--reserved for plot updates-- The plotline for this RP is quite fluid and might take some unexpected turns, depending on who else joins. Anybody who's interested in taking part is welcome to contact me via the 'Black Tower DR RP Group' discussion forum. Roleplay Summary 'Reimond' is an Asha'man who has a near-death experience while away from the Black Tower, and consequently loses his memory of who he was and what he's capable of. By chance, he's discovered in Northern Andor by one of his former associates from the Black Tower. This RP explores his loss of identity, and sets the scene for his eventual re-integration into Black Tower society. BT Party 1:…

Hey Everyone! *waves* I'm Car'en, I'll be posting my bio soon, and I'm excited. I suppose I'm a returning member that fell off the boards awhile ago. I played from around 1999 until 2007-ish. I went by a different name, and was part of the Blue Ajah. I loved it here for so long, but slowly burned out. I am looking to start all over from scratch, and I look forward to it. Maybe, with some persuasion and permission (down the line), I could bring back my character, but that remains to be seen. Really, I just want to enjoy novicehood and being Accepted again. I loved it the first time, and look forward to it again. Anyways, I'll be quiet now. ;) Really, just…

Ooookay. Back story for Eb's looooong time away has been all fleshed out. Looks like she's been off 'babysitting' Mehrin on his various travels (unbeknownst to him, of course, and under Calder's orders) ever since he got banished for punching the Daughter of the Nine Moons and knocking her out. The official story was she'd been sent to make sure Mehrin never returned. The unofficial story is/was she was happy to comply, having had ulterior motives to make sure her old friend didn't do anything else particularly stupid, like get himself killed. Which of course, he is going to. In his last and upcoming rp. *cries* Eb will be involved in this, and the idea i…

Aureli had come into the classroom almost as soon as the last class had filed out. This class was always hard for her to teach, because of the gravity of the names. All these names represented a tragedy. But they also represented tragedies that could have been avoided. It usually took her a while to wrap her head around these names before she could write them on the board. She hoped none of her students would be as foolish as the people attached to these names. After a few minutes, though, she began to write them on the board, holding the sheet of paper with a small thread of Air in front of her eyes. She had memorized these names, but seeing them still helped her …

Aureli tried not to fuss about the room, but soon after she arrived, every bench and every desk was strictly aligned to be parallel with the back wall of the room. She'd taught this class before, but that didn't stop her from being a bit nervous. New students meant striking out on a new relationship with a new class. She remembered taking this exact class. It was where she met her very first friend in the White Tower, Narie. Narie hadn't made it to Accepted before she was put out of the Tower. She had come to the classroom half an hour early as she always did. Having one arm made everything harder, but not impossible. She walked to the door when she heard girls…

Weaves of fire, Heart of Stone The dining hall was nearly full when Ellisha finally decided to go down and have breakfast. A few Novices curtsied as she passed, but were only given the slightest gesture of acknowledgement from her. She wore her usual white dress today, the one with seven stripes of colour around the hem. With eyes of emerald green and hair an earthly brown, Ellisha Falwein - now a woman of thirty-four - glided through the centre of the main hall to where the other Accepteds sat eating. A few faces turned as she passed, evidently weary of her presence among them. Despite the best efforts by the Mistress of Novices to keep the news quiet, it seems…

Ok, so it's about time we did something about getting poor Jeral on the road to recovery after his um... encounter... with Eb in the forest. The beginnings of a thread are up here, and everybody, meet my newest char, medic Emrin Tallas! Sherp, I've kept the intro short and basic and open for you to rp Jeral's view/lack of lucidity as much as you like and for the others to post their initial reactions if desired. Basically, from a medic point of view, the plan will be plonk him down on a table, expose all of the wounds, examine and act fast. Let me know if you want me to switch it up and add more treatment or something to the first post before you start. ..…

This post is posted with permission from Jason. The First Age is a forum based play by post RPG, very similar to your's here at Dragonmount. Our Fearless Leader, Ascendancy wrote it best about our setting, so I'll just quote from our website, http://thefirstage.org Our world consistes of reborn gods, channelers just coming into their power, monsters of myth and legend. The world is a wonderful mix of modern and the Wheel of Time. The plot is generally guided by Ascendancy, but the characters with in help direct the way things go. It is a slightly different way of working than here at Dragonmount. We have no ranks, except those with in the governments, milit…

