Alrighty then! It appears I have been granted approval to have some fun with a character I just made.. Lots of butterflies in my tummy as this is the first time I've ever considerd doing RP xP WAIT, no not butterflies. Rocks, sharppointybigrocks, in my belly *Flex* So, I was thinking on doing some kind of "solo" RP as it seems to be a good way to get started (better in depth explanation of Hagnar's story) BUUURUURUTUTUTUHUHUT!!! Before you put on your boots and gallop away from here, I would like to add something. I like surprises. Which means planing out a entire story and following it through doesn't really appeal to me a whole lot. So what I'm proposing is tha…

So, I know it sounds odd, but can you imagine roleplaying a literal game of fruit ninja? Besides, I want to get Arinth, Arkin and Yriel into a single RP. Here's a vague outline:-The three of them are walking back from training and find an abandoned basket of fruit (any ideas for a less conspicuous opening would be welcome) Arkin decides with his usual enthusiasm that it would be fun to chop it all up, practicing his knife throwng skills. Arinth then challenges him to slice the fruit from a greater distance. It actually turns out to be qutie difficult-a challenge of hand-eye coordination and depth perception. All three try it and decide it should be part of the train…

As Jace entered the woods he began to slow down. He had been running since he left the tavern in Cairhein and it was nightfall as he entered the woods. Running might get him to the wolves faster, but thought it would be better if he went to them in a calm manner. I must be going insane. I'm actively seeking wolves. Jace thought. Regardless of his thoughts, Jace was still convinced that the answers that he was seeking would be found with the wolves. He heard a wolf howl to the moon coming from the south and continued to move in that direction. His enhanced senses helped him see in the dark and he was able to make it though the woods without tripping over roots.…

Hallia followed the Accepted through the maze of corridors after leaving office of the Mistress of Novices. This place is huge! I hope I don’t lost too many times before I find my way here. As they rounded a corner they came to a hallway with several Novices going in and out of doors that lined both sides. The Accepted stopped at one of these doors and opened it, ushering Hallia inside a room with two beds. “This is to be your room. When another Novice enters the Tower they will room with you. Until then, welcome to the Tower and good luck” With a smile the young woman departed, leaving Hallia alone with her thoughts. Hallia turned to regard the room, contempl…

Fanten suppressed a sigh as the Dedicated delivered his message. He thanked the lad and dismissed him. Getting to his feet he set aside the metal he had been shaping with the power. He had never learned blacksmithing, but shaping something with the power was much like shaping men. He wove air and brought his sword across the room to him, buckling it on as he walked to the traveling grounds, still holding Saidin. He wove, and tore a hole in the air. He looked around sternly as he entered the training grounds on the other side. Almost immediately he found his trainee, dark brown hair looking no worse for the wind. The man looked a bit disheveled but Fanten forgave him that.…

Hey all! ;D I am going to be doing an RP where Rahien sets about completing a home for himself and wanted others to join in. Here are the key factors that i need your opinions on however: A.) Rhaien has been alone for a good part of his childhood, living by himself in the woods and feeling shunned by his family. This has obviously left deep emotional scars and makes it hard for him to be social and to trust/open up to others. B.) He has developed a bond most recently with Snow (wolf companion) and Rhya (the one to pick him up and bring him "home") The fact that he has opened up to this degree (by way of his emotional state) is phenomenal. It also has …

Fanten sat on his cot and sighed. He scrubbed a hand through his hair and over his face. He had been here much longer than he would have liked when his journey first began, but over time he had made friends with an Asha'man named Tai'Dashan who had convinced him that this was a far more worthy cause then simply finding the horn. Tai had shown him Saidin and how to use it and had been a friend of sorts thus far. He had in fact, asked if He could train on of the new Soldiers now that he was a Dedicated. The pin at his throat was not even a week old. Grunting, he stood. No use wasting time. He had rank here and so needed to show confidence as well as competence. Glanci…

Ok, you have questions, we have answers! I will try to cover some of the more frequently asked questions here, but if you don't see your question here, please reply below to ask! Can women be in the Children? Yes, they can! While we don't see any female children on screen in the series, we are non-discriminatory here in the RP, and believe in woman power! You can be a tinker, tailor, soldier OR spy in the Children! Can Children marry? Yes, Children of the Light can marry AND have a family. Just look at Geofram Bornhald and his son in the series for an example of multiple generations in the Children. Are all Children evil? Nah, only like 75% of us. :…

Topic pretty much says it all. Why did you create your characters the way you did (traits and personality-wise)? What long-term goals do your characters have, and what long-term goals do you have for your characters?

