Been reading the books ever since I discovered the 3rd book in '96 as a wee kid of 8 years old. And I was hooked and got every book released and even begged my aunts and uncles to give each new book to me as birthday/Christmas gifts. Sadly, I had to leave the books behind when I migrated to another country. Somehow, my mother donated them to her pastor's booksale fundraiser and found out too late. I still hurt thinking about it. Buying the ebooks and latest releases just don't have the same feel. Oh well. Been a lurker to this site since 2013. Happy to see the TV series has sparked the interest of people and seeing new fans! PS, yes …

hello everybody! i'm Angelo from italy, and have been reading the books for a long time, sometimes binge-reading and sometimes leaving them on the shelf for weeks or months, right now i'm in the middle of KoD! noone of my friends read the books, and this killed me because I had noone to speak of the books and the tv show with. so the question is, why didn't I sign up before here? the answer is probably lost inbetween a turn of the Wheel and the next one...

Hi All, Admirer from afar and thought I join you guys. I love the books and am on my third round of reading the series. This time I'm in total discovery mode and trying to leave no stone unturned and find out more, and delve deeper into the lore which leaves me awake at stupid o clock searching for more answers. I'm in the group of none of my friends are into the series which leaves me babbling on to unwanted listeners (my dog) so I I though I would drop in to say hi.

Hi all, I am a long time fan of the books. Got tEotW out of the library back in 1993 or there abouts and loved it. Sometime later saw the whole trilogy in a book shop, so thought I would snap it up to look pretty on my bookshelf. It did not take long to finish the books and realise my misapprehension. Not regretted it though and have read all the books multiple times (new released, start again at the beginning first) up to book eleven. Then the sad news about RJ, and some major changes in my life, no more commuting, a change of country, small ugly creatures that crawl about and give you nightmares that I am reliably informed are called children. A…

Hello, lovely people! Glad to be here. I've been a fan of the Wheel of Time series since 2000, when I was in the tenth grade, and found the first book at a bookstore in the mall. I finally finished the full series only a couple of years ago, because I wanted to be able to buy all of the books and then read them through. Honestly, that took me far longer than I ever expected, but man was it a wild ride! Anyway, I'm a massive bookworm, usually have at least two books going at any given time. I'm also a cinephile, much to the annoyance of my partner. I love anything sci-fi fantasy, in book, television, or movie form, I am a huge fan of studying other…

Hello all! I first started reading WoT sometime in the mid 90's. I believe I have attempted to finish the series 5 times, but due to it's vastness I never did. Something would come up in my life and I would put down my books to deal with it. I am thrilled to announce that as of July, 2023, I have done it! The fantastically narrated audio books enabled me to keep on trucking this time around. I can't wait to discuss these novels (and the new show) with fellow fans.

I'm happy to welcome everyone to the Dragonmount forum! My name is Clark Hill , and I am new to this community. I am a keen reader of the Wheel of Time series and have recently discovered this forum where I can connect with like-minded people. I have to say that the world created by Robert Jordan captures me with its depth and epic scale. I've already read the first book and am impressed not only by the characters, but also by their complex relationships and the colorfully described worlds they travel through. I just can't wait to see what the next books in the series have in store for me. But before I continue on my journey, I'd like to share my thoughts and discuss them…

Salutations, my friends! I hope the title gained a smile or chuckle (and if not, at least the tug of a braid), and lest you think otherwise, rest assured it's well in good humor, as I vehemently adore the works of the maestro of which so many of us were awed enough to brave this virtual isle of his testament. By the blessing and curse of verbosity he had no doubt in part imparted while alive do I impart part of an introduction! Alas, I must first confess no wind smoothed my skirt, for I lack one entirely. A betrayal, I know — a lie — but I pray you, forgive me and move on. I've lurked here and viewed without an account plenty, sometimes with compl…

I started reading WoT in 1991. The Eye of the World was in paperback and The Great Hunt was in hardcover. I remember picking up the paperback of EotW and liking the length, the plot description and the cover. I remember Perrin being my favorite character. I remember the wait between books 2 and 3 seeming like forever. I remember reading The Dragon Reborn in the car on my way to college. I remember meeting Robert Jordan at a book signing in NYC in 1993 for The Fires of Heaven and getting a Read and Find Out to my question. I remember hating Nynaeve. I remember hours and hours of reading and posting on the rasfwr-j newsgroup in the mid to late 90's. I remember printing out …

