Hello to DM. I was semi-active here a few years ago, but I would be beyond surprised if there's anyone here that remembers me or any of my very underdeveloped chars. Am currently awaiting bio approval for the Warders Div, and thought I might pop by and introduce myself. So...hi.

I remember posting here along time ago but can not remember or find my old user name or pass. I was not the most active but had posted from time to time. the last few times was of A game engine that I felt had to be used to properly capture the world of “The wheel of Time” with videos of another game that used this setup. Dark and Light. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6G5PAmewXHI Any ways I had a lot of fun in this game all one world no zones and one server world wide. Loved the way we could see for miles in this game. It would be so cool to have this type of setup for The wheel of time. To see the white tower from a distance. Or…

so, i kinda introduced myself like....several months ago on here, but I have not been posting. At all. At that time, I hadn't even read the first book yet...so I wasn't really interested too much...I merely logged on at the...promptings...of my dear sister, Meesh. You all know her. You all know how...pushy she can be. ;D But right now, I am about 1/3 of the way through The Fires of Heaven, and I absolutely find myself addicted. So, again at the promptings of my sister, but a bit more willingly, I'm coming back. So I felt like re-introducing myself. Hi!!! Seeing as how i choose a...less than lovely screen name, you(if you so desire) can just call me CJ. I…

So I'm new here. I am a WoT fan, but more of a Chicago Cubs and Phish phan, hence the name. I study chemistry and Spanish at a large university in North Carolina. I like Mat, I don't like Faile.

  10. Started by Myder Avery,

I guess its about time I got involved. I've been a WoT fan since, um 2004/05 when I read the first page of TEotW. I was hooked straight away. I finished TEotW in about 5 days then slowed down and read it again. I got through all the books in about a month each and Mum got me KoD for Christmas'05. I really pity all the older fans who had to wait on 10 release dates and are still waiting on AMoL, I got to read everything in one hit (minus AMoL obviously.) I cant stand the wait so I cant imagine how long time readers felt. I hope I can provide some valuable contributions to this venerable community and I wish you all good reading.

Hello all, I just recently finished reading Knife of Dreams and was hunting around for some info on the next book and stumbled on DragonMount. I saw u guys even had ur own podcast and I've been listening to it all day today :D its good to hear awesome theories and discussion with people who have as much, if not more enthusiasm and love for the WoT series as I do. I hope to become a steady member of this established community. I hope to meet a lot of new and like minded people with whom I can discuss and rant about the books, sadly my friends have not read any of the books as the sheer size of them was too daunting. Anyways I'll cut this short, Have a good day everyone and…

Hello, this is Canadian Tire Money. Compared to most people here I am lucky. I started reading WOT in august of '08 when a friend at work lent me the books. I almost stopped reading after EOTW because it didn't interest me, but I opened up TGH anyways and I've loved the rest of it. I'm currently on TDR on my second read through. My head is full of idea's and this seems like the best place to let them out. Thom is probably my favourite character in the series, though I like almost all of the characters in one way or another. The only character I really don't like is Elaine. Hopefully she dies soon. The only other thing of note is that I am relatively new t…

Hail Dragonmount! It's always nice to connect with people who share common interests. I've been an active reader of the site for some time now, but last night I got the feeling that I'm not enjoying all of it. So I made the obviosly great choice of joining this community! I'm sure I will have many unforgettable moments with you.

Well since I never knew this existed it was quite a surprise for me to find this site while searching for the release date of the next book. I have been a fan of this series since I first picked up the wheel of time in 92. Very happy to see so many others with the same passion for the series that I have.

Hi Everyone, While I am new to posting on Dragonmount, I have been an active lurker for a few years. I always enjoyed reading different people's post on the discussion boards. I regularly bounce between Dragonmount and Brandon Sanderson's web site to get news, read the blogs and follow the discussions. I am a long time Sci Fi / Fantasy reader. My first time through reading WOT, I finished reading Knife of Dreams within a week of Mr Jordan passing away. That was a big blow to me at the time since I did not know if the series would be completed. I was glad to know that another author was chosen to finish it but I was wary. I then checked out Brandon's web site and read…

