I'm not convinced it will play out that way, but perhaps if it does the reasoning will be it will help turn Rand into Dark!Rand? Maybe there won't be sufficient time to show his gradual change and instead they'll go with a few much bigger things breaking him?

having tam be the one who finally stops tigraine killing spree would work. personally, i wouldn't find it shocking. they were in battle, tigraine was killing people left and right, it's not like tam had much choice.

and alas, i won't be finding out until another couple of days. i promised to watch the episodes with my brother

I predict that people who enjoy the show will really enjoy Ep7 and that a small minority of the people who dislike the show but watch regardless will enjoy it as well.
