This is a bunch of folks coming back from multi-years hiatus and nobody is really solid on readings right now. 
 

So I figure I’ll make observations as I see them and hopefully that’ll click with other players that see the same thing. 
 

Turin is playing a little too hard and multiple folks have called him wolfy. I’m not opposed to this. 
 

Darthe is always confusing on D1 and he and I tend to go back and forth to try and shake something loose, and because it’s fun.

Verb is absent, but that’s not uncommon during the work week.

Again I don't feel you addressed my issue with your response to Darthe about the Town core thing just swerved around it by talking about Cory.   Your responses feel very constructed and evasive and not organic and direct.  I'm having trouble seeing how this comes from a Town P.O.V tbh.  If you're a Villager I'd love to work with you but I gotta say I don't see atp.  Like refusing a reads list as well.  I don't see this from a Townie.

Go back and look at when I asked Gud how many games she’s played in. The quote from her post was her asking basic questions about the game. Either she’s a mafia savant and figured out within four games how to casually ask questions about basic stuff, or she’s town. There’s an off chance that she planned that with a team, but that seems very remote, so I have her as town.

I've just been reading everything and trying to see if I can pull any useful info together that will help me see patterns. I will get together some reads in the AM.

Cause I didn't do that from notes, and I didn't feel like typing the same thing I just had twice. I made that post off the cuff after having reread the thread. I did not even remember to put Verb on it so you can be pretty sure there were no notes. 

 

My opinion was you did defend my stance on whatever it was at the time. Oh yeah, Zander revealing so early. I still maintain that it would have been tactically superior to wait. People can disagree if they want. Regardless,  it is done and here we are. 

 

Just got thru morning breakfast and boy off to school so gonna look back at last night and make a bit of what some will think.is a crazy argument.

This is a misrep of your intention. You are saying you don't necessarily think it was sketchy, but you are saying you think it's sketchy by implication. It was the biggest thing to happen up to that point in the game. People should have opinions on it and they should be voicing those opinions. That is how we determine each other's point of view and then alignment. My opinion was it most likely would have had greater tactical weight if he had waited. I explained  why I felt that way. I read back on Zander's posts and realised that he was hinting strongly and also doing it in a way that seemed sketchy to me,  which is why I was sussing him earlier.

This was Darthe's reasoning for his having me low. He states that his reasons are dumb and have caveats. You want a stronger town read on me but you said that you had me pegged as mafia after a few posts in my last game which I lived to the end and won. If I'm such an obvious wolf then why are you concerned that you don't have "more of a town read"? Shouldn't I be a neon mafia sign? 

I didn't talk about mechanics.  I talked about theme and whether it could be used to break the game. I said I didn't think it could because Ithi works hard to prevent that ( I have changed my mind on this but will not go there because I feel it is against the spirit of the game). However, I also asked myself a question about mechanics and theme. Who is bothered by it more? I argue mafia don't want to discuss theme because they are afraid of exactly the thing I talked about. The possibility of a way for townies to recognise each other based on information the mafia don't have. I have been in games where it became impossible for mafia to hide due to town "codes" if you will. 

Not sharing? This is malarkey. The construction of sentences? C'mon man, be better. I talk how I talk. This game is about persuasion. Of course I want to craft my words to be as clear and persuasive as possible. 

 

That this was nearly the same way it went when I asked Key for her reasons is troubling.  They may be the only two that directly sussed people for mentioning theme, and both used the incorrect term of mechanics to do so.

 

Waiting for the "mechanics is just distraction" argument. We have until Friday. There is plenty of time to talk about many things.  It is generally more important to look at the why and how of discussion than just if it happened or who initiated it.
