Good evening everyone, long time lurker here on DM, just never got around to making an account. A lifetime resident of Charleston, I was working at Citadel Mall at Waldenbooks circa 1994 or 95 and actually sold books to Jim and Harriet and got about a 15 or 20 minute one on one with the great man himself. Still one of the greatest memories of my youth of all time. Well, you'll all seeing a lot more of me soon, so glad to be Onboard!!!

Just wanted to drop in and say Hi. I've been a fan for almost 18 years, but haven't been involved in any forums. Got lost in some of the theory discussions at Jordancon so I figured it was time to bone up on my knowledge. I wrote down some notes from the Kaffe Klatch with Wilson and Harriet that I can share if you like. My favorite book is Shadow Rising, favorite scene is kind of a tie between Dumais Wells and Egwene's Defense of the White Tower. I dyed my hair for the first time in my 40 years so that should answer who my favorite character is. For now here's my pictures of me with Wilson and Harriet. Talk soon. Atlanta Rand.

Hey WOT community, I'm from West Virginia, though I've been living in China and Costa Rica on and off. I read through book 6 when I was in high-school, but now that I'm a little older (24) I have a renewed desire to reread and continue the rest of the series. Like all of you, I'm slowly becoming an addict. Who knew lounging around and reading all day could be so enjoyable! Ha! Anyway, pleasure to introduce myself to you. Have a good one. tris b.t.w. In book two when Rand and Co. find themselves in the mirror world, he describes seeing lines moving across the sky. All I can figure out is that these are contrails. Any ideas? If it's a big spoiler j…

Hello everyone, I started reading the WOT books at the end of 2010, and in between other books have read my way to near the end of 'Lord of Chaos'. Enjoying it for the most part, some slight hiccups - but I'm eager to get in on the discussion aspect as no one I know has read them.

Hello everyone! I actually have a very specific reason for registering for this community. Years ago, a book store in my neighboorhood won a book signing event with Robert Jordan and my older brother and I were going to go and get a copy signed. By the end of the short wait my brother found out that he'd be unable to attend and asked me to please get a sig for him and I told him that I would get it done. On the day, however, I was annoyed at having to go alone and, being an impetuous youth, I decided I would come back when the line would be shorter...I didn't make it in time. I've felt terrible ever since and I was wondering if anyone might have a line on a signed co…

Hey ladies (and gentlemen!), I joined this site quite a while ago but never really took the time to write an introduction. So here I am: female, 25 years old, italo-german (living in Germany atm), one of those liberal, idealist Europeans. I'm studying history at uni here and I spend my spare time cuddling my cat (Maine Coons rock), reading books (not just fantasy, though), watching movies (but I'm quite picky there), doing some modeling (www.myemilia.net if you're interested), playing mmorpg's and I'm currently wasting my time learning Japanese for no apparent reason. ;) I've started reading WoT in 2002 (I think) and my WoT book collection is a very weird mi…

I've been reading WoT since I was a teen. I had fun at JordanCon this year -- second year I went. I'm here to find a practice partner in Atlanta. I have some ideas I want to try, but no one to work with. Anyone interested?

I've been a fan of the site since I first started reading the series about the same time that I began college (in 2002), and never got around to joining...better late than never, I guess! I've read through Book 11, and was too occupied to pick up the next ones when they came out. As can be imagined, I've forgotten much, save the basics. But, working two (sometimes three) jobs at once, while training as a competitive swimmer, I don't have much time to sit down and re-read the series before what is sure to be an epic finish. Sooooooooo, I opted to go a different route, and listen to it with audiobooks. Some might consider that cheating, but I think that it gives a whole dif…

Hey, don't pay any attention to the cryptic header, I'm noone special. I am new, however, to posting on these forums so I figured I'd say howdy here first. I currently live in South Carolina, noticed already a fair amount of people from SC on these boards. Im obviously a big fan of WOT, and several other epic fantasy series (anyone else have unending love for the Chronicles of Amber?). I actually feel like I have kind of a cool claim to fame related to WOT: Im a bassist/singer of my band, which oddly has the same name as my display name (??!!?!?!!111?!!) Despothera, and I wrote an instrumental song that happens to be freaking AMAZING (no joke, I hope to have it record…

I've also been lurking here since i found this site all the way back after I finished Crossroads of Twilight. Matrim Cauthon is my favorite character Nynaeve al'Meara my least favorite My favorite book is Shadow Rising and my least favorite is Lord of Chaos. I think thats all you need to know as most of of are massive WOT fans and could most likely get and understand my entire personality from that.