  18. Hello everyone! I'm a pretty big fan of the series so far... It might have already surpassed Lord of the Rings and His Dark Materials for my favorite fantasy series. I finished The Fires of Heaven day before yesterday, and am about 200 pages into Lord of Chaos. I'm a little worried though; I've heard the series slows down considerably after the 6th book. I've heard that there is just too much going on at once, and the it takes forever for anything to happen. So my question is, should I continue through to the end of the series, or just read a detailed plot summary or the rest of the books? Are the rest of the books as unbearable as I've been told (I sure h…

Finally joined, happy I did. I've looked at this site often, along with Wotmania, to check on certain theories and such, but finally got around to actually joining it. Hopefully I'll manage to be an active and beneficial member of this long sought for community, once I wade through some of the stuff in here... Much larger than I would have thought :o... But I'm fully certain I will love being a part of this wondrous place once I settle in properly :D.

Hi everyone, just joined up. I'm looking forward to discussing my favorite books with all of you. None of my friends have read them despite my efforts to get them to do so. I first read the eye of the world and the great hunt which I got as a present about 5 years ago. I wasn't too big on it in the beggining, but I decided to get the dragon reborn after and was hooked with that installment. I've since read through the series 5 or 6 times now (with a new appreciation for the first two) and just can't believe all the things that are hinted about that don't come into play sometimes much later on. Not to mention all of characters. definately some of the best book…

Hi. I'm new to the site but an old fan(6 years I believe)of the books. Yes I came to the series late but I am as avid a fan as a the older readers are. I got the seires all the way up to number 9 for my birthday from my dad one year and we both waited for the next one out. I now have all of the book including The World of The Wheel of Time and I can't wait for A Memory of Light to come out!

  23. Started by Lordie,

Another Norwegian drifts to the Dragonmount forums after the announcement of Red Eagle Games about WoT themed MMO being developed. I'm a 29 year old fart that lives in Norway's capital Oslo. My main interests are video games in general, and I'm a huge fan of MMORPGs (doh!). Speaking of MMORPGs, my 1st experience was Asheron's Call 1, after some years there I moved onto Star Wars Galaxies. When Sony Online Entertainment screwed up the game I went to World of Warcraft. However, WoW didn't last forever and lost its fun when everyone was just caring about what gear they got (bleh!), so I went back to SWG which I'm currently playing (Europe-FarStar). Other than gam…

I'm not acutally new to this board, I was formerly know as Leopoled Boothe. I just decided I needed an screen name that is relevant to WOT. Just wanted to let everyone know so that there is no confusion and so that anyone who is bearing any old gurdges against me can continue to bear them (LOL).

Hi everyone and happy equinox, I am a 22 year old graduate student studying Traditional Chinese Medicine in the big city... I have been heavily involved into the fantasy genre for quite some years and discovered the WoT series five years ago! I am starting to re-read the series and am on TDR right now, and I think years ago when I stopped I was on book eight-ish. I am always looking for new suggestions on other fantasy books/series to read. I have yet to delve into Sanderson but he is definately next. :) I am into MMORPG's and started with The Realm (way back when) and then onto EQ, then EQ2 and a little WoW.. though I would like to join a more involv…

Long time reader first time poster. So long story short none of you know me. ;D I've read the series about 4 times all the way through. Tried for a while to get an Oblivion make over for the WoT series but it never got off the ground. So to keep this intro simple - I will be at J-Con so I might meet a few of you there. Cant wait for November.

  27. Started by Ola,

Hi everyone! I'm a huge fan of the WoT-series, and I have been reading and re-reading them for 4 years now. I read the first 4 books in Norwegian, and 5-11 in English, and then I re-read the first 4 in English :P. Anyway, I hope that we will have some great discussons about different aspects of the world of the WoT, and that we will get along pretty well.

  28. Started by Tim Sedai,

Hi, i've been lurking around the forums for a bit. I've been reading Wheel of Time for two years now and recently finished Knife of Dreams. I heard about Robert Jordan's passing and I would like to send my regards to the Mrs. Jordan. I heard a Brandon Sanderson will be finishing up the last book. I have never heard of him, but wish him luck on a task I wouldn't trust myself with. There's not many people around my home that have even heard of this epic tale akin to that of Tolkien. And I was wondering if I was alone in the world!!! anyways, here I am, and I hope to have fun and meet all sorts of people. :)
