Hi there! My warder and I enjoyed the WoT track at Dragon*Con so much, that I thought I'd try my hand at the site. I never do these things, so it took me months to get registered. I read all the books once, but I'm on book 4 the second time. I found that I forgot an amazing amount. I was going through a very rough patch the first time I read them and they got me thru in some ways. Will probably mostly lurk, but I plan to have fun. Juila Sedai

Hello all.. I'm new to these forums. I've been coming to Dragonmount for years though. I've been an avid reader of the WOT series since I first picked up the books my senior year of highschool. That was 10 years ago now... wow time flies. I've been checking this site to get all my news and used to frequently read the old WOT FAQ. I'm glad this site has been around because it helped me to learn so much more about RJ and respect him as more then just an author. Hey Everyone Been a recent WOT fan(atic) - few years I would say, and while I have listened to the series three times I have never actually read one sentence in the book. Incredible, something I will have to remedy. The audio books are incredible of course, looking forward (with only some apprehension) to the audio version of book 12.

Having just found out about The Gathering Storm being released at the end of the month, I (of course) pre-ordered my copy and had an intense desire to get back to Dragonmount, get a refresher on the material I hadn't read in awhile, and perhaps revisit the RP boards. The site sure has changed quite a bit since the last time I was here, but I can see the helpful and friendly attitude certainly hasn't. Glad to be back! :) P.S. There's still RP right?? ;)

Just wanted to stop by and say Hi. I'm a long time fan of the series, have read it five times, going for the sixth now. I'm usually not a forum person, but with the approaching publishing of TGS i got caught by the WOT mania again. So i'm looking forward to read about what theories ppl have, and share my own.

Hi everyone, My habit has been to do a complete re-read before the release of each book. Therefore I’ve read the first 5 or 6 a disturbingly large number of times. Then, in my need to discuss, I’ve turned to WOTMania as none of my friends and family are fans. Since I’ve never been active except immediately preceding and following each book release I was shocked to find no more WOTMania :'(. So, thanks for giving us a landing page. Completely cliche, I know, but it's almost impossible not to be. I picked up TEotW midway through this summer reluctantly, but then greedily devoured the next 10 books within a month and a half. It has been just a fact of life for me that The Lord of the Rings is the best series out there, period, ever since I read it. But I have found that I like the Wheel of Time even more. Since I no practically no one who has read the books, I decided to join this forum to satisfy my WoT obsessions. :)

I happened to stumble across the wheel of time series while i was in barns and noble because i got a new job that gave me alot of free time...so i get paid to read robert joran!! pretty much an amazing thing. Before i started reading these books i had read one book in my life..but i am in love with this series...i am at work right now to be honest but i just finished part 1 of book 2 and i dont have part 2!! i am at a loss...what am i to do for the rest of the day?

One of my sons has been a big fan for many years and finally got the rest of us to take a look at the series. In fact my youngest son (I have four), used to give us a hard time when we would discuss things from the series, but after working with his father on a job and listening to one of the audiobooks, he's now working his way through them and joins in on the discussions. I've been a fan of the books for a while, but I was also a fan (and moderator) for another book series forum.