Hello Hello. I've read all sorts of fantasy and I have never read anything that I truly enjoy as much as this series. I'm, in anticipation of the final novel, re-reading the series for the 4th time. It's so endearing to read Rand, Mat, and Perrin as they are in the first novel, truly innocent, and knowing who they will eventually become. Thought I would jump into this forum to talk with others that love these books as much as I do.

Hello, everyone. I live in Southern California, in a city called Buena Park. I'm turning 24 soon, and right now I'm writing at least two novels (I hope I can publish one by the end of this year). I used to be a huge fan of Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time (and fantasy in general). But now I'm more engrossed in contemporary political thrillers and crime dramas. I still admire The Wheel of Time for its characters (especially Mat, Moiraine, Lan, and Logain) and for Jordan's riveting writing style. I'm annoyed, however, by the useless (and illogical) romantic subplots. Anyway, I hope I'll have fun on this forum!

Greetings, all :) I'm Himiko, I started reading the Wheel of Time books about 5/6 years ago now (damn long waits for books 12 and 13!) and thought it was about time I joined the forum. I'm a final year Maths student from the North West of the UK. I like metal, folk, and anime soundtracks, books and films relating to the Arthurian legends, and terrible B-movie horror. I also like bunnies. They are my greatest weakness... Wheel of Time is probably my favourite series, I'm planning on doing a reread soon, so my opinions on characters may change, but currently, some of my favourite major characters are Nynaeve, Mat, Perrin and Faile (who seems to be disliked a lot... …

Hello everyone. I came across your forum as I was searching for WOT online communities. I recently started cataloging my library and came across a couple WOT books. One of them is a 1990 version of Eye of the World and the other two are both hardback versions of the Path of Daggers. I would appreciate some guidance from some of the possible collectors here on the value of the books. Thanks!

Good day to you all! The marvels of The Wheel of Time series (R.I.P. Robert Jordan)have fascinated me for years. I personally feel that Brandon Sanderson has done a marvelous job with the continuation, and look forward to the next book. I am an avid reader of most things fantasy related (save for that BS Twilight crap) and found that The Wheel of Time series is the standard by which I judge my other reads. All I know is, I plan to peruse this website many times and refresh myself with the story while I re-read the actual books. Good times.

Hi all, long time lurker here, an Irishman in exile in Greece. Been reading WOT since about 2002 only, very much a Tolkien and Gemmell fan before that, these days its George (will he ever write another book) RR Martin. Graduated onto here via WOT Faqs (I STILL think Graendal was not an "instinctive" suspect and Jordan was influenced as is Sanderson by fan theories ruling in/out things by analysing every little detail but that's my personal bugbear). Anyway I'm fascinated as I'm sure we all are in how Sanderson can finished all these threads in one book, what will be left out? What will be important? What will have us all frustrated? It'll be sad to know its THE END…

Hello, I'm TheEmuReborn and thought I'd introduce myself before I do anything else on dragonmount. Let's see, well I'm 16 and the only WoT book I've read so far was The Eye of the World. I never heard of The Wheel of Time before until my older step-brother introduced me to it, calling it "the best fantasy series ever" and "better than The Lord of the Rings". I didn't think much of it at first and forgot about it for a while, until Christmas of '09, when I was 15, where he bought me the The Eye of the World, The Great Hunt, & The Dragon Reborn in the Mass-Market Packerback Trilogy Set. I looked at the Cover Art for TEotW and was interested in it, although a …

Good day to you. At first, my forum name is HeadAche01, my real name is Alex. When I believe I was 13 I started reading the wheel of time, and everything changed, my life befor WoT seems empty now. Ever since that experience I longed for the next book to be published, and I re-read most of the series a lot. Now, I was just a lurker on these forums, reading posts, but never with the intention of replying, but that has changed now! (I dunno why :D ) WoT is imo one of the best fantasy series ever written, and I think it exceeds ASOIAF, therefore I was delighted when some time ago I read the news that these series would be turned into a movie! It was one of the best d…

Well, the topic title pretty much says it all. I first got introduced to Jordan back in '96. Got hooked right away but only made it through Book 6. Then, sometime around '04, I decided to give it another go. I started over with The Eye of the World, but once again, petered out around Book 6. Then last year, I decided that was it. I was doing this thing. I sat down again, started with The New Spring, and have been going non-stop ever since. For the better part of a year, I've read nothing but Jordan. There was a time there when I put down Book 6 for about 3 months and didn't touch it (I don't know what it is about Lord of Chaos that makes it so difficult for me to get thro…
