I mentioned a while back that I thought Cadsuane was in control of the sisters at the Silver Swan, and was asked by wipe for a layout of the situation as I saw it, so this is that--done quick unfortunately, but hopefully it will hold muster. Firstly, quick run up... there are a group of Aes Sedai staying at the Silver Swan in Caemlyn. They are never identified with the exception of Amylia, the Brown sister who ends up with the Sea Folk. They change numbers often--some will leave, and new sisters will join. There are not, and have never been any Reds amongst their number, and very little is know about their intention other than that they seem to be gathering informatio…

We do a lot of predicting around here, so once the last book is written we will have all our prophecies confirmed or denied forever.... Or will we? Of course not! A true theorylander does not stop theorizing just because they will never know if their theories are confirmed... so luckily speculation about what happens in the fourth through seventh ages will always be there for us! Hooray! We know a lot about Ages two and three, and have a couple bits of information about Age one and four... but what can we infer about the other ages? Starting from the (well evidenced) supposition that Randland is Earth... We know a LOT about one of the ages - our own. It appears t…

Short and Sweet Prediction and Explanation: Someone was saying that Lan was the only parallel to Lancelot when going by character names. It occurred to me that Lanfear was another. In fact, Lanfear may be a combination of Lancelot and Guinnevere - as she is indeed a narcissist and in love with herself. So, as both Lancelot and Guinnevere were close to Arthur, Lanfear was close to LTT. As they both betrayed Arthur, she betrayed LTT. In some versions of the Arthur tale, Lancelot came back to Arthur to help in his war with Mordred. What do we have in the WoT? 1. Lanfear wants LTT/Rand back. 2. Lanfear mentions that with the Choedan Kal they could defy the DO…

Ok so we know that a channeler need to see to be able to weave, they can channel blind as much as they want but to actually use the Power for something practical they need to be able to see. Now this is just meant as speculation as no blind channelers are mentioned in the books, the closest is one girl who have a block so she can only channel with her eyes closes, a block that is beaten out of her, however let us say we have a person who is blind, but who also happens to be a channeler, would it be possible for them to find a way around this disability, perhaps memorizing exactly where each flow is to go so they can make weaves by heart, or perhaps finding some other way …

Ive always wondered wich would be a better magic form to have, if you were able to have one. Now a sunrunner is a highly adept psychic that is able to basically throw out there mind on streams of sunlight moonlight and starlight. They are very powerfull people from Melanie Rawns Dragon Prince series. It all has to do with colors of the mind that each persons mind signature is based on colors kinda like jewel tones. the one drawback is though that you need the various lights to be able to do your thing. It is instantaous, they can do everything a channeler can do and some other things that they cant. At the highest form they do not need any type of light to conjure, and th…

As we know from the series itself, Demandred has been aching for a chance to fight and kill Rand for the longest time. However, in the prologue to AMoL, we can see some tension between Demandred and his leader Moridin. Especially with Taim entering the picture and Moghediens belief that Demandred and Taim knew each other. If Moridin gives Taim a chance to kill Rand and continues to let Cyndane use Slayer to kill Rand, will Demandred seek revenge on Moridin?

Is the Dragon a hero of the horn? It certainly seems like he should be given that he is the lands greatest hero. Also Hawkwing seems to have some familiarity with Lews Therin in the Great Hunt. Thoughts?

The post on Gaidal Cain got me thinking about him. Why is Cain reborn so late in time? Obviously he will play no part in the last battle as a baby and he will not play a part in the immediate rebuilding of the world after the last battle. So what is his role to be? Why did the Wheel spin him out as it did?

