After Rosetta woke up from her nap after completing her last lesson on intro to saidar she decided to take a walk in the gardens outside the tower before her chore. Rosetta walked along the Tower halls and not knowing her way around very well got lost very quickly.

Rosetta starting to panik picked up her speed till she was all but running in what she though was the direction of her room. Going around a corner she hit somthing solid and went down with that something in a heap. Once Rosetta's head stopped spinning she looked at what she had ran into and saw a girl with dark brown hair and eyes slightly lighter than her hair. The girl was about 5 feet two and she had a look of pure fury on her face.

"Im so sry i was lost and i got scared.. and ..I.. um" Rosetta shut her mouth at the look the girl gave her and got up so she could get up.

OOC- hope we can have fun with this:) :D :)

Faile was just returning from her next White Tower and the World class, loaded with a whole pile of book she was to read and fuming inside about the way Saya Sedai had upbraided her for being late to class again. Wasn´t one allowed to take a little nap in between that frenzy of writing, being lectured, reading and doing one´s chores? Well, there apparently wasn´t as the Mistress of Novices´switch had unmitakenly taught her for quite awhile now. Her bottom still hurting and her muscles tight and strained from all the sitting in class and having had to scrub floors the entire day before, all Faile wanted to do now was taking a little nap and put her feet up somewhere. Just doing nothing would be bliss right now.

But what was it that she got now? Rest? Peace? Quiet? No! One moment having paused in idleness in the garden, she just wanted to turn around a corner and what happened? She was run down completely by something hard, crashing right into her and sending her books flying scattered all over the ground, papers whirling around her.

"Blood and bloody ashes!", Faile exclaimed in a fury, rubbing her backside unconsciously which was exploding in new pain now. "Burn you, but can´t you look where you are going?" She was in a really shouting frenzy now, unnerved and not caring about the narrow loooks a bunch of Accepted passing by them were giving them. Drawing herself upright, trying to smooth her skirts, already knowing that she would have to spend the afternoon washing them as they had nasty green grassy spots all over them, Faile looked into the other novices blue eyes, her stare glaring furiously as she angrily gathered her book again, wincing aobut her latedst paper having been crumpled by a large volume of "The Time of Madness". "Look what you have done!", Faile cried, "Do you know how long it will take me to bring that all in order again? Light, burn you, what made you run me down like that? Don´t you have eyes in your head?" Faile´s usually friendly face was flushed with rage and anger at the prospect of how she would spend her precious free time now. Light as if she didn´t have enough to do even without that girl running her down!

Rosetta was worried the girl would be mad at her but shouting it was time to give this girl a peice of her mind. "I SAID I WAS SORRY!!!" "YOU DONT HAVE TO YELL!!!!" Rosetta shouted back at her. By the look on her face noone had ever shouted back before. "Ill help you fix your stuff if you want i was just lost and worried that a sister would find me and give me something to do in my free time" Rosetta said in a MUCH milder tone.

"I SAID I WAS SORRY!!!" "YOU DONT HAVE TO YELL!!!!"

Taking an irritated step back, surprised about the other novice´s sudden outburst, Faile eyed her frowning and a little taken aback. Well, she had been the first to shout, but anyway, what ailed this girl to just yell at her like a madwoman?

Shaking her head, Faile continued picking up her scattered papers, vainly trying to get the dog´s ears out of them, but it seemed that this was more than futile and muttering angrily under her breath as she frowned at the wet stains on the covers of her precious books hoping that they hadn´t sufffered any major damage.

"Ill help you fix your stuff if you want i was just lost and worried that a sister would find me and give me something to do in my free time"

Despite herself, Faile suddenly had to laugh out loud. "You too?", she said still chuckling. "Oh, well I have to say you have done a fairly good job in trying to avaid their attention", she said gesturing to the bunch of Accepted standing close by them, their eyes on them in silent reprimand for shouting.

"I am Faile al´Rahien by the way", Faile said, her tone suddenly a lot more friendly than before. Afte all the other girl in front of her looked too funny with that face she made noticing the Accepteds´attention on them. "Who are you anyway?"

The novice Rosetta had knocked into started giggleing and said "I am Faile al´Rahien by the way", in a voice that said she was sorry. "Who are you anyway?""I am Rosetta Squall" As she was talking she bent down and started helping pick up papers that had been slung everywhere when the books hit the ground.

After picking up the papers on the ground Rosetta asked if Faile could show her where the novice rooms were. Faile said she was headed there anyway and briskly started to walk away. About halfway there Faile almost droped the books again and Rosetta offered to help carry them to her room.

