I was thinking about the mechanics of this game. 10 players, 3 mafia. Town gets one mislynch. Town has a cop. Mafia has a 1x Godfather. 

 

Is it beneficial for the town to NO LYNCH at some point as long as the cop is alive? It is never a good idea in my mind on D1. You need to see voting and you need the flips to try to solve for team interdynamics. But one NO LYNCH later could give the cop one more night to find mafia. The difference would be either a 3-2 or 2-1 end game vs. 4-2 or 3-1 endgame.

 

I think it could be but I'm not sure. I think it depends on if the cop is alive and how many peeks they get.

 

I'm perfectly fine with whatever you say. Just keep it PG, lol

@Turin Turambar if we get a no lynch will the cop get to peek before the NK?

Thank you Dice (and also Zander!) ... I appreciate both of your clarifying 'teaching' responses to my post about "how is a Townie suppose to act".  It was and is helpful.

I do have a hard time following the jargon, the side-bars, and the "off the cuff" speech...it's a bit embarrassing to post a lot of "I don't understand what you mean, can you say that again" so I haven't.  Instead, I've simply been trying to do my best to "figure it out."  (Still confused about 'red peak' and other Mafia jargon... and as for multi-quoting and posting ... I have no idea; every time I try..I seem to lose my post, so I have quit trying so I can at least post something). 

I know we are getting to the end of Day 2. I'm going to put together my "named" suspect list and why again....

Finally, Dice, your advice (posted above) seems to be the only thing I really have (my gut); however, I'm not sure I can "stick by" my original reads...some very good arguments are being made....AAARGHHH...this game is frustrating.

Alright, I'm working out my suspect list (literally with a pencil and paper 😂) and why separately and will get it posted ASAP. 

A red peak is Zander being unable to spell. He means a red peek - that is the cop has investigated a player and their name comes back in red, i.e., they are a mafia goon.

We will get 1 more view if the cop lives that long. It is a risk, but in the 2-1 end game it could be a lock for town. Especially if we can lynch the.mafia Godfather. 

 

It could also go horribly wrong if the cop died tonight.

It's been explained so many different ways by at least 3 people. This makes you look so wolfy IMO.

My reads at this point:

I "feel" like one is either Andy or Don and their lack of info is due to RL stuffs, being new, not sure how to play wolf without exposing themselves or teammates, as I too would struggle with this, or just playing it safe/quiet to seem town. 

I feel like town is maybe Heavy, Dice and Sooh. But Sooh is new to me and I haven't gotten a clear read on her yet.

Zander and Turin I feel like at least one of them is wolf. If I had to choose under quick choice I would prolly choose Z, but If I make it through the night, some more info after a peek and NK I might regret thinking Turin is town.

I will vote later after some contemplation.

But here's the thing IMHO I don't think think Carios was experienced enough to know if we could or couldn't pull off a train switch.  It's was minutes left woulda been hard to communicate back and for fourth in Scumchat and be in thread,he couldn't have known to be able to factor in if anyone was lurking, catching etc. and he knew me and you were both according to our words willing to lunch Heavy.   That's why I think spewing more likely then trying to distance/clear atp.  Like in not saying I'm 100% sure on it I just think spew more likely based on everything above

But @Turin TurambarTurambar, what is it doing? I cannot remove that. Anyway, Turin, don't you think that Dice is a bit sus? If you think that Z is a wolf, and I'm certainly not disagreeing but I'm not sure really of anything any more, what do you think of Dice's claims he can read Z so well that he would never use a cop peek on him. That is some kind of certainty there. And he is saying Z is town. 

 

So do you think Dice cannot read Z, or do you think Z and Dice are actually the wolves? Dice's reads and votes on D2 I cannot follow at all, but I have no idea what to make of that.