"May you live in interesting times." -Curse attributed to Ancient China After careful consideration, Mehrin had decided that boredom was wasted on the boring. He had been walking for quite some time without the company of anybody but his own mind- not always a pleasant traveling companion- and he had had plenty of time to reflect on it. A soldier's life was made up of long stretches of boredom interjected with flashing moments of excitement, and Mehrin had come to treasure each long minute of boredom, often spent sitting around a fire with the few friends that he had and sharing a bottle. Excitement, though, managed to remain in the memories of those at the fire; …

I have not been able to keep up with this stuff the last few weeks. In April I started all new courses, which meant a slag in my ability to concentrate here, then start of may until now I've been scouting for a job and been run off my feet doing this, working on 4-8 projects per week and midterm exams all last week. We only have 8 weeks to do 4 months worth of work, and it has taken all of my attention. That said I can no longer let myself slack around here and I feel horrible for letting it get this long. I'm back, and will be not quite full force but definately more into this than I should be.

Description The Bio Checkers (BC) are people that have a good understanding of what a character biography should look like. They know the specific requirements for members of the White Tower at all levels, and have a good understanding of the way the Retro and Main Timelines mesh in the White Tower RP Groups, as well as the overall rules and conditions that must be met to approve a biography of any White Tower character. They will work with the member to make sure their bio is ok before posting the approved bio on the biography board at the PSW. WT BC job description I am looking for a highly active and dedicated person for this position who has (or is willing to acqui…

The White Tower could be seen from very far away, glowing in the sunlight in the distance, as a central piece of the beautiful Tar Valon, and resting on a huge island connected to the mainland by a couple of bridges. As soon as Myrrhi had seen it, all the hardships of her journey had disappeared. She had never had the chance to go outside of Camelyn, she had never had the chance to travel far from her home. And now, there she was, happy and far from the boring life her mother had programed for her. True, she didn’t smell as good as before, she only owned the clothes she was wearing, there were holes in her boots and her back and feet were sore. But it was worth it, Myrrhi…

Kaelen Daltara had been staring at the white speck upriver for several hours, since it appeared this morning. Visible long before the rest of Tar Valon drew near, as the River Trout trudged its way upriver on the Erinin. The vessel was bearing a cargo full of wheat to Tar Valon, as well as a dozen fine Tairen carpets for the White Tower. Waiting for Southharbor to appear, he thought back through the events leading him here. Kaelen had joined the crew to pay his way to Tar Valon, and he had been lucky to find a vessel in need of an extra hand at Aringill. When Kaelen had finished the journey to the river town after recovering from the Healing, he hadn’t the coin left t…

Just a heads up, there is a really bad storm expected to hit where I live all day tomorrow and the next day. I may lose power for a while (couple days or whatever). If people are looking for me and I'm not around, this is likely why. I'll let you all know when the storm passes.

Edana stared out the window of the tavern, her fingers tracing idle patterns on the glass in front of her. She was bored. She and a few other Tower Guards had escorted an Aes Sedai into Cairhien three days ago for some diplomatic whatever and the woman had promptly dismissed them as soon as they'd arrived at the Palace gates. Naturally, dismissed was a loose term, since it didn't mean they could actually return to the Tower and their duties there. No, they'd been ordered to sit and wait. Ed gritted her teeth, annoyed at not having a purpose outside of being the woman's lap dog to come when she called. She'd spent two days getting the lay of the land here in Cairhien,…

Roudal stood looking out the window of his office. It was a beautiful day and the sun shined on the Fortress of Light. Roudal smiled at that. The Light always shone brightly on the Children. Roudal.turned and sat down at his desk, opening a ledger to start his work for the day. He pulled.out an inkwell and pen and began to get to work. He worked steadily and silently in his normal fashion and soon after starting he heard the approach of new recruits. Their approach was always the same - loud - and Roudal had never gotten used to the noise. Most recruits were younger men and in their travels to the Fortress had become friends. They lacked the discipline of trained …
