Hi! I used to be a member of Wotmania (under this same Handle). This is the first time I've visited Forums since about a year or two before wotmania shut down, so please be patient with me. I am a grad student, studying History, in Texas. I love Wheel of Time (obviously), but also love RPGs, movies, several television shows, history (duh, I'm so Brown Ajah it isn't funny). I have two mini schnauzers, no kids, and a husband who thinks the WoT is crazy. I'm pretty much only on the boards and stuff when I do readthroughs of the WoT. Working on one anticipating Towers of Midnight, currently in Path of Daggers.

Hello all. I'm obviously a huge fan of the Wheel of Time series and everytime I do a search for anything WoT, I see this website. So, I thought this would be the best place to hang out and talk about Jordan's awesome world.

Never really posted here before because I never really had much to add to the discussion. I sure enjoy reading it though. :) I first picked up Wheel of Time when Shadow Rising was first into hardcover. I don't have enough money to just pick up and read everything I want to read, so I tend to wait for a vote of confidence from someone I know and trust before I do. So...I was hooked pretty much instantly. Well, maybe 150 pages in. Through the years I've been alternately exhilarated and frustrated out of my mind with Mr. Jordan. I was immensely saddened when he passed, and I put most of the series onto a shelf i never look at after his death, just blithely assumin…

Hi everybody! I love the Wheel of Time. I haven't been a fan for as long as most, but I have read through it twice save for Knife of Dreams and The Gathering Storm. I have dabbled in many aspects of the mythos like the tabletop RPG and designing armies for the miniature game system "Hordes of the Things." I find myself lost in it sometimes. Anyways, I have gotten into graphic design and have begun cutting vinyl decals for vehicles, walls, appliances, and what have you. I also have begun making T-shirts. I come to you, WOT community, to offer my services for those of you who may be interested. I have a shop over at Etsy (pegbeard.etsy.com) and I have signed up to jo…

I know right? I picked up the first book in June and loved it to bits. I was looking for some form of epic fantasy as I'd read so many of the usual stuff. Terry Prachett, Eragon, etc. I loved this series so much that I got the next book, and the next and before I knew it I was up to book 12 within 6 weeks I read each one in about 3 days. Constant reading almost. The series is just so much more excellent than anything else really I've read. And the story just got better and better, (apart from 7,8 and 9. naturally). But it really picked up for book 10. 11 was absolutely excellent. I got the feeling of a stew that was finally coming to the boil and the aroma being released …

Hello. Just wanted to take a moment to greet everyone, and state that I'm very excited to be a part of this community! I have been reading WOT since the early 90's, Around the time TSR was released. It's been a rollercoaster ride, which is in keeping with the rest of my life. My interests are broad, and I consider myself a man with many facets. Some of my larger passions include: writing odd fiction, art of all sorts, music, from Bach-Slayer; from electonic music- organic folk... and most genres in between. There's a special place in my heart for Goth, and Drum n bass. I am Fascinated with Metaphysics and psychic phenomenon, including crystals, Tarot, dowsing, etc.…

The name is Pat. I live here with my wife and cat. Aimee is her name, short and cute. Unfortunately at this moment, a mute. Zeke is his, fluffy and grey. A gift from Aimee's parents (yayz!) Aimee's obsession, these books have been. Now my own obsession begins. If you seek to know my further life, post a response or ask my wife.

I just wanted to say hi to anyone out there, I joined DM in mid september but have only just had chance to sit down and look at the site properly. I found the WOT series in 2001 and have been addicted since, althought it takes me a very long time to read each book as i have had reading problems since i was a child. I have never let this stop me reading books it just means i don't read as many as i would like. I am also new to forums but i'm sure i'll muddle through, i like what i see so far. Anyway, thanks for listening if anyone is and HI.

I started reading WoT around '98. The latest book that was out was Crown of Swords, so whenever that would have been. I've been nuts over it ever since. Found Brandon Sanderson when it was announced that he would be taking over the Wheel after RJ's passing. Shortly after that (and I mean like days or a week maybe) Tor.com posted an ebook version of Sanderson's Mistborn: Final Empire. I was hooked and convinced that the series was in very good hands. I'm proud to say that I've been a believer from the start. :) Anyway, I've been lurking on Dragonmount for a long time. How long, I'm not quite sure but it's more than 6 years. I saw a retweet about the Writer's Guild…

Hey I started reading the Wheel of time series about two years ago, I had originally had the Eye of the world a good while before that but I was to young to ever really get into it. About two years ago I pulled a book from beneath my bed and blew the dust off, It was 'The eye of the world' had you not already guessed. I started to slowly delve into its pages and became more and more taken. I quickly ran my way through the series wondering how they could get any better or bigger for that matter. They became so detailed and so expansive. A whole new world for me to explore. Not long after I hit a knife of dreams and as per usual went out to the local bookshop to procure…

Hello everyone! I'm Lessa nikia and I live in Canada. I'm currently in my junior year of high school and it is going well. I started reading the WOT series last January and finished up to book 12 in July. I can't wait for the next one to come out this month.:) so that is pretty much it and I can't wait to start posting comments on the forums.

