Introduce Yourself

If you're new to Dragonmount, stop in and introduce yourself!

  1. Started by heathfodor,

Hello, About 11 years ago, my friend Matt introduced me to the world of Rj and the Wheel of Time. Over that time, I read up to The Shadow Rising. My obsession is to get to Knife of Dreams. It feels like I have tried every fantsy author on the shelves. I would list them but it would be ridiculous. I keep thinking that I might find another set of characters that would top RJ's. Of course, this same subject has been a constant source of controversy between my small fantasy reading group of friends. The Wheel of Time is more than a series to me. I get very upset when I have to defend it. Over the past 15 years, I've started hundreds of story idea…

Hello all! I just wanted to look around, I'm re-reading the series again and don't have anyone to talk to about it where I'm at, so I thought I'd drop in and see what everyone has to say. :)

  4. Hello hello! Well, like my nifty title says, I'm a fairly old former member recently (as of today) returned to the Dragonmount universe. It's been a long time, and I'd like to get back into some roleplaying and suchlike. My name is Jay, because I know you were dying of curiosity. I used to have a couple of characters here a few years ago, but I doubt anyone would recollect them now. I've got me eye on a spot in the Warders group, so if anyone feels the need to lend a finger that points in the proper direction, I would be at least momentarily grateful. I suppose you could lend a finger of some other sort, but that just isn't very nice treatment of a newbie…

  7. Started by Vivacia,

Hello everyone. My name is Vivacia and I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been a WoT fan since 1990. I have been involved with some other WoT sites in the past and I am a current member of the Enchanted Quill community. I was at Dragoncon this year and had a marvelous time. I haven't been to a DragonCon since 2006, and I wasn't able to stay in one of the hotels at that time. This time I had a room at the Hyatt and was able to attend many more events. I will definitely be staying at the Hyatt again next year. I am also a fan of many other fantasy authors, including: GRRM, Diana Gabaldon, Anne McCaffrey, Robin Hobb, H. Beam Piper, Jennifer Roberson, Elizabeth…

Yeah I know, the wrong line but figured it appropriate. Just giving my hello shout to DM and still checking this all out. Just recently got back into WoT after a 6 yr stint of not reading. Got into WoT when BK4 was just released. Read up to Book 8. Every time a new book was released I reread the series but RL and things changed that. Now I'm back. Currently listening to book 10 on audio. To lazy to read atm but am able to listen while at work so it's a great way to go thru the entire series again. Was truly saddened to realize that Rigney has passed but glad to see that his work will be finished. At anyrate this is me and if you want to know more send me a s…

  9. Started by Tel Janin,

I am Tel Janin, called Grymm by some. I've been reading RJ's work for nearly 25 years now, beginning with his pulp 'Conan' days. I started the WoT series when it was first published in '91. I've reread the series at least once every time a new book is published. I'm a career military man, currently stationed in Germany. I look forward to posting with everyone.

Hi everyone finally joined the board (just took me to the 8th book to do so) always been wary of spoiling any of the books on myself, and alas I've only done it the once so far :-\ hopefully the last ;D I'm looking forward to hearing what everyone else thinks of the books, and its many plots! Most of the time I cant keep up them trying to figure out what I think is going to happen. Before I've browsed through what other people's vision of what the characters look like and to find ones that matched mine was great (also where I got my spoiler :D)so I'm hoping to do some of my own and get them uploaded! Thats me cant wait to get posting! Lazlo

Ahh, great to see respectful people on a fun website about a series of books we love. Allrighty I choose the name Rodelle he's a character in book 11 that shows up very breifly. (thought nobody else would pick it) if someone did and feels abashed, angry, or starts muttering the word sue, let me know. ;D Anyways I read the books in about a week and a half. about 2 weeks ago andloved them. Im a highly affluent reader and love to write, but alas my grammar has been affected by a curse known as East Texan hic power if I offend anyone with my lack of grammar comprehension.. ehh whatever. :) uh ohs i do believe im rambling at least im not yelling out random words. 14. Here I am. Finally on the forums, so quit hounding me, eh? :P ;D Lesse. I tried to pick a neutral username here, so you get my blog's title. My biggest online WoT presence is as an admin over at A Wheel of Time Wiki, on wikia. I know there are other encyclopedias out there, but we wanted to take an in-universe approach, and so far it's been going well, if slowly. Okay, glacially, of late. ::) In the real world, I've met several of you at Dragon*Con for the last 3-4 years. If I'm costumed out for WoT, it's usually as "Twitchy the Asha'man". Picture from this year: . My next big costume is going to be Sammael as Lord Brend, if I can ever find the Light-ble…

