Hello all! I figured I would post a quick intro. I am a County Sheriff's Deputy in Texas. Yes its true, we can read. I have been a RJ fan since 1998, and a scifi/fantasy fanatic my entire life. I am an avid outdoorsman. I prefer to design my own tattoos and love drawing. Most importantly, I am the father of the coolest 2 1/2 year old in the world. Well, that's me in a nutshell.

Hello! Just finished the series! I am having trouble coping and I needed to sign up so that I could have a community of people who understand what I am going through! My husband is trying to get it but the only series he has ever been deep into is Harry Potter. He cried like a baby at the last book. But WOT is just too long and complicated to explain! So! I wanted to introduce myself! Been loving the series for a long, long time! Good to be here! Bathedinthelight

  6. ...and as I finish today I find myself full of emotion. I cannot express how beautiful and a part of my life this series has been. I feel like I lost a Father when Robert Jordan passed...but found a brother with Brandon Sanderson. The ending was perhaps all I could have hoped for...the very ending words most fitting; "He came like the wind, and like the wind touched everything, and like the wind was gone."

I'm in the middle of book 8 and ran into some print problems with my book, in my search for help/answers I stumbled across this wonderful community :D I was a Tolkien and DragonLance junky in the past and a good friend turned me onto The Wheel of Time series, which I am completely loving! I'll be careful not to poke my nose where spoilers lurk ;) Billy a/k/a ToesNose

Never finished. Got part way through book three years ago and decided to start all over again. Bought a new copy of Eye of The World as the original my wife bought me back in '92 and is pretty ratty. My daughter is nuts about the series. Just told me she got a tattoo on the back of her neck - ji'e'toh. What I find funny about the series is when I started reading it, it was only a trilogy. Now it's a huge multi volume epic! Amazing to see so many loyal dedicated fans!

Hello hello, my names Drew! Wanted to say hello. I'm only on the 4th book right now but can already tell it's going to be one of my favorite series. I'm excited because unlike the last series I really got into (a song of ice and fire), it's done! and theres' what 14 books? :D Anyway Idk if i'm going to go on to much of the posts as i am still early in the book don't want spoilers. But can't wait to talk some Wheel of Time . The light illumine you all :)

Hey, I have only recently discovered this series recently and am disappointed to not have found it sooner. It was recommended to me by my friend. I always wanted to join this site but wary of the spoilers since I am only on book 6. Anyway I hope to find many fans here who want to talk about the series together. The Wheel turns, and Ages come and pass. ShayolGhull

  11. I read the series up to about Book 8 in the '90's while I was living in Australia. Back in Enzed, it turns out that my sister is a real Wheel of Time Geek. ( Ok, ok, my sister is a geek. period - so I'm not necessarily suggesting you are all a bunch of geeks, even though that may be true. Or not.) Anyway, my sisters has lent me the first four books and will lend me the rest when I have read those. I'm on Book 2, about to start chapter 20.... I'll continue this intro later... I gotta get back to my book...

hey I'm new to dragonmount.com. I love the wheel of time series and listen to the audio books daily at work. With the ending of the books I find that I'm really going to miss these characters. I hope there is an eventual Post Final battle book with Rand and Elayne and the twins, ect.

  13. Greetings all, Been many a moon since I last posted on these boards. I'm very glad to see the sight is still around and being ran so well. Just finished aMoL and I feel like a part of my life is now complete. I started reading when I was a sophomore in high school, back in '92. I've read, and re-read, the books continuously since then, with a few other FF series thrown in here and there to keep myself sane while waiting for each next book. I've spread the gospel of the World of the Wheel to many people. I believe it is without a doubt, one of the great experiences of my life. I don't think I'll ever read another series this big (unless the Stormlight saga turns…

