proficiency scaling doesn't work particularly well for an all-rounder. First prof has your max WS, drop off by 2 for the second and an additional point for each proficiency. What it effectively means is that for the soldier who has average proficiencies across most weapons can't exist. Lets say . . . WS 4,…

One thing that we were missing was a Direction. A Goal. A plotline. This is where I want to have conversations with ALL players and really get us up and running with something we want to play. Moreso, I don't want to get suck on a single storyline either where we feel forced to make what happened in the books happen in the stories we tell with each other.

Firstly, please send some love and thanks to Kathleen & Jagen for all their incredible work in the Roleplay these past few years. Taking on the beast of the RP in addition to navigating the transfer to the clubs and then the return back to the forums, they really worked hard to keep as much as they could while working with a lot of limitations in the process.