Eoghann sat in the saddle upon his stout, shaggy Arafellan steed, guiding it in a steady amble, a peculiar brisk walk it could sustain for hours without tiring. Other than the wind howling in the mountains towering around him and the snapping of pine branches high above, a vicious, echoing sound heralding a violent cold gust that did not reach into the gully he was traveling in, there was no noise but the resonant sound of his horse’s hooves against rocky soil, and the jingling the bells made in his red braids with every one of the beast’s steps, forming a peculiar music with the clopping beat. Even though there was no sound of other living creatures other than the tortur…

Wonder. That is what Hallia felt as Tar Valon coalesced in her field of view. As the party rode closer, the details of the buildings became clear. It was so beautiful, especially compared to the starkness of the borderland towns and villages she was more familiar with. Approaching from the North, they started over one of the many bridges connecting the island with the rest of the surrounding land. The intricacy with which the bridge was constructed was awe-inspiring. Continuing down the streets of Tar Valon, Hallia could hardly tear her eyes from some of the buildings. They’re amazing, so realistic! With a pang of sorrow, she wished her mother could be there w…

Kira didn't know what to expect when she arrived at Tar Valon, but she didn't expect it to be so...amazing. While walking through the city, Kira tried to keep her mouth from hanging open. Coming from Ebou Dar, she was used to large cities, but this one seemed different. Maybe it was because the city was new, or maybe it was the massive structure in front of her - the White Tower. It dwarfed the Tarasin Palace. As she approached, she glanced at the Aes Sedai next to her. Her name was Elsia Sedai of the Blue Ajah. She had brought Kira to Tar Valon with her to begin training. The Aes Sedai had a smile on her face. She looked as if she was returning home. Kira thoug…

Kyle listened as his instructor finished the first basic training session that Kyle attended at the Fortress of Light. Kyle had tried to pay attention as much as he could, but his thoughts kept drifting elsewhere. Only the day before had he arrived at the Fortress to begin his training with the Children of the Light. It was amazing how much things had changed for Kyle. He had a home and warm meals three times a day. He still had not gotten used to seeing himself with more bulk. He had gained a significant amount of weight while traveling from Four Kings to Amador and he was still not used to feeling clean. In the next hour though, his life would change even more…

Gianna walked up the stairs into the White Tower, doing her best not to stumble. The great wooden doors were opened wide, and petitioners were passing in and out in a steady flow. She noticed that she was attracting stares as she was passing; a Novice almost dropped the papers she was carrying before she remembered herself and made a curtsy to Gianna with a squeak. Gianna shook her head and continued to walk deeper into the Tower. She was passing other Aes Sedai occasionally now, but none of them made to stop and talk with her. She knew she must look a mess; her hair had fallen haphazardly from where she'd pinned it up this morning, and she was caked in mud from head …

Hi all, Most of you probably won't remember me, but hopefully someone will. I was an Asha'man and even a Storm Leader once for a while but then real life kinda got in the way. Anyhoo I guess I just finished reading AMOL and got a bit nostalgic for the good old BT. It seems pretty quiet on the board but I hope there is still stuff going on. Peace, Andar

Hey guys, please reply if you are active in the month of February. If you participate in any RPs this month with your Child characters please post links to them here (come back and edit your post if you start new ones, so I have a full list for my report to the Admins in March). Also, I'd like to start planning our first "Mission" campaign, so if you have any ideas on a mission we can undertake as a group, share it!

Arath felt drained. Tar Valon seemed to have that effect on him. Or more precisely, the inhabitants of the White Tower had that effect on him. Zarinen alone could be exhausting to deal with, but ever since the other ajah's had caught wind of the 'arrangement' his days had been mercilessly busy. Aes Sedai were viciously curious creatures. The Black Tower hadn't changed too much in the time that he had been away. Work on the walls continued of course, and a number of new structures dotted the town. A new Soldier barracks was nearing completion, and the stables that had been destroyed in the battle with Brent had been rebuilt. But it was familiar. A good place t…

Guion moved about the dungeon, straightening things that didn't need straightened, waiting for his student to arrive. It had been a while since he had taught an Interrogation class, and this was to be only one student. He was disappointed in how few Children chose the path of the Hand of the Light these days. Sweat dripped down his brow, and he absentmindedly wiped it away with his nearly soaked handkerchief. It was cool down here in the dungeons, but that didn't really matter to Guion; he always seemed to be plague by sweat dripping down his brow. People said it was his nervous energy; he was always in motion and never seemed to relax. He knew little of the Child…
