I have several smaller games (bastard ones) that I think people would have fun with.  Each game would only last a few days, so easy to play.

 

Then someday I'll bring one of my larger games in.  Not large in # of players, but large in complexity.

I don't know what these b'stard games are. What makes them different and why are they so popular with other mods?

When you say 'a few days' - how many RL days are we talking?

You know what's funny irt PRs I don't think I've ever randed Cop and Vig maybe 1 or 2 times.  I know it's similar I did get Seer a few times but mostly in Turbos on MU so doesn't really count.

But also... Once I did rand Seer and was just so excited to be Town again that I didn't see the actual role part until almost end of N1... So I can't really hate on the lack of responsibility too much 🤣🤙

I can't remember if it was here or DT but the game where you us PMs and can team-up with anyone secretly sounds fun! Also I'm reading the wiki to try to better understand roles for the next game.

The Mafia team gets a PM where they can chat secretly and plot. There are also other roles like Masons and Neighbours who have a private PM to communicate

Basically if you rand onto a Mafia team you are not alone. My God can you imagine having to be sneaky all by yourself.

Some people basically run games that are role madness (aka kitchen sink) and call it bastard.  Others (I'm in this group) run games that require you to think and "break the game", or just make it confusing to figure out.....but it's still mafia at the core.

My smaller games would literally be less than a week to play (RL).  The bigger ones could be 2 weeks, but still usually less.

Yes, but if I lie as mod, I make that clear at the beginning.  I will lie and trick, but you'll know I'm doing it.

Probs best to just treat it like a basic game and case the players and not the game.
