Now that the boards have been tidied up, there are a couple of points to address. If you need to resurrect an older thread, for instance, an unfinished story due to inactivity, please ask the RP Staff. They'll move it out of the archives for you and replace it on the correct board. 1. All Threads start as "OPEN". This means that unless the thread is designated as "CLOSED" between 2 or more players, anyone can jump in. 2. Please tag all RP threads with, at a minimum, your LOCATION. While not a requirement, it does help highlight where threads are located and who may be located in that area. The correct tag list is below. Everyone must …

.. A Broken Bond: Part 1 - Destruction and Disbelief .. ►▼◄ Lost in intense, vivid, and powerful Dreams, painful - ever so painful - Memories of the Past flashed again in Elessar’s mind, like needles piercing his brain.. His muscles twitched involuntarily and he trembled in his almost feverish Dreams.. Memories… ● In that timeless period between one second and the next, the Warder-Bond snapped, like a razor sharp knife slicing through the thinnest of paper, leaving only emptiness behind. Of a multitude of emotions filling Elessar’s mind right then, above all he felt shock. Utter and i…

The path to Malkier was an enlightening experience for Ashar. The farthest north he had ever travelled, the kind weather had failed to deny geography its due, it was getting colder. He'd been glad for the extra layer of furs he had picked up in Merrilor on the advice of those who knew better, even more glad he'd been able to secure some extra clothing for the others on the coin of the merchants who had employed them. Even now it was a welcome respite from the bite of a chill wind that contrasted with the sun that had blessed their path. The wagons at least had travelled well with little hassle. Only one axle had broken a week north of Merrilor, the teamste…

The whole thing was kinda surreal. He was going on a mission -- one that was not sanctioned by his fathers. But the rest of his day had gone as expected, classes and training and then a walk home. Kai made a point of telling everyone he was leaving to go North for a while. Everyone congratulated him and wished him luck. Some even muttered it's about time under their breath when he walked away. He'd been talking about it for so long it was hard to believe it was real. Walking home, Kai had a certain skip to his step. He was joyous and ready for anything. Probably a good thing to stay upbeat. He Still had to talk to his fathers. Or rather singular father. Merdyn…

Well, this looked like the place. It was an immense building, calling it an inn really didn't do it justice. A large hall topped with flags of a downward sword upon a shield, it was attended by additional structures on the block, the entire property ringed by a waist high cobble wall. Within those borders lay many benches with covering shade and a number of people who were already enjoying the fruits of hops and vine before the sun had reached its zenith. Not that Ashar was one to judge, but he had chosen the time in the hopes that not too many would be blind as a newt and he might get some relatively sober contenders. He'd agreed to a contract,…

"Why do you look so weird? Are you an outlander? Why are you here?" Frowning at urchin who had leapt from the tall grass to confront him, Ashar's eyes could not perceive any others in what was otherwise a sea of grass upon the plains parted only by the muddy trail that the boy stood upon in the morning sun. The path north to Merrilor had once been quiet, but that was before Tarmon Gaidon and before Merrilor was founded. The Caralain Grass had seen new settlements after the war or so he had been told, and this muddy child of no more than eight clearly hailed from one of these new places. Maybe he could make a job of mapping them, his purse was becoming lighter…

Awareness crept upon Ashar like a drum being beaten by an enthusiastic child, without rhythm or reason save for the sheer joy of causing nearby adults to wince. In this case the adult was a man tepidly greeting the morning with a groan from amidst stale sheets that seemed to cling to his every movement with a texture more appropriate to sandpaper than the cotton they were spun from. Ripping them off as he blinked his eyes, Ashar peered over the side of the bed to confirm what his nose had vindictively alerted him to, the bucket that was for his waste had found it during the evening, even if it had been expelled from the high end of town. Pushing the bucket a…
