Okay, I can see that I'm making these too difficult. You may Google for the answers to the other questions, and I'll ask some easier ones instead.

#9 What are the four indoor Winter Olympic sports?

#10 Two teams push 42 pound stones across the ice towards a target. Matches consist of 10 ends, and during each end a team scores one point for every stone of theirs which is closer to the center of the target than all of the opponent's stones. The sport is ________ ?

#11 Which sport is a two-day event, combining both ski jumping and cross-country skiing?

#12 When was the last time that the Summer and Winter Olympics were held during the same year?

#10 curling

#9 ice hockey, figure skating, speed skating, Uhm one more...

#6 Taiwan? :)

Yes! That's another point to you, so our point tally is now:

BFG: 3 Points

It's a tight race...

Gah! I missed that post somehow!

Yes, all three of those are also correct. Man, you are KILLING it!

Point total:

BFG: 6 Points

Now I have to find more questions...

#13: What figure skating couple received a perfect score from every judge?

#14 What are the only two countries in the southern hemisphere to have won medals at the Winter Olympics?

#15: How many nations in the southern hemisphere have hosted the Winter Games?

#16: What is the only nation to win a gold medal at every Winter Olympics?

#15 0

#16 USA

(only because I read it earlier looking for the boycott answer  if I'm remembering right anyway)

You go, Blank! The judges give that a solid 9.4!

Correct on both counts, so the point total is now:

BFG: 8 points

Lessa Nikia: 2 points

Mashiara Sedai: 2 points

Blank: 2 points

Sooh: 1 point

We still need an answer for #13, and I think there are some early ones from the first list of questions that haven't been answered.

  • Author

You're right--Sooh does have one point, and I forgot to carry Lessa over, too. I have edited the most recent point count, and it also reflects your correct answer for #11, which is indeed Nordic Combined. Biathlon is cross-country skiing and shooting. I thought I had addressed that one earlier, but obviously I didn't. :-/
