Rand in love with his Brothers sister.... His Uncle sharing a soul/body with Lan's Cousin... are there any others that can be thought of? Its interesting as to why Galad isnt even considered as rightfully entitled to the Sun Crown considering he was the last surviving member of the Damodred family using that name... and Im very curious to see how Luc/Isam plays a part in MoL, in the real world he looks like Luc, who would surely recognise his nephew if he faced him... crisis of conscience perhaps? as for Isam.. epic grudge match between him and Perrin in the wolf dream. so many wheels within wheels to be resolved... Will rand get that br…

Namely, Tarna Feir, and possible others. How useful would they be to the Shadow? Nothing about the 13x13 trick indicates it frees the channeler from the oaths given on the Oath Rod (unless it suddenly does, which we don't know), which makes Tarna (as a non-Black Aes Sedia) useless both in combat (can't attack anyone but her own side), and as a mole (can't lie). Unless Moridin has a third Oath Rod stashed away somewhere in his fortress, it seems unlikely that turned Aes Sedaa would be of much help as Dreadlords or spies. So why bother turning them, instead of just slipping poison or stopping their heart with saidin? What is Taim's plan?

Does anyone else think that he might be a new Forsaken? We know from the earlier books that there were never just 13 of them, cant remember the exact number off the top of my head, but to me it makes a certain amount of sense. I see Taim to be similar to Demandred... He's jealous of Rand in the same way that Demandred was jealous of Lews Therin. Taim wanted to be the Dragon Reborn, he wanted glory, power and fame.. Maybe he decided to swear to the dark one? Bear in mind that Taim is strong, almost as strong as Rand, which puts him fairly equal to many of the Forsaken. And remember to discount the Black Ajah because they are weak. Almost all Aes Sedai are weak …

In the Great Hunt Liandrin kidnaps Nynaeve and Egwene and plans to give them over to Seachan soliders to be sent across the Ocean. How does the shadow know that Nynaeve and Egwene are important? Is it just that they come from Rand's village? It just seems like there is more to it. Obviously Nynaeve and Egwene have both become huge characters but at this point in the Great Hunt they really hadn't done much. What role do both have yet to play?

Today I got up, and I did not have a Wheel of Time book to work on. I finished the final revision on A Memory of Light early in the morning Saturday, then sent it off to Team Jordan. And I was done. Team Jordan will handle the copyedits and proofreads; I might have a chime-in now and then on how a passage should be tweaked or how a continuity issue should be addressed, but essentially, my involvement as a writer in the Wheel of Time has come to an end. Now, that doesn't mean my involvement with Wheel of Time fandom is over. I'll have my appearance at Dragon*Con this year, as well as the tour in January for A Memory of Light. Beyond that, I intend to frequently att…

Ok as a reader we have known from day 1 that Rand is prophesied and destined to die in the last battle. Even with the evidence that when it's all said and done he'll be alive (such as from being resurrected), there is still that possibility that he might end up dead and gone when the final pages are turned. As a reader, will this have any emotional impact on you? Some of you have been reading since 1990 and have been around for the long haul but even for us who just started in the last few years, will you be sad if Rand is dead even though you knew it was coming?

Does it annoy anyone else that the ability to channel is a born trait and that only a select few have it? I would much prefer a world where everyone has the ability to channel you just have to train at it. And on that note it annoys me that people are given a strength cap and that is all they can ever get to. I would like it more if you were able to continuously become stronger the more you trained and worked at it. It may not bother anyone else, but it really grinds my gears.

While I understand Fal Dara isn't the seat of the King of Sheinar, as a Keep large enough to protect an entire town and the surrounding area, why aren't there Aes Sedai in residence? The Blight is a few miles outside their gates! We know for a fact there are none there before the arrival of Moriaine and company. Lord Algemar tells her they are marching to Tarwin's Gap and asked Lan to fly the Golden Crane. When he refused, he told Moiraine she would be worth 1000 lances by herself. She of course had to refuse him because they were headed to find the Eye of the World. I guess I've never understood the workings of the White Tower and the things left out of the boo…

So when the taint existed each different society had their own way of dealing with crazy saidin wielders. However, now that the taint is cleansed what is happening to these people? Do the Aiel still send them to the blight? Do the Seafolk still still kill themselves (not sure if that one is right)? Do the Seachan still do whatever they do to them? I realize the cleansing is very recent but I am still curious, although I doubt this will get much if any coverage in the last book. Any thoughts?

