Seriously, I said I would at Con, but I'm kinda lazy, well .. more like busy now that I'm back from Con. So yayness, I joined. I blame Jen and Jimmy ... and various others. A little about me. I've been at TarValon.Net for around 4 years and been to 3 Dragon*Cons (for those of you there, I'm the brown girl with the large ego). I just finished up my undergraduate degree and am looking towards grad school. I like sleeping. Honestly though, I'm just freaking awesome ^.^

Hmmmm...I hate doing introduction topics. I never know what to say >.< I'm 21 and live for the moment in Nevada. I've been a part of tarvalon.net for almost two years now and even though I"ve found the DM setup confusing, I decided to try it out and start small. I'm pretty much an open book so ask away! ~Lia

Hi, everyone. Yes, I named my account after that Seanchan officer. I read WoT years ago and decided to give it another whirl. I'm reading more carefully and logging all the more important characters (nobility, soldiers, Aes Sedai) to keep them straight. It's a much more satisfying read this time around, understanding the world more completely and revisiting it gives the earlier books a lot more significance.

Not that anyone knew me well enough at Dragoncon to hear the entertaining talents I have besides screams (I meant in the 'Are you a darkfriend' game, get your mind out of the gutter, that's my place). I'm mainly a lurker impressed enough by the camaraderie of those that I met in the track room that I not only looked up the appropriate spelling of camaraderie, but also joined! If you only knew what you were in for, and if only I knew that I should have gone down to the track room sooner. For now I'll still probably hang on to my terrible lurker habits, but I'll start chiming in on posts a good deal more now.

Hello Dragonmount! I'm relatively new to the series. I first heard of it in jr high, and I thought the cover looked corny, and was all wrapped up in DL legends, so I judged it not worth my precious time. So a decade or two later, when I'd read everything there seemed to be to read, including notso fun books like Dante's Paradise trilogy, i figured if I could get through that, I could get through this Wheel of Time. I suppose it's a good thing i waited, or I probably never would have finished school, or got a job, cause every free moment I have is spent on this subject. If I every get my PHD I'm gonna fight for a WOT phil course. But i babble...I didn't s…

New to the board, but not the will of the Wheel. Been reading since 1991 and the work has encompassed my life. I was roughly about the same age as Rand, Mat and Perrin when they began their flight from Edmond's Field. I Have grown up with The Author's characters like they were childhood friends. We remain close to this day. I would like to send condolences to all the family and fans, as we all honour the anniversary of James Oliver Rigney's passing. I am looking forward to speaking with many of his friends and fans here, as we share our love of the world he created and how it has changed all our lives. The Wheel weaves as the wheel wills, so here I am. Thank the Light.

Hey Everyone! *waves* I'm really excited that I finally joined this site! I've been going here for years for Wot information but never joined. My Dad first introduced me to Wot when I was really young and I've been a fan ever since. I have grown up with the characters and feel like I know them all on a personal level. I can't wait to get into your community and become just more than a newbie. Actually, I really don't know much about this site so I'm gonna go explore. ~Carlayna

After 6 years and some at TarValon.net I've finally decided I need some new horizons to my WoT-life. For those of you who are also there, yes, it's me, the one many people just call "Doc". For the rest of you: I'm 36 years of age, Norwegian born but living in UK, I'm engaged to Maeve Vashta (Morwynna Raevyn) who is Aes Sedai of Green Ajah here. I've read the books once through, started re-reading but I feel EotW is quite hard to get through, so I've been reading bits and pieces here and there instead. Other than WoT, my interests are fantasy books (Love Dragonlance, for example) computers (I'm computer support educated) pets (grown up with a mom w…

Hello! I just registered today to post my AMOL prediction, and I saw that catfishncod had already posted what I was thinking. I'm not discouraged by that, though. Nope, I rather think it means we are right. So, I did post in the AMOL predictions thread. There is a link to my prediction in my signature, too. I had been posting in another WoT forum for about a year when I decided it had just gotten way too negative. I think DM seems far more positive and friendly. I am glad to have found DM. I am far too into the WoT books to not have people to talk with who know what I am talking about! Heh, but I have converted my husband into a WoT head. Heck, even my …

I am brand new to the Dragonmount forums! I am a huge fan of the books (although I haven't read them all yet - I'm currently on "Path of Daggers") and didn't even know until recently that there was such a huge online fan base! I can't wait to find out what happens next.

Hiya, just signed up today, so hello to you all. Been reading the forums for a while and I am mightly impressed with all the theories and discussions. I always thought I was an "astute" reader, but looking at some of your posts makes me feel like an illiterate oaf who must miss 50% of what is written. Slight confession here, I started reading the books about 10 years ago and loved them until LoC, then thought Jordan lost his way after that (don't kill me!)and stopped after TPoD. Anyway, just decided to pick them up again and I'm currently reading TGH, and loving them again. I just hope the same thing doesn't happen though. I'm 35, male, in the UK. Wishing y…

Some old school people might remember me. I just started reading Knife of Dreams ( I know, been slacking and absorbing the Stephenie Meyers books while I was waiting for my library to get me KoD). I was missing some of my people and the fun back in the day (It's not too often the Amyrlin asks you to kill her!). I'm looking for Pookie and Aissa if they are still around or if someone knows how to get a hold of them. I am moving out to Washington (state of not DC) so I figured I'd look for my people in that area. See you around! Amy/Siofra/Lethe

Greetings, I recently became a member of Dragonmount, and this is the first time I have joined an online community like this. My name is Raipher, and I am 20 years old. I started reading the Wheel of Time about five months ago, and I'm currently a quarter of the way through the sixth book, Lord of Chaos. So far, I am very impressed with the series, and I have to say that my favorite character, up to this point, is Lan. I do realize that I should remain clear of the general discussions board until I finish all of the books, and in the meantime, I hope the explore the rest of what the site has to offer. At some point, I will probably attempt to join one of the role-pla…

Hello everyone, I'm just your standard lurker who finally got the guts to make a post. My name is John David, 18 years old.. going to college in NYC. There you have it. I love all the books, on a current re-read. I'm also a huge lover of Broadway, play a bunch of instruments, sing and all the jazz. If anyone cared of course. Thanks!

I actually signed up to Dragonmount years ago, but was active for a short time, then went innactive entirely. remembered this site when a friend of mine started reading the books, and started browsing the artwork and such. So now I'm back! Hopefully I'll be more active than I was then. I've started uploading a few pieces of WoT art I've done recently. I have an older piece that I might upload eventually, though I'm not very pleased with it (its of Birgette) A little about me... I'm 27, wife, and mother to a 4 year old little boy. I have an older sister, and a younger brother, and a younger sister-in-law as well. I'm a bit of a procrastinator. I'm an arti…

Not really good at introducing myself, but I think its a great way to start on these boards. My name is Kevin and I'm 24 years old, about to turn 25 on Friday. I was recently introduced to the Wheel of Time by a mutual friend. I am half-way done with the first book and I am amazed by this book. I'm so upset I was introduced to it before the untimely death of Robert Jordan. I would have loved to have met him. Now I don't know too much about the series except for whats in the first book so far, but I would still love to discuss the book and get to know a lot of people and make friends. So, that's about it for my introduction lol. Kevin
