Hi there you fellow readers. As the title indicates I´m part of a rare breed of people who dwell in the mountainous regions in the middle of Europe (called 'Austria' by some). I´ve been reading the WoT-series for some 3 1/2 years now, starting with the German version, however, starting with the 4th book I switched to English for two reasons: Only the first 3 books are published as German versions, all consecutive English books are split in 2 - 3 volumes in the German version, which, honestly is completely awful (I didn´t have to read one of the split-books, thank god). Also, I study English and naturally have some interest in the language and in reading in it. A…

Hi folks. Just like a few other people I just decided to join dragonmount since wotmania is being closed down. :'( My name is Martin Lanner, and I'm a 28 year old guy from Sweden. Must have been around 12 years ago since my mother gave me Eye of the world. Well all these years later, still waiting with a smile on my face for the last book. Hope to get as much joy out of Dragonmount as i did from wotmania. //Martin

I was registered here a few years ago but I mainly stuck to wotmania :( when I was looking for WoT news. Now I'm back with a new name (can't remember my old name though). I guess I'll be around here for more and more of my WoT news.

Hi everyone. I just joined today. I'm not really sure what to say here. ??? Uh, I started reading WoT in '03, I think, and fell in love! Since then I have read and reread each of the books over and over. Every single time I find something new in them. Believe it or not, these books have helped me understand politics better. I don't know what boards I'll join yet but I have enjoyed reading the posts in the New Member's board. You all seem so friendly. I've been in chat rooms and those were not friendly at all. I look forward to "talking" with other fans/members.

Hi all! I have heard of Dragonmount from several different forums and thought that maybe it was time to check it out myself. I started reading WoT when I was about 13ish and have re-read several times and passed it on to others! I have finally gotten my sister to start reading them and she is in love also. I have never been in RP that much so you may not see me in that section as much but general topics I will gladly join in.

*Wave* A little birdie was whispering to me on Skype... telling me I should come back and check things out. Yes, I am a previous member. I left, on my own terms and didn't get nasty or the like, I just.. posted a goodbye and poof! Well, it's another year and I missed the place. Not so heavily into the RP thing anymore, but I still love the series. Still do my art, still am the same friendly, nerdy video game playing, digital art creating bookworm mama of two. Still stuck over in my little corner of the Cotswolds. I go by Lily, though that's almost always kidnapped before I join or rejoin a community so throwing "moon" in front of it gives me a login I …

  12. Started by Darlakk,

Hey guys, just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. I orinally read the WoT books in high school, and it took me about a year to get through them( It was up to Crossroads of Twilight then.) Recently, I decided to pick it up again, and read New Spring and Knife of Dreams. I was instantly back into it! Since I couldnt remember most of what was going on when I read Knife of Dreams, I decided to go through the old books again, this time on audiobook, so I could listen in the car. Is Mazrim Taim Demandred, or a new Dread Lord? Whats going to happen with Moraine! So many questions burning through my head, I thought I would come here to discuss with people who love the series…

Hi I started reading WoT in 2007 (borrowed the first book from an ex-boyfriend!), and have been addicted ever since. Am currently reading Crossroads of Twilight & am planning to start a reread from the beginning when I've finished Knife of Dreams. Hello! My name is Caitlind (though most people just call me Caitie) and of course, I am new to Dragonmount Forums. I'm originally from Canada, but I recently moved to Ireland. Now, for the Wheel of Time information... I only recently started reading the Wheel of Time series due to the constant pestering of my significant other. I have been reading for about two months now, and I have read New Spring, The Eye of the World, The Great Hunt, and The Dragon Reborn. I am now reading the Shadow Rising! My favourite character is Moiraine, which is probably due to the fact that I began the series by reading New Spring which would introduce me to Moiraine and Suiane respe…

Yes, I know 'aloha' is traditionally used in Hawaii...But, I like it, therefore I use it. :) So, I'm a long time WoT fan, and am currently going through my yearly re-read, by which I have become obsessed about Randland all over again. Having access to the internet has allowed me to expand on my obsession, for which I am grateful! I've been lurking among your boards for a while now, and thought it was time to join, as I have seen many topics and posts that I would have replied to had I been a member. Hmm...what else...I am from British Columbia, Canada, I am an Early Childhood Educator, I am also a pretty productive, functioning member of society in general. I lo…

All, Based on some recent feedback we've gotten, we are looking to expand our technology staff. Basically, we'd like to create a pool of volunteers willing to help keep this place running smooth, and to help improve it. So, if you have experience and skill coding in or for HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, mySQL, Wordpress, myBB (particularly how to develop plugins for either of those last two), Coppermine or myPHPFAQ and would like to donate some of your time to help out the 'mount, please e-mail matalina@gmail.com and let us know. Obviously, if you have experience in all of these that's great, but even if you only have skills in one or two, let us know who you are…

I am also a long time reader of the series, I started back in 1997. I have read each book 2 times and have listened to the audio version 1 1/2 times(currently on book 9). Anyway I love the site, and I look forward to epic forum post's and descussions. Thanks for being here, and being a great resource to us devout fans of Robert Jordan (may he rest in peace). Ohh and sorry for my God awfull grammer, and spelling. ~Stoneweave In order to have a signature, one must first have a name.

  23. Hey, I'm new here (Obviously). You can either call me Black-Cloaked Stranger or just Bryan. Or my nickname, Bran. I don't care, either way. A few weeks before Christmas, I borrowed The Eye of the World from my sister, and instantly became attached to the books. I'm now reading The Great Hunt and anticipating the rest of the series. I'm ashamed of myself that I didn't start reading this series sooner! I hope to have a fun time here! Regards, Bryan

I am waiting patiently for the final book and reading a fair bit of Sara Douglass in the meantime. I'm from Oz studying a masters and working. I heard a rumor about the series being turned into a movie. Is this just another rumour or is it based in fact. Love to hear from someone christe1602

Hello and thanks for taking a second of your time to read this! My name is Tommy, and I have enjoyed the world of the Wheel of Time for going on 6 years now. I read many other fantasy series as well, but WoT is by far one of my favorites. I have recently started reading the series once again in preparation for the newest and final addition to the main series. I realize it is a long way off, but I am also a Computer Science Major at my university and so free time is a rare treat for me. I am interested in discussing the books at any time (probably why I registered for these forums) and multiple other series as well (such as "The Sword of Truth", "The Drizz…
