  2. Fanten absently patted the stallion's neck as he gazed at the walls of what looked to be quite the settlement. Reaching up he re-tied his shoulder length, curly black hair with a leather cord and frowned, settling his wrists on the pommel once more. He normally looked as if he disapproved of something, however the view in front of him had him worrying slightly as well. This "Farm" as he had heard it called looked more like a small town, with black coated men striding about purposefully. He had come looking for the Horn and had expected...what? He wasn't sure what he had expected, but the thought of hundreds of channeling men gathered in one spot had sounded like the stuff…

  3. The sun had been up for hours and Thera still lay in bed with the covers pulled up to her chin. With her work and workout schedule restricted she’d finally had to tell Jasine the change that was about to occur in their lives. That he would love the baby and her was of no doubt in Thera’s mind, but as she’d predicted he had been scared at the prospect of fatherhood and concerned what it would do for their careers. The latter was not something she’d gotten around to considering yet, but when she did she knew it would be a painful day. Sighing she threw back the covers and tossed her legs over the side of bed. The warm wood planks on the floor felt familiar under her f…

  4. Selenessin walked through the halls of the White Tower with a sure step and determination in her eyes. It was not a foolproof way to avoid being set to do more work, but if you looked as if you were already on a chore that you didn't much care for, the odds of being given more to do went down considerably. Not for the first time, she thought that this aspect of life in the Tower was likely even still part of the training they were to undergo to become Aes Sedai. If asked if she was busy or running an errand, she could reply with "When am I ever not busy?" and most of those she came into contact with would take it as an affirmative, even if it was not. Side-stepping ar…

  5. Elyan had been at the Tower for several months, using wooden lathes for practice. He had also seen some of the other trainees caring for their own weapons. He had not seen the need for having his own weapon, having little experience, when he arrived, he would be more likely to stab himself than an opponent. Now that he had some skill using practice weapons, he felt that it would be beneficial for him to have a weapon of his own. He did not expect to need the weapon before being raised, but he knew the meaning of being prepared. Having the day off, Elyan walked across the yard towards the armory. He had never been inside of the building, but had seen men going in to …

Yeah, I should have posted this a week back, sorry. I'm in the middle of my finals term and between that and the Empys, I'm hardly online. So, sit tight and please please bear with me (also, wish me luck! O_O). I'll be back soon and things should fall back into routine again... I'll be around, but I won't be RPing in the next two weeks. After that, though, I'll be back full time :) Behave and feel free to to do some character development RPs while I'm out... you don't need me for that ;) *hugs all* Nyn

  7. Started by Raeyn,

Ferena had been pensive ever since receiving her summons from the Wise Ones, and she wasn’t sure that feeling was going to go away anytime soon. The entire trip to Rhuidean had been fraught with heavy thinking – why her? What had she done to catch the Wise One’s eyes? Not that she wasn’t honored beyond belief to be selected, but she couldn’t understand what she had done to garner this duty. <i>”I mean, all I’ve done with my time was grow up, maybe help some of the other children of the sept out with this and that in my free time. Nothing special with that, not really…”</i> Eying her father, she smiled suddenly. Both himself and her mother were t…

  9. Started by Sangreal,

Sandre sat alone in his room quietly. A trainee had delivered a wax sealed, and folded letter. The seal was none other than that of the Mistress of Trainees. He caressed the emblem with his thumb and wondered if his time here had come to an end. (Would I deserve any less? I flagrantly disregarded the rules for one month and found ways around others, I helped trainees that were breaking rules to correct their mistakes before they were caught, I still havent bathed in the bath house once.) The river had done for the bathes... colder but got his body used to the shock of blood loss at the same time. He also met Edana there...The trainee had told him that he needed to pack hi…

  10. Started by Ghaul,

"Till shade is gone, till water is gone ..." There was plenty of shade here, and plenty of water. But not for the life of him would Ghaul seek this refuge in the shade here, nor would he go near the water. This cursed landscape had more ways of killing a man than a weapon wielded by either a Shadowrunner or a Shadowtwisted. "... Into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath ..." Even disarmed, he was still a weapon. He was not dead yet, no matter what his captors fought for the man brought to them by a group of Eyeless, who then disappered for reasons known only to them. Ghaul was entrusted to 7 warriors, all of …

  12. Started by Talavin,

One would think that an organization of warriors dedicated to fighting the Shadow would have better things to do with their time than gossip. However, that would be a very wrong assumption. No one gossiped more than a group of men and women forced to stand guard at a wall all day. The best way to pass the time was to listen to the news travelling through those gates, and no news travelled faster in the Yards than the death of a Warder. Arath had no reason to expect that this day would be different from any other day; it was a cloudy day, but warm enough that it wasn't dreadful. In fact, it was the type of day that would pass unremembered by those who had lived it. T…

