Introduce Yourself

If you're new to Dragonmount, stop in and introduce yourself!

  1. Started by Quercus,

I am a huge WOT fan, and I have greatly enjoyed all of the books. I am new to the forums, but I have been reading them for years. I am an avid hiker and I love the outdoors. The books, among other things, inspired to learn western martial arts, which I love. I also happen to be a jack of all trades. I enjoy woodworking, cooking, wine making, haberdashery, and anything else that tickles my fancy. I am excited to meet people who have the same interests that I have.

Hi All I'm from England, so abit of a time difference to most of you! I started reading the WoT books when I was at university and loved them. I RP'd for a while on another site, but haven't been WoT obsessed for a few years now. However, I recently read Book 11, and found out a new book is coming out in the autumn, and decided to look into WoT forums again. I found this one and it looks pretty active and well organised, I look forward to RPing here! Will work on my character bio and hope to start posting more soon!

  3. Started by Durfee,

Hello, all. I'm Hunter, I'm 19 and I am currently reading the fifth book in the series (The Fires of Heaven). I just registered at the Game of Stones as well. I can't wait until the first of the books that make up A Memory of Light arrives this fall, although I doubt I will have finished all of the others before then. EDIT: Well, after reading some of the others intro posts, I figured I'd add a little more. I'm currently aiming for a Spanish and Education double major, and I have a 4.0 GPA entering my second year of college. I just finished chemotherapy in February, after my leukemia relapsed, and I have way too many fantasy novels on hand at the moment to know what …

  4. Hello, I've been lurking here for a while but never signed up for some reason. I felt intimidated by some people's knowledge of the books... I felt like a nub. Anyways just thought I would post here as well. Hope to make some friends on here. Seems like a nice little community.

Hey there guys, my name is Adas and as you can no doubt tell, I'm very new to the site. Stumbled upon Dragonmount.com while I was looking for information on RJ - I'm doing my grade12 ISU Author Celebration project on him. Either way, just thought I'd say hey to everyone ;D

  7. I just started reading this series last November/December. On book 4 now (I'm a deliberate reader), and am absolutely in love with this series so far. Ran out and purchased the #0 comic that just came out last week, and am excited about all future endeavors into the Wheel of Time world. I probably won't be wandering these forums much yet, because I don't want to read any accidental spoilers - but may pop in now in then until I finish the series (which probably won't happen for another year).

Heya, new here, I'm a vet to Forums in general but never this board in particular. I've been a big fan of RJ since 98'. The Eye of the World was the first Fantasy book i've ever read and changed my life really. Since RJ's death i've re-read the whole series for the third time now. and with the news of a WOT MMO, console game and movie found myself looking for others who are as into the books as I am. Thanks.

Oh and also normal colored beaches, not that black sand most of you people probably have. ;D Uhm, yeah I've been reading Wheel of Time since, what? Two years? Three years? 12. Started by Zophiel,

Hey y'all! I'm glad to be here with all of you. I've been a fan of WoT since the early ninties, which means I can truly say "Most of my life." I'm really excited about joining the orgs and having fun with everyone! I got my bachelor's degree in Music Education, now work for the military, have just re-read all the WoT books in my collection (which, distressingly, is missing book eleven! Arg, the cliffie is driving me nuts!), and have an undying love of manga, fanfics, ninjas, and fruit bats (sooo cute!). Umm. . .what else. . . oh yeah, I'm a chick who hates chick flicks, Terminator 2 was the first movie to make me cry, and I think Narishima is coolest Asha'man EV…

Hi everyone! I'm new here, but I'm not new to the WoT online fandom - I'm also on TarValon.net, where I'm an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah and also go by the name of Cealestis. I'm really going to try to get into this site this time, I've tried before and found it all very confusing but I'll do my best. I hope some of you can help me a bit :p Looking forward to get to know Dragonmount and the members! Cea

I am Rhalurn of the Jhirad Goshien, may you find shade this day. I'm a WoT enthusiast, as you might gather. I'll probably spend more time reading all the fascinating theories that contributing, but hopefully that won't last long when i get to know you guys more. I'll look forward to maybe some rp storylines and fanfiction if you guys do that, i think you do (i would go check but i'm being lazy). I look forward to sharing the forum with you all, perhaps i will gain some near-brothers and sisters over time. May you always find water and shade.

Hi everyone! My name's Dan and I've been a fan of Robert Jordan since the beginning of the series. I've been waiting for someone to make TEOTW into a movie for a dozen years now, and about 2 years ago I got tired of waiting and decided to do it myself. So I am now, thanks to RJ, a full time student at the Art Institute of Pittsburg working on a degree in Media Arts and Animation. Of course, now they decide they're finally going to make a movie out of it, but that's ok...I'm still going to make my own. That being said, I am going to need some help. I know some years ago DM started working on animating the prologue. I want to re-start that project. I would appre…

  19. Right I have been told by David Hermes to write and post a brief description of myself so, here it is: My nickname here is Koujin (not telling my real name ;D) I am 15 years old, am i the youngest?? I live in England and am currently in year 10 but there is only 2 weeks and 2 days so its all cool, woohoo so it means I can relax. I don't read as much as others but only because I am a bit picky and like books like The Spooks (Wardstone Chronicles) and Artemis Fowl. BUT I love Mangas, and I've read many online, some complete and some still updating. More importantly I like poetry, and so I like to write my own. I've read poem books but not the whole book, just some th…

Hello all. I've been a reader of Wot since I was about 13 (8 years ago). I've read them up to Winter's Heart 3 or 4 times. Unfortunatley I've been away from my beloved other world for many years. I'm finally going to buy the whole series again and start over and make it to The Gathering Storm and wait anxiously for Brandon to finish the other 2. Great forum. I look forward to reading and writing here often in the coming years. Blood and bloody ashes, I've missed this stuff.

I am also writing my own fantasy book, a trilogy actually, called The Ormrstones trilogy. I am currently reading Lord of Chaos the sixth book in the WoT series and would love to discuss the series with fans!

Hi everyone! My name is Josh and I'm a long time fan of the series, but I'm new here. I've been listening to the podcast for the last few months...think I'm almost done my second time through them all. I could talk WoT for hours lol. A little about me... I've read the entire series once, but I've probably read the first 5 or 6 books around 6 times as I would re-read them as new ones came out. tFoH was the last book out when I started, so I guess I've been reading them since 1994. I've also listened to the entire series on audiobook twice now (long commutes are SOOO much fun), and I'll pry start them again soon to get ready for tGS. Mat is hands down my favorite character,…

Well howdy there. I have been lurking around for a month of so or now, reading topics and the like. I must say I've read some very interesting theories, and many have tickled my fancy. Also gauging some views on The Gathering Storm. As such, I decided to finally join and share my own (crazy) views. As for other stuff, I'm from Australia and in my final year of high school. Started reading the series back in Grade Eight and got hooked, though my interest started waning as I progressed through, the books seemed to drag on to a degree. Though I must say that I understand a lot more now then I did then ;P As of late, my interest was reinvogorated with anticipation …