I just recently finished ToM for the first time, and as Lan charges off into the blight with his small army of Malkierie "to die" i can't help but wonder what will happen next! I personally just don't see Nynaeve going out in some kamikaze, blind-rage, stand off when the bond gets cut or having her emotions crippled for the last battle, so for that reason i believe Lan will live some how! so, yay or nay?! has Lan met his end?

Alright, ever since the Forsaken have been introduced, I have always wanted one of them to turn back to the Light. It seems such a good plotine. The fatally corrupted servant of the shadow redeeming themselves. In relation to this, I have always wanted one of the Forsaken to survive the Last Battle. Perhaps be stilled or exiled. So, who do you think could turn back to the Light in AMOL? Or has this plot device already been used? Can we say that this plot device has already been used via Asmodean? Rand captures him and forces him to be a teacher. But did Asmodean actually turn back to the Light? Or would he ahve tried to kill Rand at the first oppertunity he…

If this is already a topic delete this one I figure Thom will be bonded by Moiraine, which means that he will definitely be protective of her. But as far as the last battle is concerned, what will he be doing? He is wasted in a fight against an army of darkspawn and wouldn't stand a chance. Will there be some people in desperate need of assassinations? I don't know, especially since it's pretty certain Moiraine is headed for Shayol Ghul. I would love to hear some ideas. p.s. also how cool is Moiraine's name? It fits in well with how she really did pretty good for getting out of Rand's way and allowing him to do the major things he needed to do. Ever since …

In an expansion of my thoughts on Demandred's activities in LoC (which can be seen in the "Where's Waldo...I mean Demandred" thread in the Structured Forum), I have a theory on how the Land of the Mad Men, which has been mentioned outside the books by RJ, may have actually had some play in the books too, and perhaps this could be Demandred's role in LoC (since I feel confident he must have done something during LoC, if off-screen) and could also ratify the "things to the south had Demandred written on them" line. Ok, so when Rand first goes to "the farm" to visit Taim, Taim has gathered a few dozen possible candidates and is training them. A few chapters (about 300 pa…

Are the Aiel that moved into Rhuidien accepting the Way of the Leaf and possibly becoming the new Jenn Aiel? Has RJ or BS ever talked about that? it would make sense because of the "peace of Rhuiden and the sense of honor the Aiel have It would also become the perfect place for the Aiel that threw down their spears and ran away Also, this has nothing to do with this thread, but it would be pretty cool if Wheel of Time words have thier own spell check on this forum because I always feel like i misspell some words

So I was thinking about it, and in the earlier books Ishamael, as Ba'alzamon, said he could have Rand much more easily if he were dead, because he claims the dead are his...he assuming the identity of the Dark One, Shai'tan. But in later books, rather than try to have Rand killed, Moridin tries to have him converted to The Shadow. I think then that Ba'alzamon...the real Shai'tan, not Ishamael, but the Dark One himself...is lying when he says he has control of the dead. As we have seen, some souls pass on into TAR after death, and I believe all souls can be reborn, so they're not likely in a hell controlled by the Dark One if they're to be reborn. Afterall, the Dark One is…

This isn't another thread asking which long-anticipated scenes you want to see in the final book - its kind of the opposite. There is still SO MUCH foreshadowed throughout the series that we haven't seen happen yet, and we have RUN OUT OF TIME. This is the LAST book and its not going to be 2,000 pages. Lets face reality. Some of RJs plans will be, sadly, sacrificed. My question is: Of all the important/dominant/long-time wanted to see by fans storyliness or scenes, which ones do you think, realistically, are looking like they will probably have to be the most likely to have to be sacrificed from the last book in AMOL? Fish

