I started reading The Wheel of Time around 20 years ago, then stopped somewhere around when Winter's Heart came out. Then, things like marriage, fatherhood and a few job changes came along, and I remember hearing how Mr. Jordan had passed away and I was sad, thinking the series might never be finished. However, I heard it was picked up by Brandon Sanderson and when I heard the final book came out at the beginning of this year, I was just finishing up another series and decided to tackle the Wheel of Time again. I started over with The Eye of the World early in the year and have now just gotten past the prologue of A Memory of Light. I'm in my 40s now, still married…

Umm..where do I start... One day, I was searching the russian translation of Terrry Pratchett's "Snuff" [i can read in english almost freely, just got striken by lazy], and found it on russian WoT forum. After getting the translation itself, I browsed around the forum, got interested in the world discussed there, and downloaded all 13 [at the time] books to read. It was the best literature-related decision ever since I've decided to read "Amber Chronicles" when I was 14 ^^ I am very sad that author died, but atleast books were finished nicely... About me: I am registered in lotsa places, but mostly just lurk and don't write [i tend to stir conflicts, which is not goo…

Hello Everyone, I stumbled across this site the other day, and I thought I'd stop in. I've read the books several times, and am a huge fan of the lore and setting. I'm also a pretty serious gamer, if that sort of thing is popular here. I'm also a fan of RP and the forums I've been on in the past have had a pretty dead RP community, so hopefully this will be a bit better.

Hey, guys I am really looking forward to talking to some fellow Wheel of Time fans! Love the books and the author. I am on the eighth book now, The Path of Daggers. It is awesome! Right in the middle of Egwene actually getting some control as an Amyrlin! Lelaine and Romanda are really annoying though. If you are past the eighth, please don't post any spoilers. A few days ago I had this strange dream (nightmare I guess, haha) that I was captured by Moridin and was being taken to an area where 13 Fades and 13 Black Ajah would be waiting to turn me to serve the Dark One. Right as they were about to begin...I woke up, haha. Anyway, hello! I've been a reader of the Wheel of Time since I was a 14 year old boy in high school (I'm 32 now). Needless to say, the Wheel of Time has had a tremendous influence on me: from day dreaming about Rand's confrontation with the dread Forsaken Sammael, to the love scenes with Aviendha and Min that my prudish father told me to skip through, haha. Glad to be a part of this community a…

I became aware of "The Wheel of Time" series through the Song "The Wheel of time" by Blind Guardian. ( Give it a try. The song is really good especially the lyrics) I started reading the series about two months ago and as of this day have finished the entire series. I feel like I should I have given it more time and read slowly but the series had hooked me onto it and I had quite a lot of sleepless nights not able to put the book down until I completed it or slept as I was reading it due to exhaustion. Infact, most of times I used to have the ebook version open next to me while I was working in office. It was a great ride which sadly came to an end and the sad thin…

Hello DM, yet another newcomer who's read the series a dozen times over or more. I don't remember the first time I picked up a WoT book, I think it was sometime in 7th or 8th grade (so something like ten years now, give or take a couple). Didn't get to read AMOL until early May, but when I did finally get my hands on it I burned through it in just a day or two. It's very rare to see a series as long-running as this (both book count and years in the making) manage to live up to what it began in its earlier novels, but WoT pulled it off and then some. I look forward to being part of this community and getting to know as many fellow WoT fanatics fans as possible.

Hello DM. I've been poking around a few forums for the last week. I suppose it is time I introduce myself. I enjoy WoT and the only other fantasy series I've read is A Song of Ice and Fire (aka, GoT). I've read a little sci-fi, non-fiction, and Crichton but very little fantasy. I fear I've started with the best and all other fantasy series will pale in comparison. I started WoT in 2002, read to Path of Daggers and then life got in the way. I only recently picked it back up to re-read and am now nearly done with Lord of Chaos. Each book I re-read honestly feels like I'm reading it for the first time -- there have been more than a couple "WHAT THE @#%*" moments.…

Hello everybody. This is exciting! It's my first time joining an adult forum. My mom just gave me the O.K. to join. Epictacular! If someone could show me around a little so I don't screw up and mortify myself, that would be sweet! My brother likes WoT, and originally got me started by reading it to me as a bedtime story. He might be sharing my account. Um... What else... Awkward silence...