OOC- i hope this is ok i cant think very good right now sry :)

Faile´s anger at Rosetta dissipated almost as quickly as it had come. It really was strange, but it seemed to happen so often at her that one moment she could feel capable to tear one´s eyes out in fury only to find herself thinking about why she had overreacted that much in the next instant. Same now with Rosetta. Faile really felt sorry for having shouted at her like that, but anyway, she only had been unnerved because all of her work seemed to have been in vain. Right now though, with Rosetta helping her to gather and rearrange her things, Faile´s temper cooled down and when the other novice asked her for the directions to the Novice Quarters, Faile got up and told her cheerfully, that she was on her way there anyway and thus would accompany her. After all she had some time left before her next class was due and why not use it to help another and maybe gain a friend? After all, Faile had to admit despite herself, she did feel rather lonely in the White Tower despite her excitement to learn as much and as fast as possible about the One Power.

When they had finished collecting her scattered things then, Faile got to her feet again and indicated Rosetta to follow her. As they walked through the Tower Gardens, bobbing a curtsy here and there to a passing by Aes Sedai or Accepted, Faile couldn´t rein in her own curiosity anymore and finally asked: "So, Rosetta, how long have you been at the White Tower and where do you come from? I don´t recall having seen you here before."

Lyia had wanted some time to herself, some time without curtsies and scurrying and manners and chatter and filling her brain with information, and selecting a walk through the Tower Gardens had been a grave miscalculation on her part. It seemed as though every step saw her bending knee and neck to someone, Sister or Accepted. Twice she was almost asked to run an errand but luckily she was quite good at looking confused and the first time the Accepted had simply gotten tired of trying to explain. The second time she had to stand through a lecture from an Aes Sedai about maintaining composure but at least she hadn't been forced to do whatever it was the woman was after. Ok, so maybe that wasn't the best way for a Novice to act, but she just wanted one hour to herself. Surely that wasn't too much to ask.

Suddenly ahead Lyia saw a pair of Novices with their backs to her, headed somewhere and seemingly unburdened with a chore or errand. Well, there was safty in numbers, right? She walked a bit faster until she caught up with the two. Falling in beside one she said:

"Hope you don't mind me tagging along. Just trying to get out of these blasted gardens without being asked to do something like run a letter here or find that person over there. I figure I've got better odds with you two if you don't mind."

Realizing it probably sounded like she was up to something or worse yet, using them as cover, Lyia smiled warmly. She also had failed to introduce herself.

"I'm Lyia Kebede." She almost gave a curtsy with her name as it had become habit already in the short time she was in the Tower. Still, she managed to refrain. Good thing too. Wouldn't do to have other Novices expecting curtsies now would it?

Rosetta was wlking next to Faile going in what she though was the direction of the novice quarters when suddenly Faile spoke. "So, Rosetta, how long have you been at the White Tower and where do you come from? I don´t recall having seen you here before." Rosetta was taken by suprise and hesitated amoment before responding.

"Well... ive been here almost a week and im from Four Kings in Andor. Wher are you from and how long have you been here?" Rosetta liked the way this conversation was going she was about to make her first friend if things went better than how they started.

Faile was saved the trouble of answering when another novice ran up and started walking next to Rosetta. "Hope you don't mind me tagging along. Just trying to get out of these blasted gardens without being asked to do something like run a letter here or find that person over there. I figure I've got better odds with you two if you don't mind." Rosetta looked doubtfully at Faile just as the novice continued "I'm Lyia Kebede." Rosetta chuckled when Lyia almost curtsied and looked at Faile who seemed on the brink of bursting.

OOC- ok didnt know where to go from here *hands the reins to Faile* :D :D

"Well... ive been here almost a week and im from Four Kings in Andor. Wher are you from and how long have you been here?" , Rosetta said, a trifle of reluctance in her voice as though she hadn´t expected that question by Faile.

Andoran...Well, the White Tower is of all nations and none..., Faile mused absent-mindedly, recalling that line from a lesson she had received by Elyssa not long ago. Brooding over her own thoughts and thinking of how much she´d like to travel to all countries of the World once, Faile completely missed Rosetta´s question and that she was expected to reply to it. But then again, her attention was caught by another Novice who was approaching them rather hurriedly, but thank the Light without running them down like Rosetta had.

"Hope you don't mind me tagging along. Just trying to get out of these blasted gardens without being asked to do something like run a letter here or find that person over there. I figure I've got better odds with you two if you don't mind." A wide smile brightened Faile´s face at this and she had to chuckle involuntarily. Light! The Sisters really should think of something not to make us all want to escape their grasp and chores...Fetch this, speak to her, sweep that floor, bring back those books...Light, that "character building" of them is really exaggerated...Well, if she wanted to escape from any more chores, she seemed to be perfectly right with Faile and Rosetta definitely.

"I'm Lyia Kebede." , the girl said and when she was about to curtsy right in front of them, Faile could barely hold back from laughing out loud. This was just riddiculus, who had ever heard of a Novice curtsying to other novices. Well, it looked like this particular Novice needed their help really badly and since Faile was happy to finally meet some people who didn´t send her on countless errands whenever they met her, she took the other novice by the arm to indicate her to come with them.

