Hi all. So, this is what you get for working online day in and day out. I probably spend about 10-11 hours a day working on my laptop, and this is the first time that i even knew about a website designed after one of my favourite series that i have ever come across, WoT has altered my reading experience more than any other saga that i have read, and i have read a few, The Drenai Saga, Riftwar Series, just to name a few. My name is Darrell Bam, and I come from Bedford View in Johannesburg South Africa. Here's to a long and prosperous gathering among WoT fans.

I have just registered on Dragon Mount after lurking for about a year. I have been reading the WOT series since I was 15 in 1990. I don't know anyone else that is into reading much less reading fantasy so I hadnt thought to do a search for an online community until last year, glad I found this and have been happy to read everyone's thoughts, ideas and feelings on the series. I feel like everyone else about the end of the series I think, definitely excited but a little sorrowful to have it finally come to a close after spending the majority of my life waiting for a new book...what will I find to wait on next? Boomshanka!

Hi from Canada! I'm new to DM but I've been reading WoT since I was 12 and once I finish the books I tend to restart all over again (which drives my husband crazy lol) Anyway I just wanted to say hi and how excited I am to FINALLY be around other people who'll know what I'm talking about and share my enthusiasm :D

So, I started reading WoT relatively late, back in 2007, and then dropped it for a while when I couldn't find anything past the second book, and then started reading it again in 2009. I really love the series most of the time and I'm glad to be part of this community.

Hi everyone! I am new to the site and wanted to say hi! I learned about Wheel of Time last year and have been reading the series non-stop. I am still about halfway through and I am so very in love with this series. I started off with reading a New Spring and then Eye of the World and so on. I was so shocked to find out that Suian was the Arymalin in EotW. I think most people usually are not because they read that book first. So that is my unique perspective on the story. I am looking forward to making some great friends here and becoming a part of this community!

So I joined this forum yesterday and I haven't yet looked around much. However, I seem oddly drawn. I have a very critical eye to the designs of websites, and I very much love the design here. But that's getting away from the point. Anyways, Hi! My [screen] name is Kestral and I'm a fantasy nerd. I love the Elder Scrolls and Lord of the Rings, and I'm beginning to love WoT. I also love Dragon Age, for it is a incredibly rich fantasy world with great game play. I also seem to classify many types of nerds, but the biggest, in my opinion, would be Fantasy vs. Sci-Fi. They are both good genres, but I'm sure everyone holds one genre over the other. I like Star Wars an…

Hello all, My name is Ray, I'm 32 years old, born and raised in Northern California. Growing up I wasn't really a reader. I completed books purely for a passing grade in school. I was always into RPG type games in either the fantasy or sci-fi genre. It wasn't until I became friends with my teacher in tech school that I really started reading for fun. He'd give me books to read, usually shorter series or stand alone novels. I'd make my way through them kicking myself for not reading more growing up. It was a wonderful thing finding a focus for my overactive imagination. After graduating, my reading tapered off. He had given me Eye of the World to read …

Hi all! After lurking around here for awhile I´ve decided to jump right in. Been reading the WoT since 1997 I think. I actually picked up the book when I was 11 but after reading the back of it, it sounded lame . But the front cover stayed in my mind and 2 years later I finally picked up the first book. After a break for a year or so I´m on my way rereading the series again, currently just started tFoH. Realized how much I´ve missed the WoT world. Read all the books up until ToM. And a superhello to all Swedes

Kia Ora everybody, I'm Pantherus from New Zealand (also known as 'Middle Earth' ;)) I'm 27, Married, with two young daughters. I've been reading WoT since I was at High School when my friend introduced me to it - I think Path of Daggers had just come out around the time I started reading...that's about 10-12 years ago...right? Read the books up to Path of Daggers then forgot about it...then on a trip I found 4 of the books (Dragon Reborn -> Lord of Chaos) for sale cheap 2nd-Hand so bought them and started reading (yes, restarted from Book #3 :)) and continued to buy the next book as I found them - including New Spring in there somewhere. Eventually fin…

Hello everyone. I am new to forums in general. My first two (and only) forum profiles ever are on here and Time-Waster's Guide. I started reading WoT about a year ago and just caught up with ToM last night. I can't wait for aMoL, like everyone, and I am looking forward to/dreading finishing this series.

Hi there I only started reading WOT at the end of January but I'm already up to The Gathering Storm. I find the books incredibly engrossing and well written and full of great characters. I'm really glad I found this series because I felt really disappointed by the end of the Malazan Book of The Fallen and desperately needed something to take away the sting. My favourite characters (at the moment) are: Mat-- I found him really annoying in the first few books but he's probably in my top three right now. Perrin-- Really liked his character ever since The Dragon Reborn. When he met Faile. Rand-- I guess you have to like him, but he became a lot …

Hi, just saying hello - new to this board. I've been reading WoT since I was a junior in high school (which was eons ago)...my enthusiasm for the series ebbed and waned over the years, but I kept on reading. Can't believe we have finally gotten to the end. Nice to see that some characters have FINALLY accepted their changed roles. I think at one point I almost abandoned the series because they characters were so annoyingly unchangeable! Things have definitely gotten interesting again though. Almost finished reading ToM...I will be interested to read about everyone's thoughts on it. What a long journey this has been with this series! Nice to meet everyone. …

Hi everyone, I discovered EOTW at my local library 9 months ago. I was walking by a shelf and liked the pic on the cover (it was the paperback) so I read the back cover, saw a reference to Tolkien in one of the reviews (I also loved reading Tolkein's books) and decided to check it out. I immediately became hooked and read all the books straight through (about 3 weeks per book) and now that I finished TOM 2 weeks ago, I am in serious withdrawal. They have New Spring at the library, but I am saving that one for the last couple of weeks before the last book comes out. Does anyone have any other fantasy book series that is similar to the Tolkien or Jordan/S…

Deep from the Mines of Moria I arise from my sleep to see the world of...what? Whaddya mean I'm in the wrong story? I can't go to my summer home in Winterfell? Huh? I'm in bandland? I hated bandcamp! It was...Ohhhhh, Randland! Excuse me everyone Ahem! Take two! I started the Wheel of Time back in the summer of 2009 so my first real wait for a book was for ToM. I'm an avid fantasy reader and I am also reading Leigh's WoT reread. Cheers Everyone! Smittyphi

Hey everyone, just registered and logged in after coming to this site and reading incessantly for months. Excited to be able to thought jockey with the big kids. Anyway, that's my hello, and here is a question. Has anyone ever noticed that Lews Therin could also be read Lose-There-In? Like there was never a chance in the first place....Anyone ever seen that discussed? Just wondering.