Okay, I'm not a new member, but this was the best place I could think of to post, since it's a big of a newbie problem :P Basically I can only access my Dragonmount profile from one computer. (Fortunately it's no problem for me to access it. Unfortunately its not the one I have at home, its at my parents :P). I've figured out the problem, but I need help with it. Long story, but I'll try to make it short. I've been at DM for years. Early last year I took a LOA just before the D-Mail was redone. Annoucements went out asking everyone using it to say so so that their account wouldn't be lost. At the time though I didn't see myself coming back to DM so I didn't. …

  16. Started by Danith,

Hey, how's everyone doing? I've actually been coming to DM for about 5 years now, but had never really considered to join the forums. ::) Anyway, I started reading WoT probably about 8 years ago when I was in high school. I'm a US Marine now, 23, and currently I'm stationed in Baku, Azerbaijan as a guard for the US Embassy there. I'm currently a solo-artist, for acoustic rock, so if anyone cares to take a listen, let me know I always appreciate people opinions. ;) Furthermore, As I'm sure the majority of those on this site, I'm flipping back and forth between different ideas for novels, and my brother and I are actually planning on co-authoring a series, based loose…

  19. Started by mb,

My real name is Michael. I was given the 1st book (Eye of the World) by a nephew the day after my birthday and the day before Robert Jordan died. I do not remember when I was told of his death, but it was by a church friend at church. I have read through the 7th book (Crown of Swords); I own a copy of each one, bought the others at Barnes & Noble. Other series I have read (roughly in order of reading):: -Cyber Quest (all 6, more than once) -Lord of the Rings (all 3, more than once) -Histories of Middle Earth (through the 9th) -Chronicles of Narnia (all 7, more than once) -CS Lewis's Space Trilogy (all 3, more than once) -Refiner's Fire (only 1st…

  23. Hey everyone! Some of you may know me from TV (I'm not terribly active over there) or from Towers of Light. I was pretty active in two WoT communities (Threads of the Pattern and Towers of Light) until Towers closed down a little while ago, and two of my friends from there (Rasheta and Jayde, I'm pretty sure they're both Greens here) convinced me to join DM. So here I am! About me...I'm 18, a college freshman at Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA. I'm 3/4 Greek, 1/4 French, a Bio major (I want to be a Vet) and a huge fan of the arts (music, theater, literature, anything). I started readin the Wheel of Time around 2003 or 2004, and I've read the series twice, I think. …

Hiya, Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm 21 years old and live in Western Australia. (G'day to all the Aussies out there!;))I was born and raised in Scotland, the rest of my family is Irish, and I moved to Australia when I was 17- needless to say I have a really strange accent! I like socialising with my friends, partying or just hanging out, movies (foreign included), cooking (or trying to!), dancing, reading... and I suppose I'm a stereotypical girl in that I like shopping, shoes, handbags and pink glittery things. I married my husband at the end of last year so I'm having a great time being a newly wed and washing his socks :D I've been reading WOT s…

  25. Started by Ultima Valenhart,

Hello all! I'm actually called Hanna, but most people on another forum where I have the same name tend to call me UV. I got the name from the book I am writing called Shadow's Lair, as it is the name of on of the central female characters. I am by no way new to using forums, as I own one myself, although it is dead =P Well...a bit about me? Besides the fact I'm more than slightly loopy? I'm 19 (almost 20 =O!!!) and am from England...but I'm not pure English, I'm half Scottish. I like to write, and I like to act. And soon I will (hopefully) be auditioning for some work in Butlins. It is my ultimate desie to play Eponine in Les Miserables or Mary Poppin…

  28. Started by Robert Cole,

Hi I´m Robert. I read wot since ???.... I started reading around early 2007. I managed to stop reading at the end of the road of the spear. Which is the second book of the german edition of the third book. If I had not I would still be reading and had no time to do more important stuff like studying and eran money to pay my dues. It is like being a junky in detoxation. Anyway, hello and have a good time!

Not really card gamer or gamer period just do my own thing which is pretty much anything that's fun. Anyways; I'm tired of waiting for the last book! I mean damn!!! For a guy like me I'm 31 I've been reading this damn series like since I was 20 or something Is it it weird? Yes a little.