This is not my first post on dragonmount, but it is about time to introduce myself. I'm a 30 year old male from Denmark, I dabble in politics (local) and I have read WoT for running on 10 years, having reread the series from EotW to WH 6 or 7 times, and one reread for each subsequent installment apart from TGS (where I only read KoD as the rest of the books were in storage during moving). I just picked up EotW tonight to start a new reread (with focus on when the BA is mentioned first, last time it seemed Rand just knew about them during he fever period) and opening my 2nd EotW paperback (having worn out my first copy) I felt more moved than ever before by the ser…

Hello, I started reading The Eye of The World back in 1995, and have been hooked on WoT ever since. In the past I have been more than happy to wait for a new book to be released, buy it and spend the next 3 days reading it, but as the series is drawing to an end I find that I can't wait like I normally do. Having read the prologue and the two chapters, I find the only thing that can help me through the next month is reading the thoughts and ideas here. I wish I had come here a long time back.

Hello lovely forum of joy! *waves* My fiance introduced me to WoT about, oh...three years ago? Read four of the books, but then got consumed by other cares, and years passed me by, not unlike a certain familiar wind. I returned to the series a few months back, determined to get myself caught up. And now here I am, just a day after finishing The Gathering Storm (and, goodness, here we are, only a month shy of the release of The Towers of Midnight!), thoroughly obsessed and seeking an outlet. I'm so used to immediately jumping in to the next book that the thought of waiting four weeks (are you SERIOUS?!?!) is making me...well...a bit twitchy. I can't imagine what it's b…

When you feel like all your geekdomness wants to pop out at once and say, "Gaah!!O.O;" You almost don't know how to react, like the first time you meet that special someone, or when the fat guy actually does have to bend over to grab something. Well, this is my hello to all you wotmania peoples here on Dragonmount. I have no idea what has taken me so long to become a member here, and was just thinking about that when I decided, "What the hell, I'm an admitted nerd of it anyways!" A little background on my WoT history: I have read all the books, I own the Wheel of Time Encyclopedia, I am an avid role player and have filled up gigs of role plays with other friends …

I have seen this site change over the past 6 years and have been an avid fan of the Wheel of Time series since its debut. This site has always been the first site I come to for instense analysis over the books since I first saw it so long ago. I do not know why it has taken me this long to become a member but at least here I am. I lok forward to the finality of the series and to begin to enjoy a re-read that will literally span the whole lapse from Rands discovery to the last battle. So on with it then and as Mat is fond of saying "Time to toss the dice"

Long time reader of the best fantasy series. Been reading since about 1997 I think. But for some reason never signed up to forums, I read them and love the theories and view points of people. About me, I am from the UK, I'm 45 not married. I have all the books in tree format and up to WH in Kindle format. Trying to get up to date for ToM. I love the rich history and background of WoT but, i have difficulty remembering a lot of it due to short term memory problems which makes sites like this superb for me as I can use it as a tool to remember stuff easier.

I have been reading and re-reading the Wheel Of Time series for so long they are like old friends. I, unfortunately, have been out of touch for a few years and was saddened to learn of Mr. Jordan's death. I'm happy to learn that the stories will live on and am excited to read what this new author is going to make of them. Sume

Well hey everyone, i'm Jordan and i've been a WoT fanatic now for about 6 years although for some stupid reason i've lurked the forums here for 3 ish years and never actualy joined. Silly me I'm here for the pure, brutal wheel of time discussions, who did what? who is who?...that kinda stuff. i've already made a few posts in and around the discussion boards before introducing myself...i'm actualy pretty familliar with the way things run around here ( i think ) but i'm ready to just fire into the debating. My fave WoT books are The Shadow Rising and The Fires Of Heaven, seriously i just love the Aiel. I'm one of the few (i've met) who still think that …

Hello everyone, I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. Like many of you I love the world of fantasy. One of the main reason for this is the clear line in the sand it draws between good and evil. It tackles common problems of the human condition unapologetically and none have done so more than The Wheel of Time series. I also am drawn to the world of fantasy due to artistic leanings. I love to draw, paint, sculpt and fantasy has no boundaries for people like me. With all that being said my water is yours and may you all find water and shade.

Hey all, I just finished reading the preview chapter of Towers of Midnight, and I'm severely pissed. It is unimaginably cruel to leave it where it left off. I am not anywhere as mad as I was when I heard RJ had died leaving his books unfinished (I actually think Brandon Sanderson is a better writer so it worked out), but I now must wait more than a full month to read the new tome... and of course another year before I the story is finished. Anyway, cheers and I hope everyone is ready for a great book. Mike

G'day everyone, I've been a fan of The Wheel of Time from the first time I picked up Eye of the World in 1991 and read the blurb on the first page.Since then Ive been hooked. In high school all those many years ago I hated reading until leaving school and discovering sci fi and fantasy. So I'm going to take this opportunity in thanking the Sci Fi writing community and in particular Robert Jordan.Without them the world would be very dull, and like me my children would never have found the joy in reading.