OOC : If I did understand it right, I post the intro of my character here after having my bio CC'd to get to begin RP'ing. If I'm wrong in doing this, you can lash at me.... ;) IC : Llewelyn departed from his village fully packed with a kiss on the cheek from his mother and a pat on the back from his father. It was the end of winter in Saldaea but the roads were still frozen solid, and outside roads was a fifty cm layer of snow that made it hard to tread through. It took Llewelyn a lot of time and strength and it was already spring when he finally made it to Tar Valon. He couldn't help but be bewildered by the magnificence of the White Tower. In Marado, th…

  17. Started by Jaydena,

Hi there, I just need you to say if you want to change this and I need a method of contact at the bottom. Thanks! The Blue Ajah is not concerned with means - their Sisters are all about goals. A Blue will gentle an Asha'man as soon as bond him, preserve some obscure knowledge as soon as obliterate it, mediate peace as soon as manipulate a bloody conflict. The Blue Ajah takes it upon themselves to involve the Tower in justice. Every Blue is knowledgeable about the world and its cultures and are well-versed in Daes Dae'mar, the Great Game. Of all Aes Sedai the Blues excel at manipulation, and their vast Eyes and Ears network is the envy of all. What makes a Sister a B…

  18. Started by U4ea,

Loraine turned a slow circle around the room, her eyes touching everything hesitantly. It had been a long time since she’d walked out of this room. Fear had kept her away; fear of being found out, of having her life stripped away from her like so many others, and of her children being ripped from her arms and passed on to some stranger. She and Kynwric had avoided contact with anyone touching this Tower since the moment they’d learned of the pregnancy, making only periodic appearances in public since then to keep in touch with contacts within the Tower. When her last contact died last year, they’d been forced to make the journey here. She bit the inside of her lip c…

Hey all! I am currently holding signups for a round of my Intro to RP class on the main boards of the Illuminator's Org here: http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php/topic,40271.0.html Now, obviously if you are on this board reading this post, you are already interested in RP. I wrote the class to help newcomers to RP learn what it is all about, and it also contains a great deal of help for those who are already in the RP and wish to improve there skills. There is always room for improvement, I think! Please feel free to sign up for the class if you are interested, as I am trying to get 8 participants for this round. Thanks! Claire

here shortly I will need to do my grandmaster spar...AND I want to teach a class. I can teach most all of them so what do people need?

  24. Started by AddiBeth,

So, Addi is currently feeling a little resentful towards the male gender as a whole and I can think of two male trainees in particular she'd love to exact vengeance upon (mind you, she's all for a feminist "rise against the male oppressors" sort of thing and anyone who may resemble a man is a possible target) any girlies up for some pranking? any guys up for being pranked? *paints targets on Elyan and Sandre* I'm totally up for retribution from the guys and punishment from our lovely Mistress of Trainees or his darling assisstant.

  25. Started by AddiBeth,

Much like life in the White Tower, life at the Academy fell into a rhythm. Waking meant breakfast; Estel wondered if Maegan was giving the cook orders to get her back to a healthy weight, it seemed like her meals were impossibly huge for a single person. Progress was progress. Following lunch, she and Maegan would meet in the gardens to train. Considering the Red’s minimal ability with Healing, bruises covered Estel’s body. Every muscle hurt and she was pretty sure three or four of her fingers were broken. Since they’d only been at it a little over two weeks, there hadn’t been any noticeable changes in her physique; however, she did find herself snapping at fewe…

Dulcinea sighed as she realized that there really was no point in applying cosmetics today, as she was certain sweat them right off again in the next hour. Jaydena had said she would be a recruit, and that the training to be a Green would be hard. She had not been exaggerating by a hair. It was true what all the Aes Sedai had told her while she was still an Accepted: there was as much to learn after attaining the shawl as there was before. And she didn't even have her shawl yet! Growling a bit at her reflection, she pulled her unruly black mass of curls into a smeblance of a bun and secured it with a tied off flow of Air. Messy, but at least now it would stay in pla…

  30. Started by Jaydena,

Jaydena turned back to Rasheta as they walked through the doors and then spoke, "I think actually that we will go see your new quarters first, then we will tour the Ajah. That way you know where to go when we are finished." She nodded and then strode to the end of the quarters, her long legs eating up the space in front of her. The tiles her feet landed on where white with green borders and green handled swords inlaid on them. Along the white and green walls were tapestries and paintings of famous battles and Sisters of the Ajah. She stopped in front of a door and opened it, inside were several recruits who were bringing Rasheta's things in from her Accepted room. Jade mo…
