  1. That hasn't gone as he'd thought it would. The anxiety built up as he walked to his house. His breathing was rapid and his heart was beating into his chest. Nox wasn't sure this was a great idea. But it was the only one he had. Merdyn would be by. Maybe. He hoped. The paranoia played out in his head, all the bad things that would happen. He could see them playing out in his mind. He hated the paranoia. Hated the anxiety. Hated feeling worthless. Nox opened the door to his house and he waved his hand all the candle lights lit. It wasn't a romantic scene he was setting thought it was an interesting scenario that Nox tried to focus on as he sat down o…

  2. Merdyn exhaled deeply. This day had been coming for a very long time now and there just was no way around it. Memories of his first days at the Farm came rushing back in a flood of memories. The happiest ones involving his friend, Ful, and his teacher, Nox. They were the only people that had mattered around here, as far as Merdyn was concerned. That should have made all of this easier, he had sparred with Ful before. There hadn’t really been a winner in that instance, however. More of a draw. Merdyn was hoping for a repeat of that day. Nox wouldn’t be easily tricked, so Merdyn wouldn’t be using any Illusion clones on him… at least he wasn’t planning on it. …

  3. Started by Lih-Lyh,

Ful Haert jogged up the curve of the parched field to join the men at the traveling grounds. There was a general bustle of activity coming from the neighboring hill where gateways were practiced or set up for use: the distant clatter of weapons and armor, conversations, a very occasional “bang!” Ful, the young dedicated assigned to procure supplies out in the city, saluted the senior members as he approached the group of onlookers. He looked down at his fellow dedicated in the field, the asha’aman standing over them at the far edge of the field, watching them diligently. “What’s he doing?” he shot a sour look in the direction of the newly withered…

  4. It was early in the morning, the sun was barely up when Nox had groaned the first time. Adrim shifted in the chair he'd fallen asleep in. His body ached. He'd had the boys take Nox to his house. Nox would be more comfortable in his own house. He'd freak out less when he finally woke up. But Adrim wasn't about to let the boy be alone after nearly dying. There were already rumors. What was another? "Why didn't you sleep here?" Nox asked waking Adrim from his drowsy slumber. He blinked at the other man who was trying to sit up. "I didn't think it was appropriate." Nox gave Adrim a shy smile. "People already think you and I are…

  5. Started by The Don,

The plains of the ruined kingdom of Arafel provided a perfect location to build and train an army. There was plenty of open space, grass for horses, and what people remained would not come near the army that Dagan al'Kar commanded. If they knew a tenth of what this army was, they would likely soil themselves and run to the wilderness to live what pathetic remainder of their lives remained. He waited impatiently under the largest of the banners in the camp. The banner itself was dyed red with the blood of the villagers that had once called this area home, those that refused his offer to join him anyway. Some chose the wiser course and travelled with the army, supporti…

  6. Viviane fidgeted in her seat. Today she was to learn what it meant to be Red Ajah. Jagen Sedai had not yet arrived to the classroom, so Viviane had little reserve in exhibiting her anxiousness. She’d have to bottle it up soon enough. Right when those doors swung open, the mock Aes Sedai serenity would slide over Viv’s face, as best as she could manage. The Reds made her nervous. They made every girl nervous… Well, not every girl. There were certainly a few Novices and Accepted that Viviane had encountered, girls that aspired to be Red above all else. People often said that Blues were passionate, but Viviane found the same was true for the Reds.…

  7. Aiden missed the country. He always said that whenever he took students out for Survival training. His mother had taught him how to survive in the woods, and in a city for that matter. It had been an interesting experience, especially as Aiden got older and his mother left him for longer and longer periods of time. This was some of the best parts of teaching trainees. Outside of the barracks Aiden waited for his classic class. They had been instructed to get up and bring their gear for a few days out in the woods. It was their job to bring whatever they could carry that would be useful on the trip. Aiden had set aside a day's hike from the city, and thr…

Do I still send them to bios@dragonmout? I saw the post about bios but its dated to 2010, so I wanted to make sure. I have a couple I want to get out there to start with, 2 for the CotS, 1 for the Band, and 1 for the Seanchan. They are all returning characters (Dagan al'Kar, Kjasic, Jaem Caran, and Muaghde).

