I posted here a few times ages and ages ago (probably four Third Ages ago it seems at this point), back when the other Wheel of Time forum site was still wotmania.com (before the refugee situation and the diaspora that saw many come here and others of us go to the then newly created readandfindout.com). Yeah, I posted under another name (not sure anymore what name I used, I have had so many online over the decades, same with email addresses). I've been reading and posting about WoT since the summer of 1991 (the year I graduated High School if you can believe that!). Remember those days when we thought for sure Mazrim Taim was Demandred? And that Bela killed As…

Hey Everyone! New reader here. Starting my journey with Eye of the World as we speak so will steer clear of the other areas of the forum for a little while. My name is Graham and I stay in Scotland. Bit of background: I've basically came from Brandon Sanderson (I know, I know) but I've been such a massive fan of the Cosmere that I thought it time to move to a new fantasy setting and where else better! My grandad gave me a copy of EOTW before he passed and I never read it, probably because I was young and had painful memories, but now I think it's time to break down those walls and get going. Apart from the Cosmere, I find myself reading…

Hello all! My name is Charles and I live in St. Louis, MO. I am somewhat new to fantasy, having only read Tolkien in High School. I just finished The Dragon Reborn and will start The Shadow Rising when school calms down. This series has been so good it's hard to put them down! Here's a few quick thoughts after finishing the 3rd book. -Spoiler alert- Perrin is my favorite character thus far, and I am glad we got to see more of him in book 3. Perrin entering the Tal'rhian to save Zarine was beautiful! I am SO GLAD Rand has finally accepted who he is. I cannot wait to see what's in store for him, especially now that he has Callandor. …

10 years since my last visit ... and just in time to take the old girl out for her first drink at the bar ... (if DM was human ... and female ... and would join me for a drink if Jason allowed it). My original name Mazrim Taim, M'Hael of DragonMount. Those who were able to get past the my cranky exterior called me Mazzy. Since my last visit, I've loved and lost several loyal companions (of the K9 variety) and misplaced quite a few human companions. Some of them still wander the halls here ... others have disappeared entirely. I'm hoping to reconnect with those who are still around and dig up a few who might be lurking, so to one and all…

I'm finally joining. I've been reading the forums for quite some time and only now do I really feel ready to discuss the series. I've got a few crackpot ideas in my head that I haven't really seen talked about anywhere, I've seen things get pretty close but not quite in the way it seems in my head. The "big implications" kind of crazy ideas. I won't get into it here but hopefully you all might at least find my ideas entertaining.

Hello, I am new to DM. Have been reading and re-reading the books since i was in high school, sometime in the 90's. I think its great we are finally getting a tv show, but I am also worried when i have seen great series like Shannara bomb out. I hope its released in a timely manner, and also well done. I am somewhat comforted that Sanderson will have input, but honestly would feel better if original author was still here to Shepard this along. I will be waiting anxiously for the premiere!!

I'm nervous as heck about joining this site for some reason @_@ but eager to make friends who also follow the wheel of time series! My name is Chris, but I prefer to be called Sephi.I'm 30 years old and started reading the books about a month or two ago, and I'm at book nine so far. (I'm a wee bit obsessed). I'm not sure what to say, other than that back on the Wheel of Time Reddit, my opinions tend to be somewhat controversial. (especially because I hate the fourth book's first 39 chapters)My favorite character is Perrin, originally due to his wolf abilities but then it grew even further than that because he went to the Two Rivers and rescued it (Which Rand and Mat didn'…

Very excited to find this site and these forums. I've never finished the Wheel of Time. I stopped the first time years ago sometime in The Dragon Reborn. I'm mildly ADD (not being funny - just honest) and often bounce around from one thing to the next. But with the TV series coming up, I decided I needed to finish the books before I got major plot points spoiled. That's how I got through the Song of Ice and Fire books too. I've owned the ebooks for years, and do 90% of my reading on ebooks - had the very first Kindle and never looked back - but sometimes with larger tomes I have a hard time getting through without the tangible feel for where I am in the book. …

Hello fellow WOT - Fans, I just would like to shortly introduce myself to you: Since 1998 I am a big fan of WOT and a dedicated reader of the series! Parts of the books I already re-read countless times and others (honestly) just once depending on my personal liking. Like many of you, I endured years of waiting for new books and while doing so waisting my time (in a positive way) by reading weird, fantastic or finally true theories. I was very very sad when RJ fell ill and unfortunately died and although I am greatful that Brandon Sanderson took up the challenge and finished the books, I still would have preferred to read solely RJ's Version of the story. …

The conclusion of my 10th re-read of the series just happened to tie into the hype surrounding the Prime series mounting (HELLO Barney Harris). And so I find myself turning to internet strangers once again, just like I did in 2000, after I picked up EotW for the first time as a wee 12 year old. Of course, I wasn't on Dragonmount back then, but the OG wheel of time book forum. Anyway. I'm excited to be back, and talking about this beautiful series, dissecting all the fun twists and turns we will still (hopefully) have in store for us as this story unfolds on the silver screen.