"Nice to meet you, Lyvia, peace be with you", she said, blushing only slightly as she noticed the old ways from her native Shienar coming through in her speech again. "My name is Faile al´Rahien and that is Rosetta Squall", she said, nodding towards Rosetta. "Now, as you seem to be in the same trouble as we are, why don´t you join us? We are on our way to the Novices Quarters and if we don´t get lost again - which seems very likely, considering my apparent lack of orientation", Faile let out a sigh of resignation, but nonetheless a mischieveous smile gave her away, "So...it might take a while since somehow every corner of the White Tower seems to look alike at some point...but I have a vague notion to where we have to go, so if you come along we could try our best to get away without being given another chore so far."

Speaking of that, Faile suddenly spotted two Sisters and Accepted coming along towards them and gripping her two companions by the arm, Faile hurriedly dragged them behind a hedge, telling them to duck and remain quiet with a hurried gesture. Letting out a breath of relief as the group of women walked by, Faile´s eyes flashed in mischief as she spoke joyfully: "Well, we have to be wary and careful, don´t we?" This would have to turn out to be fun, she decided.

"Nice to meet you, Lyvia, peace be with you" Rosetta looked at Faile and was astonished that she was blushing for what she had no idea. "My name is Faile al´Rahien and that is Rosetta Squall", she said, nodding towards Rosetta.

Rosetta started to say hi but Faile grabed onto her and pulled her into a corner telling her to be quiet. Only after two sisters and an accepted passed did she know why they had been dragged to the corner. "Well, we have to be wary and careful, don´t we?" Rosetta grined at Faile and took her by the arm and started in the direction they had been going in before the accepted and two sisters walked by.

Once they had been walking for a few minuets Rosetta asked "So girls what brought you to Tar Valon?" "For me i was looking for help with a problem i was having but i ran into my mentor Lavinya Sedai in the market, boy did she get mad." Rosetta started giggling when she thought how she had met Faile by running into her as well only Lavinya didnt fall...thank God.

Though she felt a bit silly crouched behind a bush, Lyia much prefered that to the feeling of carrying around stacks of books and what not or scrubbing pots. She glanced at Faile and smiled. The girl definitly had the right idea.

Walking again, she listened to Rosetta talk about her arrival, remembering her own. Luckily, it didn't involve anything too embarrassing. The journey over, however, was a different matter.

"I came to be tested," Lyia said and shruged. There wasn't much more to it than that. "I decided I wanted to be an Aes Sedai so I set out for Tar Valon to be tested. To be honest, I set out to join the Tower. It didn't even occur to me that I might not have the ability."

Lyia had always done what she set out to do. Even as a child, she would make up her mind and get her way one way or another. That wasn't to say she didn't have to work hard at some things or that she was lucky. She was simply very determined when she wanted something.

"So what about you?" she said, turning to Faile with a smile. "I bet you've got a better story than mine at least."

Faile smiled faintly as she listened to the stories of how Rosetta and Lyia had come to the White Tower and her smile even widened when she caught the expectant looks the two of them were giving her waiting for her to tell her story.

"Oh well", she said at last, "I don´t know if I really have a better story than you two", she smiled, "In fact mine is very much the same as yours. I came here after I was tested as well. There was this Aes Sedai who came to my parents shop when they were rebuilding the house that had been burned deown by a fire some time ago." Faile´s face shadowed at the recollection of what had happened that night, of how horrified she had been when she had seen that bunch of Trollocs ransack and plunder the part of Fal Dara she and her parents had lived in. Sometimes she still woke up at night, thinking she smelled smoke and her heart pounding in terror expecting to see a horde of Trollocs run into her room that very instant.

"Well, we were lucky after all", she continued, speaking as though to herself, "None of us died thank the Light and what had been burned down could be rebuilt. That was when that Aes sedai, of the Blue Ajah I think she said she was, though she never gave her name, came to our house, stopping by in Fal Dara for some reason. She tested me and told me I had the spark and brought me here, fullfilling a kind of childhood dream, though I hated to leave my family behind with all that work at that time. But they told me there would be no safer place than the White Tower for me and anyway if I went I´d finally stop to ramble about wanting to learn to channel in front of them", Faile smiled absent-mindedly, recalling those nights she had spent totally fascinated and excited, bent over her books telling of the Age of Legends, of the White Tower and the Breaking of the World. Now she was here to learn all of that from first hand. She still felt a little like living in a story and really hoped it would turn out to be a good one as well.

Rosetta was listening to Faile talking about how she came to the white tower when down the corridor they would take to the novice quarters she saw a group of accepted talking and warned the other two girls not to go that way. Once taking the long way to the novice quarters they arrived at Rosetta's room and she asked "Would you like to come in and we can continue talking?" After they said yes the girls all piled into the small room.

"So what are some of your intrests?? My main thing is plants as a girl i always loved plants and now im in a herb class and i get to learn all about them also i absolutly love to read!!!" Rosetta looked expectantly at the other two girls for answers to her question.

OOC- sry i assumed that they would agree to come into her room if not tell me and ill correct it :D :D