Prior to ToM, we've had some interesting hints that the GLoD has non-Ashaman saidin channelers under his command. Two or three that I can recall. 1) TSR - Moggy describes what the sad bracelets do. These are post-Breaking ter'angreal so she has to have done her research after she was released from the Bore. TSR is also pre the founding of the BT. So any practical experience she has must be with non BT saidin channelers. It's exceedingly unlikely that any male Chosen would have been willing to help her with her experiments, unless they're directly ordered to, by the GLoD. 2) ToM Semirhage describes and demonstrates in more detail what the sad bracelets can do. Her verba…

Delete this or point me in the right direction because I didn't find anything when searching... There's not much going on here at the moment so I thought I'd ask a question that has been lurking in my mind. Did you ever think that RJ/BS changed anything in the story because we were on to something? Taimendred and Olver Cain being the most prominent in my mind.

Does anyone know the military value of an average channeler to an average soldier ratio? What I am looking for is something like 1 channeler = 100 soldiers. This will obviously vary depening on which kind of channeler we are talking about so a break down of asha'man, aes sedai, windfinder, wise one, and whatever other channeler you can think of it what I am looking for. Please exclude healing/travelling in the equation, just looking for the strength of trolloc killing. Also this is average vs average so 1 Rand = 100,000 soldiers or 1 lan = 10 channelers is not something I am looking for, although that is interesting so maybe another time. An estimate of the to…

So I was in another thread, and thinking to myself that I really hope either the Prologue or the climax chapter will be entitled 'The Shadow at Noon', and it got me thinking about what other possibilities there are. I have a feeling the Epilogue will be called The Winds of Time. Here are some others... As The Watch Ends--a chapter for either the fall of the borderlands, or the beginning of a seige of Tar Valon. The Anger of Aes Sedai--a chapter for the Aes Sedai's response to the raid on the Tower As Thrones Fall--another for the same reason Meetings With the Amyrlin--we got the Kin, we got Seta and Bethamin and we got Cadsuane all soon to be in positi…

I have wondered if /how/ when Lanfear will abandon shadow , I searched this forum after a thread discussing it but I didn't so here goes : do you think she will convert ? why ( or why not) and if she dose how will she escape her oath personalty my card is that she will escape the shadow with the help of Rand ( and helps Nyn resurrect him if the Tar-resurrection theory is correct). Why do I think this , well the last episode in ToM and a episode in WH made quite clear that she loathe the situation she is in ( mindtrapped by Moridin and tormented by some unknown being. And also she may feel responsible for the opening of the Bore and decides to help to close it.I believ…

Hey - what if the Dark one or the great lord is female? Does Jesus Rand have the "no kill woman" edict still in place? Maybe he doesnt have to kill her, but still Rand, Mat, etc dont like fighting women. Or is this just a dumb thought?

this is from BS twitter feed today any guesses what that can be? I have two quick ones 1. Perhaps that means that Elayne won't marry Rand after all and he'll just go off with Min somewhere. although I do seem to remember Aviendha saying that she saw in her Rhuidean visions that she'll have sister-wives so maybe that's not it. 2. Egwene after meeting Rand in TAR: perhaps she will kill him after all. there was something like this in her Accepted test too.

I have always thought that the Last Battle will somehow involve Rand's death, at least to a point. One of the prophesies says, "To live you must die...". I think that this refers to Rand's link with Moridin. Rand will kill Moridin and thus part of himself, because their threads are intertwined. He will end up killing part of himself, perhaps his ability to channel, or some of his memories(Simular to what happened to Matt).

Hey everyone, so awhile back i noticed someone said they read books by character sometimes during there rereads and that really interested me. So i was wondering 2 things, 1. Is there a list somewhere that i can easily find the chapters i need to read if i wanted to read wot from say mat's point of view all the way through, or perrin, or rand, or how about everyone significant enough to had said list haha. I've tried looking through but i was having a hard time. 2. to those that have done this assuming some of you have, how is it? is it as good as i think it will be? Thanks an advance to answers for either.
