I have the book and before I begin my "Week of Silence" I will read the Prologue. Prologue. My first thoughts, NOOOO! Now Marsh has turned all wacko and psychotic. Although I guess that he does try to kill himself so maybe he will turn good. I am very interested in learning more about this Hemalurgy.

Anyone here go this year? I went to Gold Coast/Brisbane show. EPIC. Tool are my favourite band of all time, so of course they were the highlight, but I lost my s*** completely dancing to Bloody Beetroots. Unbeleivably energetic and pumping DJ set. I have never been more sad to see the end of a set. Crystal Castles and Lupe Fiasco also highlights, awesome to see Deftones still rocking after all these years. So tempted to fly to Perth to do it all again!

My uncle is about to die from an accidental OD. He was without oxygen too long and his brain swelled up. He's more like my brother and I'm trying to not go find someone to seriously injure. Anyways, those of you who believe in god or Krishna or whatever if you could send some respective prayers I would really appreciate it. Okay I have a major problem. I have an external harddrive that has my only copy of a folder of all the WoT-related items, pictures and documents I have created over the past ten years. A few months ago I tried accessing my files only to discover they have seemingly disappeared!! So these are the details: - The folders appear empty, even saying 0 GB - When I do a Windows Search for a file name, my files pop up! however, any attempt to open them or copy them results in failure. - Right clicking on a file and hitting properties shows it to be 0 MB/GB/etc Please please help. For some time now, I have been keeping the Band of the Red Hand updated on the forthcoming Blind Guardian (now released) with a song based around The Wheel of Time series. The thread contains samples of the album, and these samples were called "The sacred wheel of time cannot erase the medieval song" and was in 6 parts. I was having a... discussion with my boyfriend on who would win in a battle, Goku (from DBZ) or Rand. I haven't seen any DBZ so I can't really compare the two, lol, but I have to think Rand would win, because he can pretty much do anything. Though I hear Goku blew up a planet once.... Anyway, what do you guys think? Goku or Rand?

I finally get around to ordering it, then get it in the mail, and it's a freaking misprint! Gah just figures. At page 32 it goes to 65-96 then after that is normal starting at the real page 65 and onward. I figure since I already read most of the sample chapters online, I can just reread through those to fill in the missing hole, but still I mean it just figures.

Hey guys, Just thought I'd let you know, Suvudu.com just recently wrapped up its Fantasy Villains Cage Match, and the winner, The Mountain That Rides, from A Song of Ice and Fire is going to go up against Rand al'Thor (who won their last cage match). They're posting up the challenge in the next couple weeks, figured you guys would want to know so we can help Rand win. Cuz seriously - it's Rand al'Thor, essentially a demi-god, versus a really tough brute. :)

Several posts I've read today mentioned this series. Which reminded me a buddy told me the other day that HBO was making A Game of Thrones into a show. On a side note, this is my same buddy that told me he wants 4yrs of his life back for introducing him to the WoT, hahaha. He made it to book 10, the quitter!! He's so close and he stopped. I thought this might flatter fans of the Wheel of Time a bit. I'm much more familiar with RR Martin's writing, but it was Jordan's endorsement that made Martin a wealthy man. The Dragon Reborn - takes the form of 3 hatched petrified dragon eggs in A Song of Ice and Fire. It takes a blood sacrifice to hatch them. "Only life can pay for life" and it takes the "blood of a king." The dragons are similar to Rand in that they are dangerous creatures of chaos and will most likely be needed to save the world. I posted a question on another forum but cannot find it now. I'm new here and have never done forums before. IA few years ago before RJ died, there was a beautiful get well video with beautiful music and stunning images. I had it saved in my favorites and watched that video almost daily, but all of a sudden it disappeared. Now I cannot find it anywhere. I had a brain aneurysm in August and almost died. When I finally got back online late last month that's when I noticed the video gone. Do you have any idea what I'm talking about and where I could get/purchase a copy of that video? Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

Authors China Mieville and George R.R. Martin are in the process of trying to get Facebook to remove copyrighted material from their website. Mieville has gone as far as publishing an open letter explaining his concerns: Martin's concern is over a specific page which is reprinting his blog entries and photographs without permission. Both authors seem to be indicating that legal action will follow unless Facebook deal with the situation ASAP.
