Hey everyone, I've been creeping around this site for about a year now without ever posting anything (seems like I'm not the only one). I think it's about time that changed! I've spent the last nine years of my life reading The Wheel of Time series. Even though the series is over, I'm looking forward to continuing the discussions, art, and so on with everyone here! Hope to talk to some of you soon!

Well, I hate to be the depressed guy in the room, but I have to explain my personal history with the series. I've struggled with depression/suicidal thoughts since the 5-6th grade, and I loved fantasy books but they were never immersive enough or long enough. I'm only 20 now, but due to my mental issues I have very little memory of my childhood before the age of 18, but I remember reading the Wheel of Time books during middle school. I was always yelled at by teachers to pay attention, I always tried to hide the paperback books inside of my text books and they were taken away constantly. I have wonderful memories of being able to escape with these books, and its a huge bu…

Interestingly enough, I've always used Dragonmount as a resource to figure out what has been going on in the overall WoT community, but I never joined the forums or signed up. Well...now I have....so Greetings All! I've been reading/listening to the books since around 2000 and while I am no expert, my wife has recently pointed out that my obsession with WoT means I can't scoff at Tolkien addicts.....unfortunately, the blasted woman is correct! Anywho, to further engross myself in the WoT community (world) I have decided to finally sign up! Now, if you'll excuse me...I've noticed that there's some RP going on, which I've never noticed before (somehow....), and my fi…

I've been reading the WoT books for 7 years now, and have stalked these forums for the last year or so. Finally decided to create an account, so I could discuss the last book.

Hi, everyone. I don't know how I didn't join this site when I first discovered it a few years ago. After KoD, I took a long break from reading WoT, because I was scared I wouldn't like the next few books, given RJ's death (a dumb fear, but a real one). I guess that that's why. This year, I came to my senses, and read tGS and ToM in time for aMoL. Reading aMoL shattered the seals placed upon several years' worth of needing to talk about this series with other fans, so here I am! I look forward to discussing everything with you all.

Hello everyone, It’s been quite a while since I was here last, so I’m a bit lost! I was a member here about 10 or so years ago, and was an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah (under a different username). If somebody could fill me in on how everything works around here now that would be fantastic! I am interested in rejoining my Ajah if possible, but I’m also open to the idea of maybe being able to join another if it suits me better, and if I was welcome to hehe :) Looking forward to hopefully getting involved again! Hi, I'm Jefe. I've been reading the WoT series since around 2002 and I instantly loved it. Just finished the last book and thought it was high time I got around to joining this place. I'm looking forward to talking with everyone here :D

Hi DM Community! First I would like to thank Dragonmount for all the great information provided here. I was able to attend a midnight release of AMOL in Utah. There was also a Q&A forum with Harriet McDougal and Brandon Sanderson that I heard of here at DM! Thanks for the accurate info, it was such a fun event! I got my signed copy and a speeding ticket on my way home. Well, I haven't gotten much sleep the last few days and have really been enjoying A Memory of Light. It has been great, but I am a little bummed that the story is coming to an end. However, I look forward to joining the discussion of this great series as the wheel turns ;)

I'll get working on an e-mail to the Guinness Book of Records after this. Hello, everyone! I decided it was time to start posting now that I'm done with MoL (don't worry; I won't throw spoilers around). I'm not really one to talk extensively about myself, but I thought I'd be remiss and more than a little impolite if I didn't post an introduction of some kind. Some fairly general information would be that I'm 22, from England but living in Wales, and I'm a university student studying linguistics. Interests would include creative writing, photography and general time-wasting where a laptop or PS3 is available. Nice to meet you all!

Hi everybody! Many years ago I started reading the WoT-series but while reading book 10 my attention slipped for a while. Being a serial reader I needed a break, there were so many other good books waiting to be read. I had a Dragonmount-account, but I think it was deleted when there was a reorganisation. We are a few years later now, and I decided to start back over with my notebook in hand to write down every single detail that can be relevant in the future. It takes some time, but it's worth it! I've forgotten many things from future books. So I don't know whether you will see me here often, since I don't want to read all the spoilers. But I'll pitch in where I …

I've visited this site from time to time, even had an account here at one point, but never did much with it. Having finished off AMoL now, I figure it would be good timing to come back and see what everyone thought, so I'm back for good this time.

Hello all, It is a pleasure to meet all of you. I just had to get active on these forums after finishing the last book. I am at a loss for words. I read the book with excitement and trepidation. It is the end of an era for me. I have nothing in WoT to look forward too. Closure is sweet but finality is overwhelimg.

I've been lurking on Dragonmount for years, but finally wanted to join to discuss the last book. I began reading WOT in spring 1991, breaking my general rule at the time of never reading an unfinished fantasy series, but thinking it was okay in that instance because I thought WOT was going to be a trilogy and, hey, the final book was going to be out a few months later. (Hey, what's 20 years? I was never very good at math.) I used to post in the old usenet groups, but never really made the transition to posting any of the WOT forums. So I guess it's better late than never. Jess

Hey, I'm new to this site. I've looked over it a few times before, but decided now is the time to join. I started reading these books four years ago, so I've had no where near the wait that some of you guys have had. After racing through AMoL, I'm rereading the entire series, as I only had time to reread ToM before AMoL was released. I thought BS did as well as anyone other than RJ could have done with the final three. I look forward to talking with some of you :)

Greetings all! I figured that I'd finally join the fun here, as I wait for my copy of A Memory Of Light to arrive in the post. I was introduced to The Wheel Of Time by a past love, and have been reading these books for twenty one years. Looking forward to some discourse on the end of this series!