Hi there everyone. I've been a long time reader of the series and I've just picked up a copy of the most recent book. I haven't started it yet because I'm still in the middle of GRR Martin's recent book. I've been really excited to get into the new WoT book, but its been such a long time since I read anything from the series. I've contemplated re-reading the entire series, but that might be a monumental task given my limited spare time. So I thought I'd join a fandom site of some kind, and this one seemed like the most popular. It also looks like you got some form of social groups/organizations going on as well. I'll have to check those out as well. ANYW…

Hello, An old member here coming back. I'm rereading the series and I remember my old online family here in Dragonmount. My last log in was probably..hmm.. 10yrs ago? Not sure. I'm running around the site that time with the name Ranulf Sinclair or Rahvin (was a chosen once and head of the Order of the Dominion founded by that jolly old trolloc leader Roka Smrtii). Coming back here to make new friends and mayhap join role playing again. *waves to everyone* ^_^

(WHEW) I just finished AMOL. Now the curse has lifted and I don't have to wait a year or so for the next book to come out. No more having to reread because too much time passed between volumes, or I just can't quite remember that character anyway and speaking of characters! New ones being introduced all the time! I started reading these books just after 'The Dragon Reborn' was published. That was back in '91. A friend got me hooked. Let me tell you that was a long time to be committed to a series. I hope not to do that again. No more series for me unless they are complete. Greetings!

Just like a lot of other's on this board I have faithfully followed this series for 20+ years having first picked it up in 7th or 8th grade around the time Shadow Rising first came out. Over the years I've known of the existance of this website and others around the web and have made use of them without ever becoming a member. I believe this website is where I learned of Mr. Jordan illness and his eventual passing, may he rest in peace. I've avoided reading and posting to these online forums mainly because I have always enjoyed trying to figure things out on my own and did not want to have others thoughts cloud my own theory's. I greatly enjoy when I'm wrong almo…

Hi everyone! Can't actually believe I'm so obsessive about the WofT that I'm on here, this is a tinternet first for me! But hey I'm embracing it! Since my real name is Sarah Adair, I couldn't help but notice how close this is to Saidar, hence my username. Pretty damn happy and geeked out about that! I am the true source, mwahahaha. Anyhoo, enough self indulgence. Just wanted to ask other peoples face characters etc to start off with. I am only half way through the 3rd book so hoping I don't see too many spoilers. I'm also trying to read pretty slowly as I never want it to eeeeeennnddd!!! Are there any UK fan clubs? Think I,might get on the fan art flex too. I wish Wheel o…

I just wanted to say hello to everyone here, and I'm looking forward to some enlightening conversations about the Wheel of Time. A little about me... I read The Eye of the World for the first time in the middle of February 2013 and I finally finished A Memory of Light in the first week of May. I may have jumped on the bandwagon late, but better late than never. Wheel of Time was the most fun I'd had reading a fantasy series since I read Harry Potter all of those years ago... so glad to have discovered this series, it was really worth the time and effort. Just discovered the emoticons...awesome. These were my favorites

Hi, my name is Caleb, and I'm from Strathmore, Alberta, Canada. I've been a long time fan and lurker on these forums; I've visited many times, and never thought to make an account for some reason. My main goal here is to get immersed in a community of fellow WoT fans, and to possibly develop a WoT game or mod. Thanks! :)

Hi, Have literally just finished "A Memory of Light" an hour ago. Feel emotionally drained and lost for words. Can't believe the journey I started with these books 15 years ago is finally over. So I find myself looking for something else to fill the void and remembered this site. Have been following this excellent website for a while now for information (especially keeping up with all the characters in the story!) and have finally decided to sign up to these forums. Hope to speak to some of you soon and look forward to reading about other peoples thoughts and experiences with these books. :)

I only started reading this series back in Jan 2012, but it's one of the best series I've ever read. I loved all the books, and read aMoL as quickly as I could. It's amazing to find such a great community dedicated to these books. I found this site because of the cage matches (too many hours spent on Google) and its really fun to read through all the theories and snippets of extra information that I missed out first time I read the books, now I'm re-reading them. It almost makes up for the series coming to an end... Other than that, its great to be here!

I've been reading WoT for probably close to 15 years.

Hi people of Dragonmount! My name is Scott. Im 29 and live in Portland, OR. I have been a fan of the WoT for about 8 years now. I love the universe Mr. Jordan created. I look forward to reading a lot of awesome thoughts and theories! I hope I can contribute to the never ending quest of figuring out all the mysteries in this amazing series. I'm friendly and easy going, so feel free to talk to me if need be. Peace!

Good Morning, I am surprised I have not joined previously, I generally keep an eye on all things WOT related. I have been a fan since I was 14 years old, and have read the series through 4 times and have all the books on audio as well. This series has kept me company for the past 18 years, it has been with me on 6 deployments around the world, and it has constantly given me a place to turn to escape into fantasy. What an amazing series from an amazing author, and I feel so fortunate that someone had stepped forward to finish Mr. Jordan's work. I will truly miss looking forward to the next book, it is a bitter sweet feeling to know that the series is over and I truly wish…
