Hi everyone, Long time reader of RJ and of Dragonmount, but first time poster. Glad to be here. I've been trying my hand at writing some stories and I wondered if you could suggest a good place where I could post them up online and get some feedback on them from other fans of the genre. Any suggestions welcome, thank you.

Looking for some communal support. For many of us, it's guys like RJ that inspired us to write in the first place. I'm curious to see how many of us on the forum consider ourselves writers.

they do this a lot on NPR. people write in essays on what they believe. I believe that dry rub is the only true form of barbeque. slathering stuff in barbeque sauce does not make it barbeque. Only seasoned, slow smoked meat can be considered barbeque. The thought of putting sauce on it only admits that you failed at cooking it properly.

Hey Guys, I know this topic must come up a lot but I am looking for fantasy suggestions. I really would prefer books similar to the wheel of time. I have read and liked the following: Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan (Obviously ;) ) A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling I tried to start The Prince of Nothing by Scott Bakker but couldn't stand it. I got through the first book and half way through the second before I finally gave up. I'm currently reading The Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson and don't like it very much. (However I am only about 90 pages into the first book.) Can anyone recommen…

So...this is totally random, but has anyone studied abroad during college? I don't really know many people who have done it, and out of those, they've all done it within the last 2 or 3 years. I was wondering whether it has...long-term effects? Sorry, I'm not being very eloquent here....just trying to type out thoughts. I reeeaally want to go to Japan. I feel like it will complete my life....the only catch is that I have to learn 3 years worth of Japanese in a year and a half. I mean, I'll do it, I'm willing to do whatever it takes, but I want to know that it will be worth it. Thanks for any input.

I probably spend about 2 hours a day on the boards here, almost exclusively while at work 8). On top of that, I'm usually re-reading one of the books, and spend 1-2 hours a day on that. So, I'd say on any given day, 3 or 4 hours of it are given over to RJ's world. How about you?