One of the reasons why i believe that RJ was one of the greatest authors is how he puts little remarks in books that have no meaning untill way later in the series. In the prolouge in COT (the portion with gabrelle(the aes sedai that is bonded to logain), she makes a remark in her mind about how the ashaman did not give the captured aes sedia to not harm the black tower(since the bond would make them obey that no matter what). She thinks that it is a weird thing not to order that since they are captives. Thinking about it now it makes total sense since they obviously will be there to help shatter it from Taims hands(kinda learning that a bit in the AMOL prolouge).…

I don't necessarily mean specific events, but is there some battle, fight, or one-power usage that you want to see? For example, I want to see: 1.) Due to Lan dying or being in grave danger, Nynaeve unleashes hell on a horde of shadowspawn and kicks some a$$. 2.)Someone close to Rand (hopefully Elayne, since she's so sure she will be fine because of Min's viewings about the twins) dies, and Rand loses it and starts blasting the crap out of whoever. 3.) Some sort of huge battle between Dreadlords and Aes Sedai/Ashaman. 4.) Bella dies and its the saddest part of the series. So I guess basiacally I want to see huge ridiculous One Power usage.

Just a thought I had the other day regarding Rand's Plan to break the remaining seals. The main argument against doing this (from the Randland perspective) is that it will free the Dark One. But there is no evidence that breaking the seals will actually do that. In fact, it seems to me that all that would happen is that the Bore would then be reopen. The Dark One would still have to free himself, something that he did not do in the AOL, even with the Bore open as long as it was. He may be able to touch the Pattern, but he will not be free. Freeing himself would be a distinct and separate event from the opening of the Bore. Does anyone else see this? So, if the …

This question has been bothering me for some time now and I think I have found the solution. Before I start I would like to apologize for any incorrect language, because English isn’t my native tongue. I would first of all like to start with a footnote recently posted in the interview database and a quote straight from Robert Jordan. So apparently we should be able to figure out by now who Demandred’s alter-ego is. However the alter-ego hasn’t been on-screen according to the footnote and it can’t have been anyone mentioned for the first time after WH. Which effectively kills any theory about Demandred being in Shara / Land of the Madmen / Seanchan-mainland o…

Tamodean? Is it just me going crazy or could Taim really be Asmodean reincarnated. The timeline fits (just about, but does sort of mean not long punishment was not handed out.) I doubt its true but here's the argument. If (and its a big if) the DO knew details of why he really worked for Rand, that Lanfear and Rand sort of forced him not of his own volition, then the DO could have forced him to try and prove himself whilst mindtrapped. Taim could have been taken North into the Blight after his prison break. The full proving of himself we have seen in the prologue with Taim's promotion back to Forsaken. Given a new name as the others would fail to accept h…

I was thinking of this, and thought that could rand have fixed some of the issues between the cairheinan and Aiel by giving the fools, that Rhuarc taught a lesson by making them Gaishan after they rioted, to the Maidens in repayment for ditching out on them so much. At the same time it would potentially start lowing the animosity between the two factions. Or would this be against Aiel custom? I do not see a problem with this since the Cairheinan claim to follow Ji'eh'toh so they could be taken Gaishan.

Rereading and currently on The Great Hunt Chapter 12. In there is when Egwene and Nyneave begin receiving lessons from multiple Sisters besides Moiraine. First it is Verin, then Alviarin, Alanna, and Liandrin. Three confirmed Black Ajah (yes, Verin is not a dark friend but is Black) and then mysterious Alanna. I'm not that good at recalling information in WoT due to its mass, but I know she forcefully Bonded Rand and according to Wiki strangely vanished from the Stone of Tear without using Saidar and had a letter from Verin. I've always assumed at some point she would have to have a major part in all of this having Bonded Rand, anyone believe it is a part for the dar…

So, all we really know about Demandred is that he is off somewhere building an army to fight for the Dark One at the LB and that whoever his alias is is some person we've never seen "on screen." Lots of people suggest Murandy but I don't get that on a couple of levels: 1. Murandy is not even a very large country and, that we know of, they aren't known for any outlandish secret weapons. Could Murandy's army even compete with Andor's or Illian's or Tear's? Let alone all 3 plus others? I understand that the DO's own personal army will be there as well but that brings me to the next point .... 2. Just because a Forsaken is in charge, doesn't mean the entire ar…

