I was very sad when I finish Eragon or rather the Inheritance Cycle and was so glad to find the Wheel of Time. I loved Wheel of Time and finished all 14 books in 7 months. Now I'm sad, I feel like my friends have left. As much as I loved the ending, I'm finding my self longing for more.

I've been reading the wheel of time for about 5 or 6 years now. and it is easily my favorite series. I've only ever got through Winter's Heart, and took a break until the series was finished to start reading it again. On Shadow Rising now, and almost to Fires of Heaven. This'll probably be my 4rd or 4th time reading these ones, but beyond Winter Heart, the series will be an exciting mystery I can't wait to explore. Looking forward to making and meeting new friends in the series, and probably showing off the death metal song I wrote about the prophecies of the Dragon Reborn n_n

Hey hey all! I'm the first to finish aMoL among my participating friends and family and it is torturous! I have avoided all contact with forums and theorycrafting lest I spoil something.....that leaves me devoid of people to discuss now! I belatedly turn to you oh forums to quench my thirst for WoT banter. Please do not fail me, for I am fragile and weak, and just may end up spurting out spoilers at the next family dinner. Can't wait to meet you all and see what your particular experience with the Jordan / Sanderson team has been. It is indeed very strange drawing to conclusion something that has been in my life for 17 years. Re-read after re-read, I feel l…

Hello everyone. I am new to the Wheel of Time series. I learned of this series when a friend of mine mentioned it to me when I had asked if he had known of any good books that I should check out. Earlier this month I finally began the first book and instantly got hooked. I am currently reading through the Great Hunt, book 2 of the series. I have stumbled upon your forum here and find this to be a very nice community you have here. I currently reside in California though I have traveled through much of the United States. I love the outdoors and have a passion for reading as well. It is great to see so many people come together here and partake in discussions of the boo…

Saying hi before I run off the post :) Just finished the new book a week ago. After mulling things over it was finally time to come and see everyone else's thoughts and add my own. Happy that there is a place to do that!

Hello everyone! I figured it was long past time I join this board instead of simply lurking in the shadows. I have been reading the Wheel of Time series since 2002, when my college English teacher dropped the third book on my desk with the words, "Read this. Rand sounds like a male version of your story's main character." You see, I had entrusted her with the first few chapters of a story I had been writing for many years. I was shocked that one of my characters might be treading on copyright sacred ground, so I took the book home and read it in a single, sleepless weekend. Happily, Rand shared only a few physical attributes and the curse of being part of a ma…

Hello everyone, finished the last book last night, of course stayed up about 2 more hours than intended, and surprisingly enough I managed not to cry O_o... Glad to see a relatively thriving community still alive even if my generation (1995-onwards) will probably not read these books even though they should. I'm going to be contributing mostly to the video game section as that is where I'm most concerned in terms of success. The books are amazing and I may poke my head into the "simple question" thread just to ask ... well one simple question. See you around

Hi, my (user)name's Jelindel and I'm a WoT-aholic. Also I'm new to Dragonmount. So hi. I've really no idea of what is happening on all the boards and such, been lurking since I finished AMOL, but staying far far away from anything that isn't theories and all that. So I'd really appreciate it if someone can suggest a forum for me to lurk in for a while that isn't incredibly scary for new people... Thanks all :)

I evidently was chosen in the drawing to be included in MOL! I was flabbergasted. I'll consider this my 15 minutes of fame. This old lady has enjoyed the WOT ride. Thank you all for an amazing tale. I just wonder how come I wasn't informed by Tor or ? I will continue to enjoy the forums & blogs & reread the series at least 1 more time -10 times seems like a nice number.

Greetings from Seattle, I was first introduced to WoT in 2005 through a friend. To be honest, I found it to be a slow start and I stopped after the first 60 pages or so. A few months later I decided to try it again and read the Winternight chapter. At that point, I was hooked. Looking back, I'm extremely thankful I discovered this series relatively late in the game. For those that started reading the series in the 90s, I can't imagine the waiting that some of you endured. Now that I've finished aMoL, I can't help but feel a little sad that the world RJ has created has effectively come to an end. To help mitigate, I've decided to re-read the series and of course, j…

I started reading the books over this past summer and I finished the first three books. I stopped reading because of just things getting in the way and now with the series being over, I want to pick it back up. Should I restart? I somewhat remember but not that well the first three books. Also! For Christmas, my wife picked up "A New Spring" for me, should I read that first or restart with the Eye of the World? THANKS!