I have always been an avid reader as is my husband. 5 of my children are as well. I got into fantasy a few years ago when my youngest son kept laughing at the antics in the Sword of Truth series. Some of the quotes caught my attention so I read the entire series. As I was reading that one, another of my sons said, "Hey ma! You'd love the gals in this series!" He was talking about Aes Sedai. I was off an running again. It is by far my favorite fantasy series. I've read the Legend of Drizzt, Riftwar Saga and started in on Modesitt's Recluse. So far, WoT is the only series I've read multiple times, naturally rereading before each new book comes out. The thing I fi…

I have been listening to this series since the about 2005 when a war gaming buddy of mine suggested it. The Audiobooks are wonderful, and have made my travels around the US very exciting. I have just downloaded Book 12 and am looking forward to it and the last two. Brandon Sanderson is one of my favorite fantasy authors. I have listened to all of his Mist Born novels. I live in western TN on a little hobby farm (horses, chickens, geese, cats, dogs and one duck) with my wife. The picture on my profile is my English Mastiff, Maximus Dementis AKA Max sleeping on one of our beds. We have two English mastiffs (Max and Buffy the Rat Slayer), a chihuahua (Daisy Duke), a J…

Hey all, I'm the owner of wheeloftimeonline.com a blog I started up in hopes of creating a WOT MMO (before out found out about Red Eagle having the rights. I heinously neglected the site due to RL the last couple years, but given that I've got some free time, and I am very excited about A Memory of Light (soooo close.... I must have it!), I brushed off the site, updated my spam bot shields, and have added some new information. I lurk on Tor now again, and have dropped by here a few times in the past, but just wanted to say hi and welcome anyone to give feedback on the game concepts I posted recently here: http://wheeloftimeonline.com/?page_id=24. And now to wa…

Hi, I was here for a bit 2011-2012 but got distracted by "stuff" (life) and lost my password etc., so I've rejoined with a new screen name. (I was 'Malveth' back then.) I read EOTW in 1990, and while I enjoyed it, I did not continue with the series. One of my nephews got into the books and kept recommending them to me - he knows my tastes and kept insisting that WOT wasn't a "typical fantasy". I finally re-read EOTW out of curiosity in 2011. I was blown away by how good it was and decided to complete the whole series. I am halfway through TGH now and am really beginning to appreciate the depth of Jordan's gifts. Chapter 22 of TGH is my favorite so far! I've been putt…

After being a long time lurker (come to read other people's theories and in theoryland too) I've finally decided to register. Been a WoT fan since 1997, after having been introduced to it from free promotional copy of Eye of the World ( all the chapters to Shadar Logoth )that my brother picked up. Purchased full book next day. Spent the next month catching up in the series all the way up to aCoS. That month I had bad attendance and lateness record at school ( to the point of almost getting suspended). I'm from London (U.K)and love everything fantasy related, mainly books. Anyway I've managed to gather up my courage to register and post here. So hello everyone.

Hello folks.. Glad to be here, I have been a HUGE fan of the series for like.. forever.. and now just before it is ending I have finally decided to sign up and create an account after lurking for a while. Recently moved to Singapore from New York. While it is lovely out here.. booming economy and a great base for all the scuba diving I do, it is a bit cut off from WoT activities and fandom (anyone listening out there?) Now that the series has almost ended I also need some place where I can come and discuss the series and anything new to think about which I have missed in the previous books... Looking forward to being a part of the discussion when AMOL is finally r…

Hello all, Just thought I'd introduce myself. I've been following the series for 20 years or so, and am like all of you chomping at the bit to read those final pages. I'm also a writer of various sorts of fiction, poetry and songs. Robert Jordan and Orson Scott Card are the two authors responsible for turning me into a writer, while Brandon Sanderson has played a key role in my self-education on the trade. I began reading the book when the Great Hunt was only available in hard back. I read the first 9 books as they came out, but something happened with the 10th and I parted ways with the series for a long time. It wasn't really a conscience decision, and I co…

Good afternoon all you WOT fanatics! Greetings from a sunny and hot Pretoria, South Africa! I know the majority of you have read the little bits Dragonmount/Tor has released since last year. I just read the opening portion of Chap 3, I must say I find it extremely intriguing; you know, edge of your seat stuff! Logian kind of disappeared since the knife of dreams....Rand is cautious - regarding going to the BT... He sends Narishma, a man he trust. We know he is in disguise but we havent heard from him since... Any ideas where he could be and what he is about? I cant help but feel that the forces supported Rand/Logian are outmatched by those of Taim. If there is a b…

Hi! I've been reading RJ's books for years by now, even if it hasn't been easy here in Italy since the WoT's life has been far from reader-friendly (by now several books are out of print since a couple of years). Still, I've always read them as they're meant to be! As RJ wrote them. No filter from translators! And now.... less than a week from AMOL! So ... Hi Everyone, since we still have some free time!