I've come to this site on and off over the years to read posts, but never made an account...didn't realize what I was missing! I guess now that it has really hit me that the series is DONE made me want to reach out to other Wheel of Time folks. I can't just live the rest of my life without any WoT flavoring. My older brother got the Eye of the World when he was in middle school (he's three years older) and would regale me with play-by-plays as he read it. I didn't know its name though, so in fifth grade when a friend loaned it to me I was startled and excited that it was the same book. It was my first fantasy reading experience and I am so grateful to that frien…

Hello, my name is Dylan and I live in the lovely New Zealand! If you do not know where this is, it is in the South Pacific, East of Australia. I am currently 17, will be 18 later on in the year. I was introduced to the Wheel of Time series by my father in 2010. He passed me 'The Eye of the World' upon asking him; "What should I read now?" I had just completed a David Eddings series - the Belgariad. I started the book, and the first paragraph just gripped me; “The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third A…

Hi All, Just want to start by saying I'm glad this forum exists. I've loved reading the different threads here for awhile now. I've been reading the WoT since I was about 14. I was a long time LotR's fan and when I got into WoT I was blown away. By FAR the best novels i've ever read. I look the amount of depth in the books. So many developed characters, lands, peoples, cultures and some very creative ideas. RJ is truly an amazing author (BS is pretty good as well). Since I started I've recommended the book to many family and friends who have since read the books and loved them. Now almost 10 years later I enjoy aMoL and hope you all read it. I would love if there was …

New to the forums and quite new to the series. I learned about WoT via the awesome Blind Guardian songs. I had never heard of it before. So I asked some people about the series but I still wasn't so sure if I wanted to get into a 10+ book series. The next day I was looking for some books in my sisters' library and what do you know , there was the first Eye of the world volume on a shelf. No really. So that was what i needed to start. 4 months later and I am just starting Lord of Chaos. So... hey!

Just popping in to give my piece of mind. I'm interested in the movie thread. I don't want to act but I do want to be realisitic. It's selfish to think a movie version of this epic can be filmed in our lifetime. Best to focus on the first 4 or 5 books and let the next generation take over. Rome wasn't built in a single lifetime and this series should be no different. Give this novel time to flower into the next century, If you want to put it on film do it with style but don't rush it. We will be judged by our grandsons and grandaughters harshly if we mess this up ... so be wise and careful and do it right one book at a time. - Marley

I stumbled across this site last night around 4 in the morning after finishing the New Spring book. I stopped reading the WoT series after the 9th book but now I'm restarting again. I looked at a few different categories on the forum of this site and stumbled across a spoiler which was the death of a character i really liked. Bummer. Anyways, anyone have some suggestions where to start? Very happy to be here!

  27. After nerding out over WoT for several years and becoming a Memory Keeper for Brandon and Harriet's book signing in Raleigh, I decided it was time for me to finally create a Dragonmount username. Mine is possibly the most boring handle you've ever seen, but I'm a writer, so I like to keep my name consistent. Or maybe I was just bitter that "Elmindreda" was gone ("Well, duh," you say, "What did you expect?")... I will call myself Jaimie Sedai, because even though I like my real name, I like the sound of that even better.' Stay tuned for the Raleigh Memory Keeper report...

Hey all, I satrted the wheel Of time about 20 years ago and have just finished the last book. Loved the series but finishing it has left me wanting. It hit me in the middle of the night how much I will miss these charecters. I am now wondering if there are plans for any more prequels or spinoffs for WOT?

I was wearing the shawl of the Purple Ajah if anyone knows that old Verin theory (basically a lightside version of the Black Ajah). I post on Tor.com under the same username. If anyone knows the guy who cosplayed as Mat, I found one of his daggers. I assume he wants it back. I like theories. I dislike people bringing up clearly disproven ones. I will stab all who claim Olver is Gaidal Cain, with a sharpened book. My favorite pairings are Mat/Tuon, Androl/Pevara, and Moiraine/Thom. Honorable mention to Suian/Gareth. Have lurked in the recent past.
