I'm new to this forum, although I've been a regular at WoT-DM@yahoogroups.com. I've read all the WoT books and the New Spring prequel several times, and I was a subscriber to the New Spring graphic novel. I hope that RJ pulls through his health crisis. His bravery in the face of this disease certainly puts into perspective any worries about whether or not he can tie up the major loose ends in WoT.

I just started rereading the books, and I started remembering the old WOT discussion/RP sites I used to frequent, and then I noticed that the white tower, grey tower/paaran disen, black tower, and raina's hold, with only wotmania surviving. I despise the wotmania forum format, but was looking around that site when I heard mention of Dragonmount, the site that had always seemed to be down or didn't like my internet connection or computer. It worked, and so I find myself here. Awesome.

I am finally going to link my two favorite things. I have loved to WOT books since I started reading them with the first book over 12 years ago. I am in my third reading of the entire series up to book ten, almost done Great Hunt. I have not read the most recent yet! My second hobby is comp. and that of course includes the internet. This is the first time I did a little research online about my favorite author and of course found your site. Hope to be around as much as possible... I really did not know there were that many people out there that apreciate this series as much as myself.. looking forward to meeting you. PS. Great Site

If I weren't new, I wouldn't be posting here... at least not at new thread. I have been reading WOT for a while (to me, and only because it took me 4 years to get through "Winter's Heart" while I was in school - dedicated student or something) and was looking for something only to stumble across this. Of course while anxiously awaiting "Knife of Dreams". blah, blah, blah  Read a couple noob posts so I think I am looking forward to hanging out. I will mill around and see if I can get my question answered without asking - otherwise I will ask. Pleasure to be here. Hope to hear from you soon. susie

Greetings WoT travellers. I am an avid fan of the WoT series (some might say rabid), and have finally stumbled onto a web site that houses others like me (stumbled i say, because i have never actually sought out a WoT web site, the books are very personal to me and sharing personally important things with strangers seems odd)but i went looking for some news on the series and discovered that RJ had gotten sick and that there was a site that had his personal feelings on it and i figured, hey if he can share with strangers then so can I. Anyway greetings to you all and see you in the funny pages.

I'm new here....man I hate saying that haha I'm pretty used to everything that's going on around here from being on the sites: Realm of Tar Valon and Rebuilding the towers. I shouldn't be much of a hinderance.

Hi everyone. Hopefully you are all well. Ive been surfin this site the past couple of days and thought i'd finally register. ... Feel free to call me FF annnnnd as for the basics...Ive never ACTUALLY finished reading LOTR, I know its sad but I just find myself putting it down for months at a time :\ (I WILL finish it though, I promise!). So when I got the EoTw from my buddy a couple years ago it just kind of laid around the house. I just thought that it would be some dry material.... Finally last sept I picked it up and ended up reading the series in a couple of months and i've gotta say its definately gotten me into reading again, im hooooked and ive yet to find …

Hello, everyone. 'Tis Lalaine. Thought I'd ramble a bit about myself here. :) I started reading WoT in sixth grade, finished by the end of the year, and then nearly forgot everything. So this year, as a rising freshman, I'm rereading all of the books to refresh my memory. I have read The Eye of the World, The Great Hunt, and New Spring. There are three characters in the books that I really really like; Moiraine, Lanfear, and Birgitte. :) My name isn't Lalaine in real life, but my real name is so plain I could cry. (not really.) I live in the US with my kitty and my family. Although I am most fluent in English, my heritage is of China. Additionally, I play …

Hello ladies and gentlmen. I'm Semilucid, that's my name and a statement of fact. I'm on my 3rd re-read of the series. In my opinion, the highlight of series is pretty anything to do with Mat after the 3rd book. And especially anything to do with Mat and Tylin. *nudge nudge wink wink* I look forward to getting to know you all. This is a fantastic looking site and there seems to be a great community of people.

Hey all, Just thought that I'd stop in and introduce myself quickly. My name is Chris. I'm 27 and a Spanish teacher in Brooklyn. I've been reading TWOT since I was 14 or 15, and I thought that I'd join a forum to present my own ideas. Well who knows, maybe someone else has posted them, and I just haven't seen it yet. Best, Chris

Hey everyone! How's it going? It's been a LONG time! About... 2...3 years now? Man oh man, there have been SO many changes, it's like the DM I remember at the core with al lthis fanciness added on! My my, the site has gone far! :D Anyways, after a few years of dealing with sites such as Mirrors, Reflections, Dark Ages, and some others, I've decided that it's about darn time that I make a re-appearance here. Some of you might remember me.. Matalina for one, Coran, if he's still around, Ata, Jason, Derryk, Jasin, and some others that I can't think of, lol. I was known as Jason Somara.... a Gaidin... ringing any bells? hehe. Or else MoonShadow, a Wolf.... lol. …

Well, I'm new here and I wanted to say hi! I love RJ's books (obviously :D ) and talking about them, but I'm interested in pretty much everything. I don't exactly know what to do, so if anybody has any suggestions, let me know! Thanks! Happy to be here!

i just started reading the eye of the world. i am about 200 pages in and am enjoying very much. recently i was reading R.A. Salvatore, the first ten anyway, and thought they were good, but robert jordan really seems to be much better, even though i am only 200 into the first book, it is much better. he seems to be better at storytelling, plot development. its a very good start to a series, not sure if i will go back to salvatore at all..

I'm new, so I'm posting to introduce myself a little. I already feel right at home since I love WoT so much and it seems everyone else here does as well! I'm looking forward to joining in on the discussions, I've been trying to get all of my friends to start reading the books so I can discuss them, but not many have bitten so far. Just a few facts to get you started: My most favorite charager is Mat. My favorite female character is a toss up b/t Moiraine and Elayne. I love trying to follow the political reasonings for why the Aes Sedai do what they do. I have read books 1-9 twice so far and 10, 11 & New Spring once so far. I love the complexity of WoT! …

So I've been addicted to this series since I first picked it up, thought it was a trilogy, found out it wasn't, and couldn't put it down until I had read every book in the series, even though I had exams comming up. My boyfriend at the time had to hide them from me so that I could get some studying done. Got him hooked on reading it too. I've read the series 3 times now, and will talk anyone's ear off if they are silly enough to ask me what my favorite fantasy seires is. I feel sorry for people who don't like or understand fantasy. Poor poor people. How sad. Anyway, so that's my little intro. Hope I don't get so addicted that I don't do my work :D

My name is Athena and I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself, I have been reading the forums for a while now and decided I should finally register. The Wheel of Time series is my favorite series ever, and I have probably read them 3 or 4 times already and planning to start again soon! Since most of my friends don't enjoy fantasy and scifi reading I never get to discuss these wicked awesome books, which I'm always eager to do, so hey!!!