I used to be on Dragonmount many years ago, mainly on the RP side. I could not get back into my old account, so I had to start a new one. I have missed this community and am happy to be back. The Wheel of Time series has been a part of my life since an ice storm in the the 1990's when we lost power for several days and I was given book 1. They are the only books that I have continued to read and re-read over and over again. I feel like the books are a part of me and I am happy to be back talking with people who love the books like I do. Formerly, Eqwina (now Crystal)

Howdy, I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself. I've had to stay away from DM for years because I hadn't finished the books and didn't want spoilers. I've been reading since high school, probably 1997 or so. I made various attempts over the years to complete the series, always getting stuck and starting over. I finally finished a few weeks ago and have been enjoying full fandom participation, reading fan theories I haven't been able to read before, and generally loving having completed WOT. I made a screen name here because it's so hard not to weigh in on certain things and now I'll get to!

I just registered. As noted in another thread, I actually used to visit here years ago, after CoT but before KoD. It has been a long time. Hope that all are well. I am doing a re-read and also perusing the Companion for the first time. The Ajimbura entry made me chuckle. My re-read is selective and jumping around, a lot.

Hello there! So, I'm a new member of this forum community. I've been reading stuff for a while now, but haven't actually posted anything before today. I'm a 37yo guy from Finland. I got back to Wheel of time through Nae'blis and Daniel Greene youtube videos which somehow got to my youtube feed. I first started reading Wheel of time back in my teenage years, it must have been around 1998 or somewhere around that time. I started reading in Finnish but I quickly caught up with the translated series and jumped straight to the english ones. They were the first books I ever read in english but I got used to it pretty quick. The first engli…

I read WoT about two years ago, and now I've been struck with the terrible and all-consuming urge to re-read it this summer, so here I am. I'm wondering if my perspectives will change this time 'round. I look forward to talking with all of you and becoming part of this community!

Hello! Lately gotten the hankering to get back in RP'ing and the general hubbub of a community of fans as I just started rereading the series for the...I haven't the slightest clue how many times lol, as well as the news that they've started casting actors for the tv series! (PLEASE DON"T SUCK!) This'll be my first time RP'ing WoT but have had significant experience on other RPF's participating in the past. Looking forward to interacting with this community!

Hi All all 14 books just arrived yesterday and I am 300 pages into the eye of the world.. it’s exhilarating so far. I had been staying away from the series because I had read somewhere of the lotr similarities (which is my favorite world by far) and have been busy with the asoiaf series and the show. I needed to get onto something else to consume that would in turn consume me as well. Finally decided to take the plunge 2 days back. Looking for both guidance on how to navigate this forum as I continue my journey into this world.. as well as fellow travelers who might be also just beginning their journey ..

Good day everyone, i am not sure of where to post this, so i am putting it in the introduction section, i apologise if im doing this wrong. like you i have read a large part of the wheel of time series and am very much enjoying the read (have not yet finished, please no spoilers). now for the reason i am posting here today: i am a bartender and i use a tool called a 'barblade' on a regular basis to open bottles quickly. and i have recently lost my trusty 'vorpalblade' (first image), i use the enrgaving to make sure my colleagues know whose barblade it is. now i have already bought another barblade and i was looking for …

Just wanted to say howdy and introduce myself. I'm over 40 and live in the mid-west. I got started on the Wheel of Time series from the cover of Eye of the World. I love fantasy books and it looked interesting and the jacket description was enough to get me to buy it and I have been a fan ever since. I heard about the forthcoming tv series and it rekindled my interest in the books, so I'm currently re-reading them. This time through I am listening to the audio-books and following along in the books. I am finding out I was wrong on so many different pronunciations when I read the series ? One of my favorite things about the books …

Hey everyone, Mairoh here! I'm a huge fan of the WoT books, although it's been ages since I've read them. Well over a decade at least. I read them all the way through the 11th book, but sadly haven't had the chance to pick up the last three. I know, I know, go to a bookstore, right? But I live out in the country and the nearest library doesn't have them *sigh*. Anyway, I had turned my interest to other book series, and then to my own series (which is still very much a work in progress). But then I saw a thing on youtube about an upcoming WoT TV series and...well, I about **** my pants. Whilst looking up every bit of info I could find, I stumbled across the site, and…