I know you all will not remember me, but I used to be on here, and in the White Tower club in 2014 when I was like 13. And boy does coming back onto the site bring back memories! I see some familiar faces still around, which is nice. I used to go under the Username Calazar Al’aemon or something like that, but since I’m an adult (19M) now I figure my real name works. It’s really good to be back. P.S. I refuse to watch the show, because I can’t stand movie/TV adaptations of books. The same reason I don’t watch any MCU films anymore. Also, part of that is due to not liking how TV series can ruin a fan base, not saying that’s happening here. But I may not get refe…

I've known about Dragonmount for a while. I believe I formerly had an account, but it was probably terminated due to inactivity. In 1996, a cute college lady introduced me to the World of Tomorrow series, and I have been reading it ever since. I experienced the gloomy period between books 9 and 10. With episode 10, I almost gave up on the series. I was very disappointed since I was so interested in learning what happened following the cleaning. I'm not sure how active I'll be, but I've been a fan for a very long time, and I sincerely regret Ta'Veren Tees' passing.

I am from Okla Homa - Oklahoma means: “honorable Nation, a brave people, courageous Nation” It is derived from the Choctaw language. It is a reference to the indigenous people who were there before 'us'. I suppose I am brave --after a fashion but, mostly foolish & loyal to a fault. I do not use the word 'promise' lightly. A #wotfirsttimer I'm only on book 4 and i already have the bitter-sweet taste of the journey in my mouth. I am fortunate as a first timer as i am able to go from book straight on to book but am am grievously unfortunate -- as the Hand that Wrote has moved on...

So I’m new here. I’m almost done with the final book in the series and I’m kinda sad. This has been an amazing journey and I can’t believe it’s almost over. I love this story so much.

Hello everyone, nice to meet you all here. I have only recently started the series thanks to this YouTuber named Daniel Greene. Wheel of Time is a series I have heard going around but I was always daunted by the sheer number of books that were in the series and the world around it. After watching more videos about why I should read the series I decided to start after watching a trailer of the TV adaptation. It is really nice to read fantasy again (my only experience being books of Tolkien, JRRM, Harry Potter and faint memories of YA Fantasy at least 15 years ago). To give some context, my go to genre has always been psychological thrillers, horror or sad books…

Hi, there! I'm Jennifer K. Barry (Ayend'an over on Tumblr), a 29 year-old pro wrestling manager-in-training, metal music journalist, and proud member of Team M'Hael. My favorite Wheel Of Time characters are Mazrim Taim, Logain Ablar, Moridin, Demandred, Asmodean, Mat, Birgitte, and Nynaeve (in that order). I would say that I'm part Birgitte and part Moridin (I act/speak like Birgitte and think/feel like Moridin - sans omnicidal impulses, of course); I'm also Nynaeve when I'm hangry, but that's besides the point. XD I would probably belong to the Green Ajah (I participate in a lot of combat-related sports, so I like the idea of a Battle …

Hi all, long-time fan of the books here. Never interacted with fandom much and kind of drifted away after Memory of Light but the TV show drew me back in. Currently starved for content to tide me over in the long wait until season 2 so I thought I'd drop by ?

Hi everyone. Long time reader of the WoT books here. Have not really been active on any WoT social media since the late 90s (when I used to lurk on rec.arts.sf.written.robert-jordan). Was motivated to re-engage following the release of the new TV show, which spurred me to begin a re-read after a few years without doing one.

Hey all, I am not actually new to Dragonmount. I think I used to have an account years ago but it must have been deleted due to inactivity. I started reading WoT in '96 when a cute girl in college introduced me to the series and I have been hooked on it since. I lived through the dark times between books 9 and 10. I almost gave up on the series with 10. It was such a let down and I desperately wanted to see what happened after the cleansing. I am not sure how active I will be but I have been a long time fan and I truly lament that Ta'Veren Tees is no longer with us.