On Ingtar's wikia page it says ... A couple things about this stick out to me and before editing the wikia I wanted to make sure there's nothing I'm missing. First - how do we know that he was at the Darkfriend Social? The only POV we have about that event was Bors' and all Bors pointed out was what he could tell about other DFs by their apparel/behavior. We definitely don't get any names and we don't have a PoV of Ingtar to find out that way. Second - quoting right from tGH... ... how, exactly, does that sound anything like him being compelled by the DO to retrieve the Horn and deliver it to some other DF/Forsaken? IMO, the only task we…

Reading some books simultaneously (KoD & FoH), I am wondering about the way male channelers are taught. In FoH Ch. 3, Asmodean said to Rand "Do you think Lanfear really intended me to teach you everything? If she had wanted, she would have contrived to stay close so she could link us." If I remember correct, Male AS cannot see weaves of other male channelers (I think I read it more than once). So I guess, the best way is to link with a female AS to learn the weaves in some other way. In KoD Ch. 19, Rand is destroying the trolloc raid with weaves made by LTT (..my hands, i can't see my hands...) and some Asha'man are copying the weaves just by seeing them. …

Many years ago the final Harry Potter book came out and my local Borders threw a release party. I attended with my little brother and it wasn't really anything huge but yet, I'll never forget it. When I think of this final Wheel of Time book I wonder, are there any bookstores throwing any release parties? It seems as if all the ones around me have been shut down. Besides that, how would I go about getting an autographed copy? Is that even possible? I know getting one of Harry Potter is bordering on impossible but it can't hurt to ask about this one.

Okay, If Randland held an election for president similar to this years election in the U.S; who would be the presidential/vice presidential canidates, who would you vote for, what political parties would there be, what kind of scandals would come out, etc. etc. I would love to see an attack ad against Rand and his plan to break the seals funded by Egwene, or the press conference where Rand has to explain his three women, stuff like that.

seeing Mat at beginning of Chap 11 was great, Mat went back to the backstory bit, but it was done with a wink and a nod, short and sweet, funny, but not overbearing. BUT, where the heck is the battle for Camlyn? I thought he was there.

I've read a lot of stuff talking about how Rand is going to force the dragon's piece on them in payment for his being willing to fight the Dark One. And it doesn't sound that bad. But what if Rand's price, is bowing before the will of the Empress bringing the Seanchan into the war against the shadow and ceasing the conflict? We have a prophecy that states he will do this (although its veracity is in question). And this is something Tuon could accept. Another theory I had: What if Rand doesn't die, but actually seals himself in the bore to counteract the DO. He wouldn't be dead, but in stasis, like the other forsaken were, so he wouldn't be spun out again. But h…

The Snakes in the Door in Tear answer three questions. The Foxes in the Door in Rhuidean grant three requests. Moiraine, Rand and Mat each went through each Door once. Mat, Rand and Moiraine would all have been given three answers and granted three requests. Ive seen threads before asking what Rand's third question was or what benefit Moiraine recieved..but: Heading into AMOL, can we go 18 for 18 on saying what every single one is? Fish

who u think is the best healer ? Semiherg is reputed as the best healer in AoL Nyn mamaged to do healing feats that even AoL healer cxouldnt do. Sumaco heal with such skill and inituativity that even Nyn is amazed (and sumaco regard nyn as decent and rank her below her :) ) Flin -> can do Saidin healing that heal thing saider cant (his unhealable weound scene) added Smitsu due to Cads talk to her personaly i'm torn between Semy/Sum/Nyn i think Sum is overall a better healer then Nyn but that Nyn can do feats of healing sumaco cant like a graph -> Sumaco is constant 8/9+ , Nyn is 6/7+ with peaks of 100K (healing madness!!!!) , Semy i think is the…

This is for posting found grammatical or detail errors, this is not for discussion please use other spoiller threads that fit the topic you wish to speak on if you want to discuss. In Aviendha's point of view their is a line that appears to be off. "To give the Aiel an exemption from his price-if, indeed, that was what was what he intended_was an act of honor." I think the second "was what" was a grammatical mistake.
