Introduce Yourself

Hi everyone! I'm new here, but not to Wheel of Time. It's been a while since I've read the books though, so I'm reading through them again. I've never looked for a WOT community before though, but I'm glad I did. I think I'll like it here ~smiles~

The name's Kison, I guess. Well, that's just my current internet alias that I tend to use these days. I'm sure in the coming years that'll change just like it has before. Real name can vary between: Michael, Mike, Malfoy, Slinky, Loud Guy, Quiet Guy, Obnoxious Guy, Loserface(that's a new one). Many others that probably should not be posted here. I'm a computer nerd at heart, though if you met me you'd probably never figure that out. Taught myself to program at too young of an age. Have read every Wheel of Time book. Mat Cauthon is my hero. Hey all you WoT fans! Im new to the site. I started reading the series a few years ago. After I read Knife of Dreams, I set them aside for a while. I've just recently picked them back up and I'm reading through the series for a second time. I kinda stumbled on this site looking for news on RJ's health, and news on the 12th book. Jordan's blog on here is amazing, I havent heard anything of his progress since the TOR website made the announcement that he was ill. Other than the WoT, some other interests of mine are guitar/drums, Counter Strike, and World of Warcraft.

So... I'm new to DM! :) And I'm hoping to get to know all of ya! So! Where do we start?

Just joined living in Huntsville, AL and been reading WOT for 5-7 years now. Found this site researching the next novel. Very sorry to discover Robert's condition, but was greatfull to see him recovering. Will try to find time to visit and learn what all is here. Looks great so far. My first impresstion was that I had jumped to pond based on the variety of 'organisations' listed under ORGS. The other 'organizations' really made me stumble. I do love the international scope and breath of the forum...I'll just have to check the poster's location to get the spellings correct. Greetings to all.

Hi, I'm new, and I want to introduce myself to everyone. :D I started reading TWOT right after the 9th book came out, so it's been a few years already of waiting for the end of the story. I used to read those books practically everyday. But over the years it never occurred to me to look online and see what the other fans are talking about. But then one day I was going through iTunes, and found the 4th Age Podcast, and now a couple months later, here I am writing my first post here. Anyways, whatever. Pleased to be here! :D

In any case, I'm gonna give you a story, just a short one, one that explains my my name. Barmacral = Barm, Barmy, Drunk Fish, Noob, whatever other names there are out there. Where'd it come from? Bar-Macral Bar: This I got from Guy Gavriel Kay's book Tigana. A man's name would have Bar in it just before his fathers name, and a woman's name would have Bren. But I'm also an attorney, so I'm currently working to mesh all of my interests into something worthy of a lifetime career. Hey there new guys and gals. If ever you've got some free time and you're on the boards, we run a regular game on Fiddlesticks that's pretty fun, and not nearly as lame as it sounds. It's a Werewolf game. Basically, the players are villagers in a town that's plagued by werewolf attacks. The object of the game is to catch the werewolves before all the villagers are eaten. There are public hangings, mutilations, explosive humans, all sorts of good stuff. So, any of you folks who are into the roleplaying stuff, or who just have some time to kill, come on over, you'll find the sign-up thread in Fiddlesticks. Take 'er easy!

I'm new (obviously right?) I've tried to join a couple times over the last few years.. I recently got turned on to The Wheel of Time novels by a friend at work (who I didn't expect to read fantasy .... but goes to show!)... Anyhow, I've read through the 11 core books over the last couple months, and once I catch up on my other fiction I'll be re-reading them, what an amazing universe.
