Hello! I have finally decided to climb over the fence! I have been a Wheel O' Time fan since around 2000. I am just starting a second read of the series - and cannot believe how much I missed on the first go-round! For instance, since I try to walk in the light, I believe in being honest, and will admit that I totally missed the whole "Ingtar is a darkfriend" paragraph! I am also somewhat intimidated at the goat-kissin' size of this forum! (Ok, I know, that's enough Jordanesque references to make friends or roll eyes!)  ::) I also hope I am smart enough to join in discussions - this has to be one of the most articulate boards I have ever seen! I found the board after hearing of Robert Jordan's illness and reading his blog - which has both saddened and inspired me. I am a wannabe writer, but I often lack discipline, and sometimes, the fear gets me. I am so glad to read his feisty comments - I think the man is fighting his illness and keeping himself in the clear through sheer force of will. Sort of puts some of us to shame.  :-*

 

That is all - I am really looking forward to meeting some folk... and occasionally running from trollocs...

Yeah, the discussion are great on here. You never know what you will discover and sometimes it is just nice to hear that what other people think on a subject. But I would also like to invite you to drift over and meet the Band of the Red Hand. We are the travel and music org here at DM but we also have tons of fun. The Band is a great place to make friends, drink some battle brew, and get caught up in a brawl or two. We'd love to have you join us. In the mean time, have fun!  ;)

Trying to walk in the light is always a good thing!  But if you feel the need to get a little shady ;) you can come on over and play Mafia at Organized Games.  Never heard of this game before?  Well we have some openings in a newbie game that would be perfect for a first timer to learn how to play.  Love to see ya there!

 

Also, the discussion boards are great, but sometimes they can get a little heated and tense.  When you need a place to go to relax from that come on down and check out the Wolfkin.  We're the Nature Org here at DM, but we love a good party to.  We have a WHOLE LAKE full of nautres best tequilla and vats upon vats of hearty chilli.  So when you feel like pulling your hair out when you can't get your point across come on down and relax with the Wolfkin. ;D