I never thought I would get so caught up in such a long series as this. All I can say it has been hook line and sinker for me.I have enjoyed re-reading the WoT books every 2 years just so my mind would be fresh for the next release,it has been a awesome journey.Robert had a way of writing that drew you in,made you a part of it,you could feel it breath it,he made me laugh cry hate and love. Now it is over and I feel like I have lost something a big part of my life has ended sorrow fills me that 2 years from now when I re-read the series there will be no new book.Robert Jorden you was a great man and a legend God bless you brother you are greatly missed but never forgotten.

Hello there :) So another geek finally found his way around the internet and landed here, amids people of his kind. If you couldn't figure it out yet, I'm speaking of me, but as we all know, all readers of this bookseries can't be slow witted, as it is far to awesome :DD However... My name is Piccadilly, but you may call me Picca, or what other nickname you think suits me. I'm really fond of this books, and I chose to sign-up on this forum right now, because I just finished the last book. (Btw, I'm quite sad and happy...ugh) I hope I'll have a fun time here, and that I'll a lot of funny, interesting and maybe creepy stuff about one of my favourite book-series. …

Hello everybody! I've been reading these boards for a while, but couldn't resist dipping in after reading AMoL. Been reading the books since The Shadow Rising came out, and used to post to rasfwrj back in the dark ages. My prediction rate is shocking though. I once checked Deja News and realised that, to my horror, I was probably the first person to suggest that Moridin killed Asmodean ('death took him') :)

Hello all! My name is Matt and I'm new to The Wheel of Time series and Dragonmount. I'm currently about halfway done Eye of The World and thus far I'm really enjoying it! I just finished A Dance With Dragons this summer and afterwards I needed to find a new epic fantasy series. Everyone recommended me The Wheel of Time. My goal here is to meet The Wheel of Time community and discuss this really long series. It's always nice to have a community online to discuss a series with so much content! My question is, where is a good place to start -- a place to avoid spoilers? There are so many sub-forums here that I don't know where to start! :p

Hello, folks. How's it going ? Figured I should finally join here and look at some book discussions. I've been a fan of the series for years, and now that it's over I'm looking to enjoy some more discussions and reread. Also working on a project, which I will take this moment to introduce. https://maidenhandtalk.wordpress.com/ Anyway, I'm excited to get to know some new people and read some book discussions to see what you all think of the series now that it's finished!

Hello everyone. My name is Rik Church and I have been a loyal reader since the very first printing of " The eye of the world " ( Has it really been 23 years since the first book!? Amazing! ) and I can honestly say no other book series save Tolkiens LOTR has kept me captivated and enthralled like Mr Jordans WoT series has. I just finished "A memory of light " and I am astounded at the cpacity of these books to make me feel. Am I the only one who got choked up [AMOL spoiler removed]? Outstanding end to a groundbreaking and remarkable achievement for everyone involved.

I had to be on campus to take care of a few things today (I returned to school in 2011 and am almost finished my basic degree) and got stuck in a long line to get into a particular office. I noticed the young person standing in front of me was reading the trade-paperback edition of TGH! He was even at almost the same point I was in the book. I (of course) had my used pb copy with me and we quickly got to trading stories about how we got into the series, favorite characters & scenes, theories about what would happen later in the series appreciation for Jordan's prose etc. It was a great random occurrence and he turned out to be a very cool person. In addition, th…

Not really new to this forum but I forgot my username. I think I remember signing up by book 6 or so. Hi to everyone. I stopped reading the books after book 10 because of school then graduation then work. Availability of the books were also scarce as local bookstores don't seem to stock RJ's books. In 2007 I thought the series would be in shambles. Several days ago there was a sale offering all the books in one big box. I read everything again until I got to the 13th book. I could see the differences in writing but I could still see RJ's influence. Book 14 all I can say is that I cried a LOT, more than several times. It made me feel sad to know that a grea…

Hi hope that everyone is okay! Just thought that I would introduce myself, relatively new to dragonmount but not to the WOT, have just finished a memory of light and what a fitting ending it was. Fantastic as it took me a week as I paced myself to enjoy it. Looking forward to chatting to people about WOT or anything else really. Cheers

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie from East Africa. I found the site last night while looking for some character art and Mashiara Sedai unwittingly made me join after giving me a minor (possibly major?) heart attack. Anyway that's solved and I'm now trying to learn my way around the site. Here's a little info about me. I love writing and I love WoT, and I am currently studying for my degree at a university in Nairobi. I'm a bit reserved and I spend way too much time online enjoying meta-drama among other silly things (memes). I should probably go out and make some friends or something, or whatever it is people my age do. I'm 22 by the way, in case anyone was wondering.…

I've visited there forums before, but never really participated. However, been feeling really down since reading the last book, knowing that the series is over, and kept coming back here to see what others were thinking about it. That's it I guess. Nice to meet you all. :)
