Introduce Yourself

If you're new to Dragonmount, stop in and introduce yourself!

  1. Started by IzaliaFox,

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum (obviously). I have read all the WoT books so far. My favorite Character is Mat, followed closely by Perrin. I like the new author (can never remember his name for some reason) I find his writing is similar to RJ's.

Hello. One of my friends introduced me to the series and I'm currently reading Eye of the World at the moment. I'm about halfway through and I'm pretty excited for what's to come. I wish I didn't have to school coming up soon so that I can finish reading all the books before I pick up a copy of Towers of Midnight. I'm a little stubborn like Egwene but I like the character of Moiraine :D Thom is all fun and I can't help but think Matt needs to keep quiet now and then ;P

I just recently signed up here like ten minutes ago. I was a frequent lurker on WOTism before it shut down, but I doubt anyone who knew me there would remember me, so a fresh name is just as well. I'm a junior in high school with an anti-hero complex. As such, my hormones are running wild. I like to role play, and it infuriates me that tabletop rpgs aren't more popular. I've been trying to get into Dungeons and Dragons, but none of my female friends ever want to, and I want to feel somehow better than a Hollywood nerd in a cape or something. I'm a stubborn advocate of obscenities, blasphemies, and anything that offends people. I figure, words are just words. It ta…

Peeps, hi!! This is the very first Shaiel (woe to her who took my name). I just did a re-read and thought I'd pop by and see if any of the seriously long ago crew was around, esp the Chicago faction. Mazzy, Megan, Justin, Empy, Kat, Jason, you lot - are you still around? I can't believe its been almost ten years! Are you guys still here? I am still in contact with Furry and our insane Aussie friend, who I only remember by his real name now. :p Love to catch up with the rest of you guys!! ~Rochelle

In 2006 I first laid my hands upon, one of the roberts books, I have not been able to put it down since, I remember, it being a late afternoon, sunset low, a cool chill in the are, the smell of fresh air after a light drizzle, the freedom for my soul to float in ecstacy, the calm before the storm was setting in, the passion of a first love that was rekindled, the break of new dawn was setting in for a glorious feast, reserved for the chosen one, the dragon reborn, me, for I am Al Thor

If there are any other new users or fans looking, this does contain SPOILERS! Hey, just started reading these about a year and four months ago. I got the first book for my birthday in 2009 and thought it would be something I'd never be into. I immediately looked at the cover and said, "It looks like some Medieval bullcrap." But I guess the saying "Never judge a book by its cover" really paid off, because right after Winternight in 'The Eye of the World' things got extremely interesting, and now I'm on book nine and loving it. I'm just amazed by how epic this series really is. It's very complex, and sometimes something almost negligible turns up in one book, and three …

My son got me totally addicted to these books. In the past six months I have been through them 2xs. Then send billion of texts and call to him asking questions. I JUST finished Towers of Midnight and I think I just may go back to page one again. I have the whole set in a audible format too, so maybe I will just start from book one again. LOL!!

Hi, My name is Kanable. I am a fervent reader of The Wheel of Time and have read up to 8 twice. The reason for reading only up to 8 is that due the plethra of information in the books, I couldn't remember what happened in the first book. As there is information in the 1st book that relates to the others, I felt it would be advantageous to restart. I am currently on A Crown of Swordsand hope to finish the series(what there is of it) before I leave for college. I think it will be quite fun to participate in the forums and hope to be able to contribute as well. Thanks, Kanable

I started reading the series last year when I received book 1 as a gift. I've been looking forward to participating in the forums, but was afraid that I may stumble across something I hadn't read yet, so I avoided this website until now. I just finished Book 13 today and now am at a loss. The characters have been a part of my bedtime ritual for the past year, its hard to believe I may have to wait another year now to know how it ends! But I'm looking forward to getting to know you all now :)

Greetings, fellow WoT fans. :) *bows* I've not read the introductions of anybody else, and so do not know what is expected of me. I'll give it a go, though. ^_^ Lessee...I've read all thirteen? Fourteen? Anyways, all of the WoT books so far, and loved them. How could somebody not? I also dabble in writing somewhat, myself, and so if you play your cards right you might get to see some of my work. ;) If I join one of the RP's on here, then you'll definitely see some of my work. :) I frequent a website called the Spore Games Board, where we participate in RP's, CYOA's, Spore Games, and myriads of other fun activities. The drawback? There's a maximum of a dozen …

from my attempt to win a signed copy of TOM on Tor/Forge's blog contest in November: "Growing up through elementary school I was a huge book worm – in 6th / 7th / 8th grade I read lots of young adult fiction from the paper-back racks in our school library. They never really lasted very long, usually a week at the most. This was a real bummer because I always wanted the story to go on forever. One summer day my parents came home from a yard sale and my Mom had a stack of extremely thick books she presented to me. She said it was the beginning of a series she thought I would enjoy. What she had brought home was EotW, small paper-back, tGH large paper-back, tDR, hard-cov…

Well, I made this account yesterday so I figured maybe I should actually post instead of browse. Where better to start than an introduction. So, hi! I'm Aeacides, I've been a WoT fan since I started High School, ten years ago. In general I'm a huge fantasy fan, but I'd say Mr. Jordan is the only author to ever equal Tolkien. Anyway, a little bit about me. I like to read, fantasy as I said. But I also like to game so yes...Hi!
