personally i first sided with you because you reached out to me first. yeah i loved the banter going on; it helped me see i'd fit right in. but i didn't understand most of it. so i was tentatively just interrupting everywhere & seeing what people made of it. you made it clear you enjoyed that, & i think you still try & do it. mm so yeah. just keep that up a little more, maybe? i mean - i think the welcome wagon really works well as it is, because it showcases a lot of different personalities even as we're all sarcastic & teasing. i think the one thing that really needs to be enforced, though, is the Org things. & when i forgot to disclaim my opinion, someone has always shouted me down. so it's all good. i think we all do know what we're doing; i just want to maybe make it clear. lol. because kait does silly things like this.

 

by all means recruit for your own Org & slam the others! but make your bias clear & also assure the newbie you are joking.

Empy doesn't do that because Empy is not used to needing to do that. Normally people like Corki do it for Empy.

Showcasing the org? I do not try to just be about how cool SC is. I think that is boring and if someone has already mentioned SC's focus, I think it does not need to be pushed in their face. I would rather encourage a newbie to check out all the orgs, let them know that they do not have to join to participate a discussion. I hope they come by SC and check us out and they see something they like and join in. Also it helps that other people hype the org because it shows we have active members.

but i think you have the right way about it, empy. if everyone did what you did it would be boring, too, though. i think we have a good mix going. we just gotta keep listening to the newbies & how they feel above all.
