Yup, I'm the newest of the new atm...I am a nublet =) Started reading WoT roughly 4-5 years ago, introduced to them by a friend of mine in the military, now own all 11 books + New Spring, have read the series through several times, can't wait for book 12. Anyways, I love discussion so you'll probably start to see me in the General Forums ;)

I was glad to find this site and realize I'm not the only fan out there. I recently discovered the books and although life is hectic I've managed to get well into book 4 in no time at all. I know I have a ways to go, but I look forward to it. I was looking for people in the Baltimore area and curious to know what people are up to. Hope everyone is doing and well and thanks for having me here.

Hello everyone, from first glance at these forums they look pretty awsome. Looks like a bunch of nice people call this place home. Im sad to say it took to see Robert Jordan's section in Borders as "In memory of" to come on here and say Hi. I wish I wouldve not been lazy and done while he was still with us so I could tell him about what an amazing writer he is. well anyway heres my WOT story. nothing special realy my friend described the books as a series where "every thousand years these heroes are reborn" I thought that was pretty cool sounding .So I checked them out, and I soon came to find out it was a WHOLE lot more. Im 17, so lucky for me when I joined the WOT legio…

Hi all, My name is David B. Coe and I'm a fantasy author. I've written nine fantasies to date (all for Tor Books), comprising the LonTobyn Chronicle, Winds of the Forelands, and my newest series, Blood of the Southlands. I was invited here by "SamVimes" and I expect that I'll be spending most of my time at the Illuminators Org board. I'm very glad to be here, and I look forward to getting to know the Dragonmount Community. Best, David

Hello everyone, I'm Dorsbane, a sophomore at Central Michigan University. I used to be an avid RPer- I think that I had two characters with the Warders and was applying to the Ash'men when I decided that real life and internet life were becoming too in twined and had to take time get acclimated to college life. Now I'm back and just looking for some fun people to write with so that I can continue to polish my writing style and maybe bounce around some ideas both about the WoT and just about writings in general. So I guess things have changed a good deal in the two years that I was gone? Like I can't find my Warders anymore and feel fairly lost without their cynicism

Hi, I've poped in from time to time, to catch up on all the goings on, but in honor of Robert Jordan.. and that the last book might soon come out and this series which I have been reading for more than half my life might be ending, I felt it was time to take a stand and register! I have read the series countless times now.. I am one of those people who if I pick up a book a can't put it down.. so getting new books is very dangerous for me. So instead whenever its a rainy day and I have some free time I randomly pick a WoT book and pick a random page and just start reading.. usually keep reading till I get to the end of the series.. and I always find something NEW! …

I began reading WoT way back when it first came out - then I got sidetracked by life, and never made it past the 3rd book. I am now reading them again & continuing on past that point! It seems like a great forum in here, really looking forward to getting to know you all.

Greetings everyone! I was lured (tricked, infact!*grins*) into reading WoT by a friend while playing on a World of warcraft rp server. When he stated,"Wheel of Time is on the same scale as LoTR, just times 8", I was abit skeptical, but after having read most of the released books, I see he might have had a point ;) I have grown very fond of the world and characters James created, as I'm sure many here on the forums are, and I cannot wait to read the last 3 books (excluding the 12th). I only just learned of James passing and was quite shocked. I only knew him through his written work (if one can put it so), but I mourn his passing all the same. Sincerely,…

Greetings all. It's nice to finally get around to joining up after having lurked for a long time (as I see a lot of others have). Now, as to what Org to join.....hmmm! Hope to see you all around, and hopefully Dragonmount can satiate my hunger for all things WoT until the last book comes out!

Hello All, I've actually lurked on this site more than a few times, but finally decided I should sign up. I never know what to say in hello posts, and it's been a while since I had too! Let's see, a little about me. I'm a major WoT fan and have corrupted at least three people to the series. Still working on a few others. I write as a hobby and am a ML for the yearly nanowrimo in the Dayton, Oh area. Over the last few years I've also gotten into costuming (actually, I was dragged kicking and screaming into it, but have found I really like it). I'm lucky enough to have several friends in that arena now and we are ever expanding our knowledge. We've just emb…

Nice to meet you all, really it is. I'm quite terrible at these sorts of posts. I could either be abrupt and say little at all, or ramble and seem like a partial, if not complete, lunatic. I only recently found out about Robert Jordan's passing, and I am still quite saddened by the news. It was a shock really, but that is what I get for staying in my bubble. I am into reading (....quite obviously :P ), writing, digital art, role-playing. I am a message board addict, and seem to join more of them than I can remember px for! These forums are very interesting, and I'm looking forward to reading the series. I've only read Eye of the World, the Dragon Rebo…

It seems strange that this is the first time that I have posted here. I started to read the WOT when the books first came out. I was in highschool, and I believe the year was either 1990-1, I'm not sure. Originally I picked up the hefty book because I was doing a highschool art project that required to exact images from a novel and do illustrations. I thought that a book of the size of "The Eye of the World" Probably would have descriptions somewhere in it. So I began to read the book. I don't believe I ever finished the project, I ended up reading the book instead. After I had finished that book, I had a small local BBS, just me, which paid homage to the nam…

I have been reading the books for a few years now, but have only just found this site. Thought I would register and say Hi instead of lurking for a change! I haven't read book 11 yet though, so it looks like I'm going to have to be careful of what topics I read! :) Looking forward to getting to know the site and the people here. The Light illumine you.

Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum, however, I've RPed on quite a few forums before, however most of those use Proboards, so it will take me a while to figure out how to work everything here. Though I'm sure I'll be fine. I intend to be active on this forum seeing as I'm a huge fan of WoT, though I've only just finished the books myself. I'm currently reading the "DRAGONMOUNT FORUM INFO" which seems to explain a lot. Hopefully any questions I have will be answered there, but if not, I'll post them here :) Kirjava