  10. At his day’s end, Ful sniffed out the tavern where Merdyn would be found. This was it. He stopped and looked at the tavern. Built into the basement level of a shabby building, there was a steep set of steps running down from street level to the scratched, nondescript door. The tavern looked closed but he could clearly hear the noises from within. Though it was still early, the place was already dismal and littered with loud men and broken furniture. Some black tower men drank their nights away, boasting and carousing. Workers were sweeping up debris of smashed glasses - already filled two sacks. The owner was furiously scrubbing his walls with a brush dipped i…

OOC: For Aubriana & Ravenhild. @Arie @Chaelca. ~*~*~*~*~ Jagen Halin strode down the curving stairs from the Red Ajah quarters, watching the tiles go from red-and-white at the top to green-and-gray at the bottom As she walked down the wide hall and turned into another corridor, those tiles became yellow-and-brown. It was an eye sore in her opinion, but thankfully by the time she reached her destination, near the novices’ quarters and one level below the Amyrlin’s study, on a wide hallway where the floor tiles were red and green and the runner blue. Here was the Mistress of Novices' office, and Jagen gave a knock and stepped inside. Valeri wasn'…

  12. Ashley Wilkes, dressed in civilian clothing, was sitting on a stone bench at the end of the path near the stables. He was leaning back with his legs stretched out and crossed, reading a dog-eared old text. After a moment, he turned to watch the men on the far side of the square doing jumps with weights on. He put the text down on the bench beside him and stretched his arms. This book was cheerfully borrowed from Aiden, one of his mentor’s recommendations. But either he was very stupid, or he just didn’t get it. Poems. Long, old poems. Bad old poetry, a bench in the sunlight, all in his own time. His way of escaping what he hated about his life here in the yar…

Madoc stood there listening to the instructions he was being given by the Wise One, and was having a hard time comprehending those instructions for two reasons. The first was an easy reason, they didn't make sense, this was a job for a Seai Doon, or maybe a Tain Shari, and he didn't see how a Stone Dog would do as well as either of them in it. But, what could you do? When a Wise One bid you do something, you just did it. The second reason he was having trouble concentrating was more troubling, that was because the Wise One who was giving him the instruction; Mordre was always distracting to him on some level, and she was more so when she was trying so very hard to be seri…

  14. Heart racing, Edana rolled out of the way of the blade falling towards her head. She lifted her sword defensively to block the kill-shot to her skull, the hard stone floor bruising her knees as she scrambled for enough room to find her feet again. Something caught on her foot, and she tugged on it to pull it free, only to feel it tightly wrapped in whatever had caught it. She growled in frustration, unable to look away to see the cause as her attacker, a tall, dark haired swordsman with no small amount of skill, started swinging at her, again. She parried them all away, by the end, swatting at the sword to unbalance it as fatigued pulled at her arms. He hacked down on her…

  15. Ful’s shiny pin was displayed between the third button of his field jacket and the stud of the right hand breast pocket. He was short but lean, with long dark hair that he kept pinned back into a bun, and a slender, sharp nosed face framing knowing dark eyes and a refreshing smile. His promotion to dedicated, and the responsibilities that came with it, was never going to be an easy ride. Ful took his lessons seriously, and had been promoted on Nox’s advice. The two sides of himself - saidin and the void - had taken a long time to gel, but now they seemed to be pulling together as one fluid unit and for that Ful was grateful. He appreciated that his skills impr…

  16. Well, that was an… interesting class. Viviane dusted off her Accepted’s dress, soot dancing in the air. For the last eleven days, she and a few of the other Accepted had been learning how to Link from Lavinya Sedai. It was a weave that all Sisters had to learn. Lavinya Sedai had driven that point home with a pointed finger for each word. Every girl in the room knew how serious this class was. They would not dare dream for the shawl if they could not Link at a moments notice. It could mean the difference between life and death for any Aes Sedai and those around her. Today had been the twelfth day of the Lesson and fin…

Hello all. It's been a long time, but I've gotten the itch to do some writing again. I want to start a new character, but I also have some old ones I can dust off if necessary, including a main character, if someone else hasn't taken over Slayer. Anywho... I'll be around, checking old boards and new rules, and deciding what kind of character I want to create.

Welcome back, folks. Not quite such a long shut down this time thankfully. Hopefully we haven't lost anyone due to the lack of access. Definitely unavoidable though. Tech problems with the server for anyone who missed the Facebook updates from Jason. Did you all survive without the forums? What have you been up to meantime? How is everyone? It actually happened at a very convenient moment for me as I've been super busy with work. Hoping to get some writing time this weekend. If anyone's having any problems since the boards came back up, don't forget to post on the Bugs board or let me know.

  19. Started by Leala,

So, the Blues have posted their outline for an Ajah class. That was a new one for me, but after reading over it, I thought it looked very objective and cool. Basically, an Ajah class would be for Accepted to take to learn about an Ajah in more detail. There is no pressure to join the Ajah. It's really more to get to know you a little better, and what role you would fill in the Tower, and really, if you would fit in with the Ajah sisters at all. So, I invite you to create your own. I think these are really handy, especially for Accepted (like mine) that are a bit confused as to where they should go.

  20. Started by Matalina,

Aiden had been writing Taylor on and off since he left the Ranch. They had been close. He had a crush on Kate, but Kate was oblivious. Kate was going to be Aes Sedai so he had moved on. Gotten married and was starting his own family. He had number 3 on the way. Taylor wanted a big family. But then to run a Ranch it was kinda a prerequisite. His father had liked men, so their family was small. But it didn't matter, they had cousins working the Ranch too. Taylor was excited that Aiden had made Tower Guard. He always wanted to be a swordsman but he wasn't very good at it, despite the same training as him. But that was alright, Taylor had a brain and he…

  21. It just wasn’t fair. Viviane had not been in the Tower for more than a few months at most, yet she had already made an enemy. It was silly, really. She didn’t even know her ‘enemy’s’ name. Some poor Accepted had misconstrued a supposed relationship between Ravenhild and herself. In this Accepted’s eyes, Ravenhild and Viviane had apparently started some conspiracy to get the Accepted kicked out of the Tower! P’shaw! That was utter folly. Viviane didn’t even know the girl’s name, much less have the urge to conspire against her. The life of a Novice was a stressful one, Viviane didn’t even have the time to mess with thi…

  22. The night had been long, or it had felt like it. But it had also given Corin a great deal of time to think and make some decisions. A few of which he did not like the answers even though he knew there was little in the way of options open to him. Some he was not sure he ever would accept again; no matter how much faith she had in him. He still did not understand or comprehend how a person could control another’s dream or what this dream world that Lavinya had spoken of was. But he did know the fear that was on her face and in her voice. A very real and petrifying fear that had gripped her like he had never seen before. How he was suppose to fight and protect her against s…

  23. Viviane threw open the door to her room in the Accepted’s Quarters, strode in, and closed the wooden door as silently as possible. The action was a stark contrast to what she was feeling at that moment. Without any hesitation, she opened herself to Saidar and embraced the One Power. Deftly weaving a trick called The Circle of Silence. She encased the entire room within her ward, and after tying it off, Viviane let out a blood-curdling scream and then fell to the floor. No one outside her room would hear the cries that now escaped her lips in ragged sobs. Saidar quickly retreated from her grasp. It had been exactly one month since Viviane had be…

  24. Edit: How can I keep my fragmented self together when all around me are the falling debris of dead dreams? Post what you've been up to for the month before our journey then we'll be off. :) A strange period began for Saline: it was as though all the world's dreariness had fallen upon her and wrapped her in a fogged solitude from which there was no escape. Sometimes, finding herself in a remote part of the city, in some forgotten inn, sitting alone with only her thoughts for company, hardly knowing how she'd come there, she thought suddenly of Rory, formerly her best friend and lover. She realised suddenly, fully, and with dismay that she ought to at once come to an u…

Once you all have access again, active RP'ers should sign in here. --------------------------------------- Update: We're continuing with the overhaul of the PSW that we began last year with the aim of simplifying things. The OOC boards are now combined into 3 distinct sections to make it easier to manage them. There are updates and changes being made to usergroups. Changes will be coming to the way the RP works now we have a much smaller member base. This will effect Biography submission, in character RP requirements and character ranking. We will of course let you know as soon as final decisions are made. This isn't an overnight …

Guidelines and Requirement Rules for ACCEPTED Guidelines for Novices & Accepted • A. Emulation. Initiates do their very best to emulate Aes Sedai; you act as much according to the above principles as possible. Follow the above rules unless you have a compelling reason not to. • B. Free Time & Chores. Novices have one free day every two weeks, a week being ten days long, and they will also be subjected to chores. Accepted can guide their own studies to a greater extent. All initiates will be working hard. Your days are full; between classes you have chores. You will collapse into bed exhausted every evening, rise still worn out, and thank your lucky st…

  28. Ten solid years to the day. That was how long Viviane Accylon had been in the White Tower. She herself could not really believe it had been so long. Viviane had learned much and met a lot of people in that time. She had even made a few friends along the way. Her 28th nameday had passed about a month ago. Mother had sent another dress. It was breathtaking; made entirely out of imported silks from Sharra, all in shades of Blue, opalescent pearl buttons ran down the back, and a stiff boning was inserted to the bodice to cut a more slender figure. Viviane was not allowed to wear the gown, not yet. She was still a Novice. …

It is late. Raven should be sleeping by now. Yuki came to her room an hour ago to take her candle away. "You have to sleep," she told her. "There's a curfew, you know that!" Indeed, Raven knew there's curfew. The Mistress of the Novices told her about it. Amalexia had told her about it... everyone had told her about it. But, she didn't care. Back home, her father allowed her to stay up as long as she wanted. It would have been hard for him to do otherwise. He was rarely home at night. As Captain of the City Guards, he had to be with his men, especially for the hardest shifts. Raven feels tears coming to her eyes. It is so unfair. Why was she sent to the White…

  30. Having breakfasted on mashed eggs with tough, toasted pieces of baked bread, Ful smiled appreciatively at his start of day. This morning, he knew he was being tested. This was responsibility and he better not mess it up. It was his moment to prove to his newly assigned mentor Nox that he had the makings of greatness. Ful was an intense, quiet young man; his dearest ambition was to become an asha’aman since months ago when he first enrolled. Attack leader, a veritable giant in stature and rank Baijan’m'hael Isha Talcontar had personally selected Ful to join his household as his student, and in the first few months had become almost a father to Ful. A stern, cr…
